Bonjour,
d'avance je m'excuse si je ne poste pas au bon endroit. C'est que je ne sais pas trop où c'est le plus adéquate, n'hésitez pas à me dire, au besoin, je déplacerai.
Voilà mon problème : j'ai fait une clean instal pour passer de xub 12.04 32 bits à xub 14.04 64 bits. Sous Precise, j'avais un conky qui me notifiait mes mails par conkyemail, provenant du dépot conky-companions. Or, ce dépot n'existe plus après Quantal (je crois, de mémoire). Les commandes pop3_unseen et imap_unseen ne fonctionnent pas chez moi, j'ignore pourquoi. Donc, ma question est : comment notifier les mails dans conky en avril 2014 ?
D'avance merci beaucoup.

j'ai des comptes sur laposte.net, et d'autres sur teria.fr. Jusqu'à présent, sur Precise, ça fonctionnait avec conkyEmail, mais qui n'est plus installable sur Trusty. C'est bien là le hic...

c'est exactement le même problème que j'évoquais plus haut avec conkyEmail (c'est le même dépot, je crois).
J'ai la même issue avec le .deb

Bonjour,

j'ai voulu redimensionner deux partirions du même DD externe, par Gparted. J'ai lancé l'opération hier soir, et vu le temps que cela prenait, je suis parti me coucher, en laissant la machine travailler. Ce matin, message d'erreur, comme quoi Gparted a quitté inopinément, ou un truc dans le genre. Je lance Thunar, je vois sdb2, mais plus sdb3 (ce sont les 2 partitions concernées par le redimensionnement). Je relance Gparted, il me reconnait sdb2, normalement, mais sb3 est en noir, indiquant "inconnu" dans la colonne "Type de fichier".

J'ai commencé à fouiner un peu, et voici quelques données :

A quoi corresponde STP, ces 2 lignes de commande ? Est-ce du diagnostic, ou déjà du traitement ?

Bonsoir,
j'ai fait le saut de Precise à Trusty par une clean install. J'en ai profité, ayant changé de machine entre temps (en gardant le disque dur, c'est pour ça que je ne l'avais pas fait à ce moment là), pour passé de la version 32 bits à la 64 bits (au cas où ça pourrat avoir une importance quelconque).Tout s'est globalement bien passé, et sans grand boulversement. Visiblement, tout tourne sans pépin.
Seul problème qui m'amène ici, c'est l'affichage des applications en Gtk3 (donc de plus en plus, quand même), qui est plus que merdique. Le curseur de la souris laisse des traces de son passage lorsque j'utilise l'ascenseur du touchpad pour faire défiler, et il faut que je repasse le curseur sans défilement pour les effacer. C'est un peu pénible, pour ne rien vous cacher... Et je ne sais pas trop où chercher une solution. J'ai essayé plusieurs thèmes Gtk, et c'est à chaque fois pareil.

Je n'ai trouvé qu'un seul thème qui soit aussi propre sur gtk2 que sur gtk3... Gnomish. Il est beau, et ça me fait une solution temporaire. Temporaire seulement, car d'une part ce n'est pas non plus mon préféré, et d'autre part, il est un peu moins performant aux tests gtkperf. Et pis d'abord, j'aime bien comprendre et solutionner. Na !

Edit : Animus aussi fonctionne à peu près correctement.

il y a juste un truc que je ne comprends pas : pourquoi migres-tu de la 12.04 à la 12.10, précisément la semaine où sort la 14.04 ? Pendant un temps, je restais systématiquement avec une version de "retard", histoire d'être sûr que tous les bugs de jeunesse aient été résolus, mais là, quand même, ça te fais rien de moins que 3 versions de décalage !...

Non, si ru regardes la dernière ligne du conky (même flou, ça se lit...), on voit même une température très basse (29°), alors que cela fait déjà un moment que le CPU tourne à fond (cf le graph). C'est d'autant plus étonnant. Surtout que la machine rame vraiment, donc pour la batterie je ne sais pas, mais pour le CPU, ce n'est pas une information éronnée de conky, visiblement.

Une chose est sûre, c'est que ton conky te bouffe déjà 2*12% du cpu,
et que, étant graphique, il sollicite xorg, donc encore plus de cpu...
  Est-ce que ça vaut le coup ?

Je ne me suis pas vraiment posé la question comme ça, vu que c'est, me semble-t-il tous les processus qui montent en charge le CPU, sans modifier le classement, si tu veux. Mais je ferai le test, parce que, même si ce n'est jamais arrivé sur la consommation de ressources, j'ai aussi déjà vu qu'un conky qui fonctionnait comme une horloge suisse sur une machine patauge sur une autre (au niveau de son affichage, par exemple).
Et pour dire que tous les processus consommaient plus de CPU, je me suis peut-être arrêté qu'au trois premiers, qui sont toujours un peu les mêmes (xorg, conky en font partie). Donc à vérifier avec d'autres processus... Merci pour le Ctrl+Maj+C, je ne savais pas.

Sinon, en y réfléchissant, je me disais :
- un xorg.conf valable sur une machine, mais bugant sur une autre, c'est possible ça ?
- démarrer en option acpi=off, ça peut faire avancer queque chose ? (au passage, comment on fait déjà ?)

Et puis, hier soir, le bug s'est déclenché 2 fois en rabattant l'écran du PC, vérouillant ainsi l'écran. Si ça peut aider à comprendre...

Un logiciel pour serveur, plus ta question sur le graphique : peut-être as-tu transplanté vers ton portable  ton disque (je le fais tout le temps, ça marche très bien si on évite tout pilote graphique spécifique), mais à partir d'un ancien serveur ?
  En lisant la première fois ton #8, j'avais compris que tu avais transplanté un processeur. En le relisant, je penche pour le disque ET le proc.

Je n'ai transplanter que le disque dur, mais pas à partir d'un serveur, bel et bien d'un desktop, en plus d'un modèle très proche du nouveau.

Par ailleurs, j'ai bien remarqué ce truc AppArmor, que je n'avais jamais vu avant, et qui apparait de temps en temps, et mouline à chaque fois que je rebranche sur le secteur. Je vire et je teste.

Franchement, je n'y comprends rien. J'ai l'impression en fait que le bug est totalement aléatoire, je n'identifie pas ce qui le déclenche. Je me suis aperçu que ce n'était pas forcément lorsque la batterie était pleine : là, par exemple, voilà au moins 3 h que j'ai réussi à la charger totalement, et que le laptop tourne sur secteur de manière tout à fait normale, alors que précédemment, j'ai du resté sur batterie jusqu'environ 10 % de charge, avant de pouvoir rebrancher sans déclencher le bug.
Bref, ça me fait tourner la tête ce truc...

Ok, c'est fait.
Je me demande en fait si le bug ne se déclenche pas à l'occasion de mouvements (même infimes, provoqués par un déplacement du PC) du connecteur du chargeur dans son emplacement sur le PC. Il n'y a pas de jeu apparent, mais plusieurs fois l'incident est survenu en déplaçant la machine, et à l'instant, de titiller ce connecteur le resout ou le re-déclenche.
Du coup, l'énigme peut-elle trouver une solution "logicielle" ?...

Bon, je ne sais pas trop quoi te dire sur ce passe en brachant ou débranchant, relatif à des réglages. Je n'ai rien réglé, à vrai dire, et mise à part une notification en pop-up et apparmor qui se manifeste, je n'ai pas observé grand chose.

Cela dit, suite à mon observation relative au connecteur, j'ai approfondi l'inspection du matériel, et j'ai découvert que le fil entre le chargeur et le PC avait été sérieusement pincé (fil métallique apparent), et qu'en titillant cet endroit précis, tout le reste du fil étant immobile, je déclenchais ou arrêtais le bug à la demande (j'ai arrêté de titiller quand j'ai vu une étincelle). J'ai "immobilisé" cet endroit précis, j'ai réparé le cordon, et depuis, plus rien à signaler.
Je ne m'explique absolument pas comment une détérioration matérielle au niveau de l'alimentation électrique pouvait avoir un impact de l'ordre du fonctionnement logiciel, mais il semblerait pourtant que ce soit le cas...
Je laisse tourner quelques jours en utilisation normale, et si le bug ne réapparait pas, je passerai le topic en résolu.
Touteois, si un début d'explication rationnelle pouvait m'être apportée, je serais bien content parce que là franchement, ça échappe à ma logique.
En attendant, merci infiniment du temps passé sur mon problème, même si c'était un peu "inutile". Cest toujours rassurant de ne pas se sentir seul wink

Salut,
j'ai fait une réparation des plus propres possible, après documentation sur internet, avec adhésif d'isolation et gaine thermoretractable à chaque "étage", et contrôle au voltmètre avant raccordement au PC, même si j'étais assez confiant en moi.
Pour ce que tu m'expliques par la suite, ça me fait mieux comprendre le rapport qu'il peut exister entre le symptome observé et la cause détéctée, ça devient logique dans mon esprit. D'ailleurs, avec l'ACPI en off, le problème persistait, mais bien moindre, ce qui pourrait corroborer.
Pour le changement de version, s'il fallait trois mises à niveau, j'aurais directement installé la dernière par dessus. Là, je vais attendre le mois d'avril.
