edit le script de lancement qui doit se trouver dans user/bin/ecofax
si tu y trouve la ligne :
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$dirname/.lib
essaye de remplacer la ligne par :
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$dirname/.lib64

Sur la page http://www.ovh.fr/sms_et_fax/logiciel_ecofax.xml j'ai downloadé et installé la version 64 bits d'Ecofax. Seulement avec Quantal je rencontre une erreur, ça crashe dès que je ne lance. Via la console j'ai ce message d'erreur :

$ ecofax 
Cannot mix incompatible Qt library (version 0x40803) with this library (version 0x40802)
Aborted (core dumped)

Sous Precise Pangolin je n'avais aucun souci.
