Bonjour,

Depuis quelques jours, lorsque je lance synaptic, soit pour installer un logiciel, soit pour faire une MAJ, après téléchargement, dans le terminal associé à la fenètre "Installation des logiciels", j'ai l'erreur suivante au début du processus d'installation:

(synaptic:7359): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_child_watch_add_full: assertion 'pid > 0' failed

Après cette ligne, le processus d'installation ou de MAJ semble se dérouler normalement.
Dois-je m'inquiéter de cette erreur concernant les logiciels installés et que signifie cette erreur ?

Vu la page citée par nam1962; il s'agit d'un bug mineur n'empêchant pas le fonctionnement du programme; c'est effectivement ce que j'avais constaté; donc on peut considérer la question comme résolue (pour le bug lui-même, on attendra un correctif).

J'ai suivi tes conseils et fait le A de ton tuto.
J'ai aussi supprimé (en fait sauvegardé dans mon home, les fichiers list saucy contenus dans /etc/apt/sources.list.d); ces sources viennent de cinnamon et de julia (un langage de script); ils ne semblent pas avoir mis à jour ces fichiers de sources.

Bonjour à tous,
Sur deux ordinateurs différents (un fixe au labo: HPz400), et mon portable chez moi (samsung sf310), l'ouverture de session cinnamon est très longue (écran vide pendant au moins une minute); le démarrage de l'ordinateur, est normal (c.a.d. rapide). J'ai pris quelques mesure de nettoyage pour tenter de corriger ce problème: bleachbit pour éliminer les résidus et fichiers temporaires, et démarrage en mode récupération avec vérification des systèmes de fichiers (qui ne comportaient pas d'erreurs, et une fragmentation raisonnable (0.5 % pour le système de fichiers racine, et 2.3% pour /home si je me souviens bien); le démarrage principal jusqu'à l'écran de session s'en est trouvé amélioré, mais l'ouverture de session est toujours aussi longue.
Je tourne avec cubuntu 14.04 LTS.
Est-ce que quelqu'un a une idée sur le pourquoi d'un tel temps de latence à l'ouverture de session; je n'ai pas testé unity; je vais le faire et je compléterai ce message, mais en attendant, je serais preneur de vos remarques.

PS: j'ai naturellement d'abord cherché sur le forum; sans rien trouver sur cette question.

J'ai essayé une session unity avec presque le même résultat (excepté que la barre latéral d'unity s'affiche, alors que le menu de cinnamon ne s'affiche qu'après le lag. J'ai aussi essayé gnome (même résultat que unity) et gnome classique (2D) qui lui s'initialise plus rapidement; ce qui m'incline à penser que c'est un problème de serveur graphique; comme je suis équipé d'une carte NVidia, il faudrait que j'essaie le serveur nv. Sais-tu comment tracer le démarrage du serveur graphique ?

Bien; j'ai désactivé les dépôts "proposed" et réinstallé le noyau 3.13.0-34 avec synaptics (il avait été "nettoyé" par ubuntu tweak). J'espère avoir réinstallé ce noyau correctement; en tous cas, j'ai pu démarrer avec, et le résultat avec cinnamon est le même lag.

Les deux écrans reconnus correspondent bien à ma situation.
Mais, il y a plusieurs warnings (WW), et plusieurs devices ignorés; peuvent-ils ralentir l'initialisation de la session ? Ce fichier d'initialisation me semble d'ailleurs nettement plus long que ce que j'avais pu consulter antérieurement (avec un autre ordinateur, il est vrai).

Else, c'est une condition alternative de la condition définie dans if;
Une erreur provient du second print; il manque les guillemets fermants pour faux.
Autre erreur: le else: ne devrait pas être indenté (il doit être au même niveau que le if).
Ici il est indenté, et l'interprète python cherche le if auquel appartient le else et ne le trouve pas.

Je viens de passer à Cinnamon 13.10; auparavant, j'étais sous 12.04; pour me connecter à un serveur, il y a une option du menu de nautilus (remplacé par nemo dans la 13.10); cette boite de dialogue sous nautilus et 12.04 donnait le choix de plusieurs type de réseaux et adaptait sa présentation pour fournir un formulaire adapté; à mon travail je dois me connecter principalement au réseau microsoft (ça n'étonnera probablement pas grand monde !).
Avec Nemo et la 13.10, je n'ai plus droit qu'à une boite basique sans spécification du type de serveur et des paramètres à fournir.
De plus la fonction parcourir ne m'est pas d'une grande utilité, car la partie du réseau qui m'intéresse n'est visible que sous windows; mais avec la précédente boite de dialogue, il n'y avait pas de problème pour se connecter.
Depuis, j'ai trouvé un moyen de me connecter via l'option de menu de Nemo "saisir un emplacement"; c'est très basique, mais à condition de connaitre les paramètres de connexion/authentification, ça marche.

Ma question:
Y a t'il un moyen de retrouver cette boite de dialogue enrichie de nautilus pour se connecter à un réseau ?

Merci pour ta réponse; en fait nautilus a été dépouillé de ses options dans cinamon2, au profit de nemo. Mais nautilus reste le gestionnaire de fichiers par défaut. Je dois donc établir nemo comme gestionnaire par défaut. En cherchant, j'ai fini par retrouver la boite de dialogue dont je parle dans mon message initial, dans le menu fichier de nemo/option: se connecter à un serveur.

J'ai rapidement cherché dans le forum et je n'ai pas trouvé de réponse; comment éditer le menu Cinnamon d'accès aux applis ? J'ai Cinnamon 13.10, et j'ai installé plusieurs nouvelles applis via synaptic; mais elles n'apparaissent pas dans le menu Cinnamon qui reste figé dans son état d'origine; pour retrouver mes nouvelles applications, il me faut basculer sur gnome, ou appeler les applis via le terminal ce qui n'est guère pratique.
D'avance merci de votre aide.

Bonjour,
J'utilise fréquemment le logiciel R, pour lequel la syntaxe d'affectation d'une valeur à une variable est la suite de deux touches "<-"
Exemple:
mois <- 12
affectera la valeur 12 à la variable mois dans R.
Il est possible d'utiliser la touche "=" mais c'est généralement déconseillé ("=" est utilisé dans le contexte des options des fonctions).
Je me plie volontiers au conseil d'utiliser "<-" pour l'affectation, mais c'est à chaque fois deux touches à presser; j'aimerais affecter cette séquence de caractère à la touche ² que je n'utilise jamais, de telle façon que lorsque je presserai cette touche, le caractère sera substitué par la séquence d'affectation, mais je ne trouve pas comment faire (à dire vrai je ne sais même pas si c'est possible); j'ai essayé un alias, mais ça ne le fait pas (la substitution n'a lieu qu'à l’exécution).
Donc je serais preneur de toute suggestion.

Désolé, j'ai oublié de préciser mon environnement: Cubuntu 12.04 bureau cinnamon ou gnome.
Et non, les utilisateurs de R ne semblent pas s'être trop penché sur cette question (du moins sur les forums que j'ai visités).
Précision: j'ai essayé de voir du coté de la config clavier; mais je n'ai pas trouvé de moyens.

Une solution m'a été finalement indiquée sur le forum de developpez.com:
avec l'éditeur RStudio la combinaison Alt + - (la même touche que le chiffre 6 en haut du clavier) produit " <- " (soit espace<-espace).

Dans le cadre d'un projet, je dois utiliser une vieille version de R (2.3.1; datant au alentour de 2006), à cause d'un package incompatible avec les versions récentes; seule solution, compiler R; mais le code source fait appel à une vieille version de la libc, et provoque une erreur, si j'essaie de le compiler sur ubuntu 12.10:

Je vais consulter ces ressources; néanmoins, ma question portait plus sur la bibliothèque C.
Ce que je crains, c'est que le système tienne compte de cette bibliothèque et qu'un conflit avec la libc légitime apparaisse.

Aussi, ce que j'aimerais savoir, c'est s'il est possible de lier statiquement la libc, et s'il est difficile de changer la chaine de compilation de R pour le faire.
Ainsi, après compil, je pourrais toujours désinstaller la vieille libc (ou alors, c'est que je mélange tout, ce qui est très possible neutral)

Bonjour,
Sous ubuntu (12.04, mais c'était vrai aussi avec 11.10), lorsqu'on ouvre une fenêtre de dialogue (pas toutes, mais c'est le cas de la fenêtre d'enregistrement, en particulier dans firefox), celle-ci n'a pas de barre de titre et reste collée à la barre de titre de l'application principale.
Lorsque une autre boite de dialogue s'ouvre en même temps (par exemple une alerte de google agenda), elle reste cachée, mais conserve sa priorité, et bloque la fenêtre d'enregistrement.
ça pourrait se corriger en déplaçant la fenêtre d'enregistrement pour découvrir la fenêtre d'alerte; mais justement, elle est collée à la barre de titre, et c'est firefox qui est déplacé; impossible de s'en sortir sans forcer la fermeture de firefox.

Y a t'il quelque part dans gnome un moyen de forcer l'indépendance des boites de dialogue.

le problème n'est pas spécifique à Firefox, et donc ne vient pas de lui.

Pour info, voici une petite liste évidemment incomplète d'applications ayant ou pas ce comportement:

Finalement, j'ai retrouvé ma connexion; il semble y avoir eu plusieurs erreurs simultanées:
Le driver : l'ancien driver de maverick finalement fonctionne correctement; je l'ai verrouillé dans synaptic.
La freebox optique; il faut que je me documente un peu plus, mais il se pourrait qu'il y ait une instabilité de ce coté; j'ai essayé de redémarrer la  box et ça a marché.
Enfin, deux connexions concurrentes; pour continuer à chercher des solutions sur le net, j'avais aussi branché la liaison filaire sur la même freebox; et il me semble avoir lu quelque part que les deux connexions ne cohabitent pas bien. Lorsque j'ai redémarré la freebox, par chance, la liaison filaire était déconnectée.

Plusieurs erreurs simultanées; ça rend la recherche de la solution plutôt difficile ! A garder en mémoire.

Et finalement, c'est le module bcm80211 qui semble le bon, dans mon cas; j'ai testé les commandes que tu as indiquées, et j'ai perdu la liaison, et l'ai retrouvée en déchargeant wl et en rechargeant bcm80211; le plus curieux, c'est que le driver indiqué dans administration/pilotes supplémentaires est activé, mais indiqué comme inutilisé ! Il y a encore beaucoup de détails que je ne comprends pas sad
Donc il n'est pas exclu que je doive réactiver ce message un jour; en attendant, je l'étiquette comme résolu smile
