Je viens d'avoir le même problème avec un AspireOne 722, après avoir installé Ubuntu Quantal 12.10   64bit.
et ta solution marche parfaitement

gksudo gedit /etc/modules

ajoutes a la fin une ligne :
brcmsmac

enregistres et quittes gedit
redemarres le pc

La commande sudo modprobe brcmsmac fonctionne.
sudo depmod -a: rien à signaler.
Mais sudo update-initramfs -u:

J'ai quand même redémarrer mon ordinateur après ça mais le wifi ne s'active pas automatiquement il a fallu que je refasse la première commande pour me connecter.

Alors bon, ça me tuera pas d'à chaque fois répeter sudo modprobe brcmsmac, mais si y a moyen d'éviter ce serait cool, aussi si tu pouvais m'expliquer la réponse de la dernière commande, ce serait grandement apprécié, car je comprend absolument pas le langage de linux.

sudo modprobe brcmsmac

si le wifi fonctionne

sudo depmod -a

sudo update-initramfs -u

redemarres le pc
