C'est pour ça que je conseillais de conserver le profil. Mais les conseils prodigués par Winux étaient tout autre et certainement pas judicieux !

Tu pourras regarder le mot de passe et l'identifiant du compte.

Si tu supprimes (sans rebooter, c'est inutile ... même sous windows), tu perdras tous tes comptes, tes courriels et ton ou tes carnets d'adresses ... c'est bête non !

Il est préférable de créer un nouveau profil que tu peux localiser où tu veux (par défaut tous les profils d'un même utilisateurs se trouvent sous /home/nom_utilisateur/.thunderbird/).
Ouvre un terminal et tape :

thunderbird -p

Ceci ouvrira le gestionnaire de profil => crée le nouveau profil puis démarre dessus.
Referme TBird, il redémarrera sur ce nouveau profil.

Ensuite, tu pourras toujours aller chercher les fichiers qui t'intéressent dans l'ancien profil.
Une fois que tu seras sûr d'avoir bien récupéré tout ce dont tu as besoin, tu pourras supprimer cet ancien profil (toujours avec le gestionnaire de profil).
