Ok, l'apt-get upgrade ne renvoit pas d'erreurs...

Ca devrait donc être bon pour moi...J'ai du mail à comprendre pourquoi il manquait une guillemet en sachant que je ne me souviens pas avoir modifié manuellement ce fichier...mais bon.

En tous les cas, merci pour le soutien et l'accompagnement !

il manque un guillemet à la fin

ça ne résoudra sans doute pas le problème de maj mais c'est déjà ça

gksudo gedit /etc/default/grub

modifie

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX=""

enregistre puis

sudo update-grub

merci pour le retour à la prise en considération de mon problème.

J'ai enchaîné les 4 commandes préconisées par Garthounet mais, visiblement, ça ne résoud pas mon problème.

A là première commande, j'ai toujours :

dpkg : erreur de traitement de linux-image-3.0.0-16-generic (--configure) :
 le sous-processus script post-installation installé a retourné une erreur de sortie d'état 2
dpkg : des problèmes de dépendances empêchent la configuration de linux-image-generic :
 linux-image-generic dépend de linux-image-3.0.0-16-generic ; cependant :
 Le paquet linux-image-3.0.0-16-generic n'est pas encore configuré.
dpkg : erreur de traitement de linux-image-generic (--configure) :
 problèmes de dépendances - laissé non configuré
dpkg : des problèmes de dépendances empêchent la configuration de linux-generic :
 linux-generic dépend de linux-image-generic (= 3.0.0.16.19) ; cependant :
 Le paquet linux-image-generic n'est pas encore configuré.
dpkg : erreur de traitement de linux-generic (--configure) :
 problèmes de dépendances - laissé non configuré
Des erreurs ont été rencontrées pendant l'exécution :

Je ne suis pas suffisamment compétent pour savoir résoudre ce problème de dépendances...

j'ai des soucis depuis quelques jours (semaines) avec les mises à jour...Il se produit visiblement une erreur.

Après un sudo apt-get auto-remove, la fin du message est le suivant :
