Bonjour,
Tout d'abord, bonne année à tous 
Mon souci est le suivant:
En pleine activité, l'écran du moniteur se met en veille sans avertissement;
Toutes les commandes (clavier, souris, bouton M/A de l'unité centrale) sont inopérantes;
Seul l'arrêt maintenu sur le bouton M/A de l'unité centrale permet d'arrêter le pc.
Au redémarrage, 2 comportements:
-La carte mère bipe une fois et le redémarrage est normal.
-La carte mère bipe 4 fois (1 long + 3 courts) pas de fonctionnement du moniteur qui est sorti de veille.
(d'après la doc de la carte mère 5asus P5QL Pro: carte VGA non détectée.
Un dual boot est installé sur ce pc (Windows 10 + Ubuntu 22.04 LTS)
Ce défaut n'existe pas lorsque le pc tourne sous Windows...

Désinstallation complète d'Opéra (fichier de config compris), téléchargement du .deb depuis Opéra puis installation via le terminal (dpkg -i ...):

Fort de vos conseils, j'ai désinstallé complétement hplip, sane , xsane.
J'ai réinstallé hplip 3.21.12 (celui d'Ubuntu 22.04), téléchargé et installé le plugin hpilp 3.22.6 puis xsane.
Et .... ça marche
Un souci à la marge, au démarrage du pc, au 1er lancement de xsane, un pop-up apparait:

J'ai réinstallé hplip 3.21.12 avec le gestionnaire de paquet Synaptic.
Et lancé le .run du plugin 3.21.12 avec le terminal.
Le terminal m'a demandé en retour d'installer le plugin le plus récent 3.22.6
Ça marche, c'est l'essentiel

Bonjour,
Au démarrage de cette machine antédiluvienne, impossible d'ouvrir la session...:(
Clic sur l'utilisateur impossible...Plus de pavé tactile, de clavier ni de souris... Les 3 prises USB ne sont plus alimentées! 
Carte mère HS ?

Apparemment, l'insertion du CD dans le lecteur a débloqué la situation... en live toutes les commandes fonctionnent (clavier, pavé tactile et souris sur port USB.
J'ai installé 16.04 avec le CD puis redémarré en bootant sur une clé USB portant 20.04LTS... L'installation est réussi et le pc fonctionne à nouveau correctement
D'ou pouvait provenir cet incident de commandes ???

Il 's'agit d'un vieux pc que je conserve en secours au cas ou
Sans coup férir, j'ai réinstallé 20.04LTS avec succès dans un premier temps...
Après le 1er redémarrage le gestionnaire de mises à jour m'a proposé 170Mo que j'ai lancé...
Au redémarrage suivant: logo Ubuntu en bas d'écran, logo rotatif au dessus puis écran noir avec - clignotant en haut à gauche

Depuis une clef USB, j'ai réinstallé 20.04.1 LTS.
Au redémarrage, pas de souci. L'ordinateur fonctionne correctement.
Puis le gestionnaire de mises à jour me propose la mise à jour vers 20.04.2...
Au redémarrage suivi: écran noir et curseur clignotant en haut à gauche de l'écran
