Bonsoir, je suis moi aussi un gamer sur wow et j'aimerai savoir si il ya du changement coté compatibilité wow+linux.
Je possède moi aussi une ancienne carte graphique radeon avec laquelle j'ai toujours joué à wow sous windows xp.
J'ai été convaincu par mon père d'installer ubuntu (Lubuntu exactement) et je suis pas du genre à baisser les bras, si solution il y a aidez moi svp.

En fait, à force de surfer sur des milliers de forums, j'ai cru comprendre qu'en modifiant le fichier xorg.conf, et en créant un disque virtuel si je ne m'abuse, il y aurait peut-être une possibilité, est-ce vraiment faisable?
sinon, dans mes pilotes additionnels je ne sais pas si les bons sont activés.
j'ai vraiment beaucoup de fps avec:

désolé pour la notion de disque virtuel, c'était serveur virtuel, mais j'y connais si peu...
wow est déjà installé, je peux entrer dans le jeu mais j'ai juste une image par seconde.

Je suis sous Lubuntu suite aux conseils de Chibbata un gars du forum aussi qui nous vient en aide, hier il a activer mon direct rendering.
Ben merci de ton attention, si tu me dis que je peux laisser tomber... ben je vais chercher quand même à éditer un xorg.conf optimal en surfant sur les forums au cas où ça marcherait, il y a aussi peut-être un addon à trouver mais je n'en suis plus très sûr.
si tu as d'autres pistes n'hésites pas^^

alors j'ai lancé wow après avoir enlevé le Set gxApi "OpenGL" et ça m'a mis en écran noir impossible de me log.
le son marchait.

oui, ça marche très bien, j'ai joué sous bc et wotlk sans soucis bg raid 25, bon c'est sûr, j'avais pas des supers graphiques mais si je fais le calcul de mes kills je dois avoir passé les 50 000, et j'ai clean ulduar et icc en heal

sinon quand je compare mon xorg avec ceux des différents forums, le miens n'a qu'une dizaine de lignes,... enfin bon.

Pour ce qui est de mon wine j'utilise la dernière version mais je ne sais pas si je l'ai bien configuré...

J'aurai préféré recevoir une pyro instantanée que d'entendre ça, snif... pas windows par pitié, ça fait des semaines que je dis à mes potes que windows c pour les noobs... si je fais ça.... je suis cuît!
Bon je vais installé la 3.3.5 et si j'ai un pépin je te dirai. Merci pour ton aide.

ok, j'ai fais ce que tu m'as dis, j'ai choisi au hasard lubuntu, ça a installé plein de trucs dans le terminal suite à la commande: sudo apt-get install lubuntu-desktop
J'ai ouvert ma session en choisissant via la petite icône "lubuntu", et me voici de nouveau.
Mon bureau n'a changé en rien (précision sûrement inutile héhé)
et j'ai retenté la commande :

Alors, j'ai le choix entre:
GNOME/Openbox
Lubuntu
Lubuntu Netbook
Openbox
Ubuntu
Ubuntu2D
Ubuntu et Ubuntu2D sont cochés et les autres non.
Je clique sur Lubuntu et je me connecte avec mon mdp la petite bulle icône est vide, blanche, et ça me remets sur Unity.
Sinon quand j'avais installé Ubuntu, j'avais décoché la case "demande de mot de passe au démarrage, donc quand je boot mon pc, ça me mets dabord sous Unity et après je fais "changer de session" pour pouvoir choisir Lubuntu.

J'ai été rassuré de voir que Ctr Alt T marche toujours, j'ai au moins un repère utile^
