Moi j'utilise vmplayer pour winxp, pour le boulot et sur Hardy je n'en suis pas complétement satisfait.
J'ai effectivement lu dans le wiki que xen voir KVM étaient plus performants que vmware.
C'est dur à installer ?
J'ai un proc core 2 duo qui accepte ce type de virtualisation.
Si il y a changement de noyau est ce que çà oblige à tout reconfigurer ?

J'ai put testé tous les systeme de virtualisation..
Xen est de loin le plus performant...
L'overhead est bien moindre que les autres....
Lance une HVM Windows XP sous vmware fait des benchs et fait la meme chose sous Xen, tu verra la différence, et je ne parle même pas en ayant installé des drivers gplpv sous Windows, dans ce cas les perf sont proches du natif

Je ne suis pas un expert (loin de là), mais ceux qui reviennent toujours dans ce genre de discussion sont virtual box, vmware, vmplayer et qemu.

Personnellement je me sers de virtualbox, je n'ai jamais eu l'occasion d'essayer les autres car virtualbox me satisfait pleinement, simple et pratique.

Apparemment vmware permet de faire tourner dans une machine virtuelle un OS installé "en dur".

Voilà tout ce que je peux t'en dire hmm
