Bonjour à vous!
Merci pour ce travail Ubuntu Sécurisée 11.10 qui m'a permis de stabiliser une oem Vista sur desktop Acer+bsod systémique, de la désintégrer partiellement mais conserver les pièces pour réparer les fenêtres fissurées, au cas où...
Tout a fonctionné à la perfection, je retrouve mon espace disque, ça tourne!
Pourriez vous s'il vous plaît me (nous) préciser les dépots nécessaires pour que la version installée fonctionne bien, ainsi que l'utilité d'avoir par défaut activés le code source, etc.?
Je soumets cette question suite à une modification malheureuse de ces sources par défaut, et je n'ai pu trouver les informations sur la page de documentation du site doc.ubuntu.fr pour réparer l'erreur.
Merci de bien vouloir m'affranchir, merci encore.

Salut,
Est-ce que ton ventilo tourne toujours trop lorsque tu es connecté à ta session? Si non, c'est pas grave, tous mes ordis (apple et autres confondus) font tourner leurs ventilos au démarrage. S'il s'agit d'un "vieux" portable, ça tourne plus souvent que des plus récents.
Est-ce: un portable? une tour? marque/config? version d'Ubuntu utilisée?

dégats: my pets have died, 1PowerMacg5 bipro, 1 PowerMac g4 bipro, 1studio display 19" 3DD externes, cables, hubs, claviers, souris, etc. Là je vous écris avec un Dell 1525 relooké (il fonctionne!), genre simili-cuir, sky fondu et super vague sur dalle, waaou!
Et dans la foulée, j'ai du faire des recovery et installation Vista sur pc Acer, et apprendre via une collection 40 Vista books pour aider mon amie.
J'ai une bronchite et plus de carte son.

Bonjour,
Le problème est simple chez moi et une Karmic fraîche, impossible de changer le mot de passe utilisateur en méthode graphique, ni par Utilisateurs et Groupes ni par Clés et chiffrement. Is it a feature? Est-ce normal? Une question de groupe? Pourriez vous m'indiquer comment faire pour changer ce mdp, ou les manipulations à faire pour que le changement soit pris en compte (puisque via le graphique, les changements semblent acceptés, mais en réalité non).
Evidamment, je préfère la méthode graphique, mais s'il n'y a que le passwd qui peut faire ça, allons-y.

Oui, je m'identifie pour déverrouiller et l'un et l'autre; ça à l'air de fonctionner mais ça ne prend rien en compte, après restart ou déconnexion...J'ai bien réussi à changer le mdp pour le trousseau mais pas celui de l'utilisateur.

je vais essayer ce recours, cependant je ne trouve pas normal que "l'administrateur" doive se connecter en recovery puis root shell pour pouvoir changer ce mdp. L'intérêt des interfaces ne sert plus à rien dans ces conditions. Et puis avant de passer par une action rédhibitoire ou mal interprétée par gdm (ça arrive) je préfère demander conseil tant qu'il est possible de passer par la session graphique et agir dessus.

J'ai récemment écrasé mon hdd pour une install fraîche de Karmic avec un /home séparé. J'ai installé Pidgin pour me rendre compte que ni lui, ni Empathy ne pouvaient se connecter. J'ai lu ces topics:

bien, c'est que je ne comprends pas tout. J'ai au départ partitionné en deux: la première install était hardy, qui a posé son Grub. Puis sur l'autre partition (espace libre), j'ai installé via une alternate Karmic, Karmic en ext4. Alors que je pensais que Hardy allait rester le choix par défaut (et pas dans other operating system), Karmic est devenu le système par défaut (est-ce là le truc?) et Hardy est passé dans other operating system. Et là, au démarrage, figure en 1er Karmic et dans other OS, 8.04 alors que j'ai upgradé celle-ci en 9.04.
Alors est-ce dans Karmic que je dois faire le sudo update-grub?

Merci jeanjd63...je suis confus parce que c'est ce que je pensais au départ mais j'ai préféré avoir des avis plus pertinents, le gars pas sûr de lui. A la base, je voulais garder la LTS par défaut, d'où les questions avant installation que j'avais posé ici: http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=321105, et ja'vais fini par laisser faire Karmic.

Je retire le [résolu] car sudo update-grub ne fonctionne sur aucune des versions que j'ai. I am puzzled. Il s'agit bien de ce bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour … bug/202009, et pour le moment ça n'a pas l'air de bouger beaucoup. Si quelqu'un a la solution, un fil plus fourni à ce sujet, merci de m'en faire part.

Bon, je cafouille...après avoir viré les noyos inutiles et fait le sudo update-grub dans Karmic, ça m'a fait sauté les entrées pour Jaunty dans le Grub, j'ai remis mon ancien menu.lst.
Ca sent le backup/clean install. De plus je ne suis pas persuadé d'avoir fait le bon choix en passant par des mises à niveau successives. Je vais retourner dans les docs pour mieux comprendre. Ce que misaine a indiqué est peut-être la bonne solution, je vais réessayer.

si tu veux tu peux utiliser la fonction Fichier>Imprimer>Imprimer dans un fichier de firefox, c'est déjà ça (pdf et .ps). Aussi, il y a moyen avec Shutter ou Istanbul de faire des captures de fenêtres entières.

C'est tout ce que je peux faire. Sinon tu peux essayer de nettoyer ton système avec les commandes dpkg (cf doc, man, etc.); il existe aussi des journaux systèmes dans l'administration qui permettent de voir les erreurs et ce qui plante.

tu peux essayer de récupérer tes bookmarks et autres dans le dossier caché du home nommé .mozilla, puis créer un autre profil par la suite (en ayant fait une sauvegarde de l'ancien, puis supprimé le défaillant), c'est une idée...bon courage!
