j'ai presque le même soucis.

Ma config :
Routeur dhcp (wifi + ethernet)
Portable sous Ubuntu client = connecté au routeur par Wifi
PC sous windows XP = Connecté au routeur par cable ethernet.

Mon problème :
Impossible de communiquer entre les deux PC.
J'arrive bien à pinger mon PC depuis mon portable et vice versa cependant samba ne reconnait pas de reseau windows partagé. Lorsque je vais dans "shared folders" puis "windows network" : Rien
j'ai bien configuré le groupe de travail en "WORKGROUP" sur les deux postes.

ca fait 2 jours que je regarde sur le net sans rien trouver qui puisse débloquer ma situation... c'est un peu embêtant! Si quelqu'un aurait la gentillesse de nous filer un ptit coup de pouce ce serait bien aimable! ;-)

Merci aussi me m'indiquer si je dois refaire un post si le problème est différent du post initial.

je ne connais pas le modèle netgear WiFi mais,
1) Y a t-il dans les menus de configuration des onglets sur le routage 802.11G/802.UTP
2) N'y-a-t-il pas des effets de bord d'adressage IP
3) Filtrage MAC ?? (je sais c'est idiot mais peut être pour limiter/empêcher le traffic wifi vers le cablé ??)

En tous cas ca doit venir de ce fameux routeur...

depuis windows tu ping ton routeur? ta ubuntu? tu accèdes sans problème au net?

Tu as un modem/routeur Netgear WiFi, bon. Ton pc windows est connecté en filaire dessus. Ton pc Ubuntu est connecté en WiFi dessus. OK (j'ai bon ???). Donc tu n'utilise que la fonction routeur du Netgear pour partager des fichiers via SAMBA entre le pc Ubuntu et le PC windows, c'est bien ça ?

Sinon quand je parlais de connexion internet+réseau c'était sur tout par rapport à nm-applet (je ne veux pas de configuration à la main à refaire à chaque fois pour le wifi).
