- indirectement (hub), le modem est vu en usb2 (ehci) et cela est problématique,
- directement, le modem est vu en usb1 (uhci) et cela convient?

Voila un étrange comportement...


Pour faire court:
Si je branche mon modem (fast800E2) sur un port usb du poste, no problemo. Si je branche mon modem sur un port usb d'un petit hub usb, problemo!


Pour faire long:
J'utilise Hoary (2.6.10-5-386) sur un portable HP compaq-nw8000 doté de deux ports usb (c'est peu). J'ai récupéré les paquets eagle-usb-date/utils sur le site de Ubuntu que j'ai installé avec dpkg.

Que le modem soit branché directement ou indirectement (derrière le hub), il est correctement détecté par hotplug. Lorsqu'il est branché de façon indirecte, eaglectrl -d retourne une erreur.

J'ai désinstallé les paquets Ubuntu puis compilé la version 2.3.1 de eagle-usb. Cet étrange comportement se reproduit!

J'ai un second poste sous Warty et le modem fonctionne à merveille avec le hub usb!
