Bonjour à tous,

J'ai une vénérable imprimante HP Laserjet 4 plus qui jusqu'à présent fonctionnait très bien (lentement mais bien wink ) avec Xubuntu 12.04.
Je viens de déménager, j'ai tout rebranché comme avant, mais maintenant l'imprimante ne me sort plus que des pages blanches...
Pas de message d'erreur, mais page blanche.
L'imprimante a peut-être été un peu bousculée pendant le déménagement ? C'est ça qui ne lui plairait pas ?
Que puis-je faire pour que tout revienne dans l'ordre ?

Une réinstall plus tard... pas mieux.
J'ai l'impression (!) que c'est moins un problème logiciel que matériel.
Mais comment savoir si j'ai raison ? Et comment résoudre ce pb ?

Alors quelques réponses pour élaguer :
- l'encre est ok, j'imprimais encore une semaine avant le déménagement et pas le moindre manque de toner
- ce n'est pas un port usb mais un parallèle (oui, c'est une antiquité), en un seul exemplaire
- c'est à partir de plusieurs logiciels différents que j'ai tenté d'imprimer, sans résultat.

Bonjour,

Alors j'ai essayé, et je la vois bien dans CUPS, mais elle me sort toujours des pages blanches (page de test ou autre impression).
J'ai essayé aussi avec une autre cartouche qui fonctionne (empruntée au boulot pour le w-e), et pas mieux.

Je commence à désespérer...

Bonjour,

J'ai toujours mon problème de pages blanches à l'impression...
Une petite vérification toute simple (que j'aurais dû faire depuis longtemps) : la page de test déclenchée par l'imprimante elle-même sort blanche elle aussi.
Ce qui me fait dire que le problème ne vient pas de l'ordi ni du pilote, c'est un problème matériel.
Peut-être 2 pièces qui ne sont plus bien alignées, ou quelque chose de ce genre... c'est d'autant plus frustrant que ça ne semble pas être grand-chose. Encore faut-il savoir quoi vérifier !

Est-ce que quelqu'un a des connaissances, ou une expérience de ces pannes ?

Bonsoir tout le monde,

J'ai une colle avec l'ordi de mes parents.
Thunderbird démarre, puis après 5 secondes (pendant lesquelles on ne peut rien faire, les menus ne répondent pas...) toute la fenêtre devient grisée, et la seule solution est de forcer la fermeture ("le processus ne répond pas, voulez-vous forcer à quitter ?"). Je précise que pendant ce temps, l'ordi n'est pas bloqué, on peut faire autre chose : Firefox marche très bien, par exemple.
Le démarrage de Tbird en -safe-mode ne change rien au problème.
La machine tourne sous Ubuntu 10.04 lts, et Tbird est en version 17.0.5 (et tout nu, pas de thème exotique installé, pas de son spécifique, juste la base).

Quelqu'un a des idées ?

Non, je n'ai pas testé la mise à jour... disons que je fais toutes les mises à jour que le gestionnaire propose.
Pourquoi n'a-t-il pas fait les changements de version depuis la 17 ? Mystère...
C'est aussi pour ça que j'hésite un peu : sauter directement de la 17 à la 24, tout en restant sous 10.04, est-ce que ça ne va pas poser problème ?
Mais il va bien falloir que je fasse quelque chose...

Bon, finalement depuis l'autre jour il y a eu une mise à jour noyau, et depuis tout à l'air d'être rentré dans l'ordre.
Va falloir quand même que je réfléchisse sérieusement à passer au moins à la 12.04 LTS.

Bonjour à tous,

Alors voilà, je m'escrime à vouloir faire tourner flash dans Firefox (pour voir les vidéos dans fessebook, par exemple), et il ne veut pas.
Situation : je suis sur un portable Amilo M7440G. Avant j'étais sous Karmic et ça marchait. C'était lent mais ça passait. Un petit ajout de mémoire vive et j'ai fait la mise à jour vers Lucid. Là plouf, plus rien. J'ai suivi différents tutos du forum, nettoyé flash, réinstallé, mais pas mieux.
J'ai fini par faire une réinstall propre de Lucid, puis ai installé le paquet flashplugin-installer par Synaptic.
Toujours rien.
Le problème ? J'ai l'impression d'avoir toujours une "ancienne" version de flash qui prend le dessus sur la nouvelle. En effet, dans les plugins du menu Outils/modules complémentaires, il me sort un "Shockwave flash version 9.0 r48", mais il est désactivé. Pourtant, la commande "about:plugins" me liste bien le fichier libflashplayer.so version 10.1 r85 (donc la dernière), et pas de trace de la version 9 fautive.

Quelqu'un a une idée pour me tirer de ce mauvais pas ?

A première vue, pas de changement, sauf que le flash version 9 est activé par défaut dans le nouveau profil (normal, dans le mien c'est moi qui l'ai désactivé, pensant que ça suffisait pour que le 10 soit utilisé à la place).

Bonjour à tous,

Suite et fin du problème (désolé, j'ai mis du temps avant de le traiter) :
N'en déplaise aux tenants de la doc officielle, j'ai essayé tout ce qu'il y avait dedans et ça n'a pas résolu mon problème : toujours cette vieille version 9.0 de Flash qui court-circuitait les installs neuves.
J'ai fini par m'en sortir en installant le plugin FlashAid, qui a automatiquement tout nettoyé et réinstallé le Flash propre et récent qui marche.
Où était le problème ? J'ai cru voir (mais c'est passé vite) qu'il avait supprimé un Flash dans... Wine !
Petit détail aussi : au sortir de la manip, le son était par défaut muet partout, il m'a fallu aller récupérer ça dans les propriétés.

Bonjour à tous,

Firefox est un bon navigateur, mais un peu pénible sur certains détails parfois...
Exemple : je veux installer un nouveau module (foxtrick, pour ne pas le nommer - bonjour à tous les joueurs HT).
Il le télécharge et dit qu'il sera installé au prochain redémarrage.
Je redémarre et le module doit toujours être "installé au prochain redémarrage".

J'ai essayé de virer complètement le module, redémarrer FF à la main, rebooter l'ordi... rien n'y fait.
Une idée ?

Comprends pas.
Y'a un moyen de remettre à zéro (désinstaller) tous les modules d'un coup ?

Non non, c'est le classique "One or more of the mounts listed in /etc/fstab could not be mounted yet" (ou un truc du genre, je dis ça de mémoire).

Est-ce qu'il y a un moyen de savoir à quel endroit du démarrage il freeze ? (pour isoler le processus qui coince)
J'ai beau être utilisateur d'Ubuntu depuis plusieurs années, je ne suis pas encore utilisateur "averti".

Bonjour,

Désolé, ça marche pas.
J'ai du y aller avec mes gros sabots et un chmod pour pouvoir modifier le /boot/grub/grub.cfg, mais au reboot ça n'a rien changé : il s'arrête toujours sur la barre de chargement (anecdote amusante : juste après avoir joué le son de démarrage).

D'autres idées ?

Toujours pas.
J'ai fait les modifs que tu suggères (en fait, juste le second zéro, puisque le premier y était déjà), mais rien de plus au reboot, il bloque toujours au même endroit...
Je commence à désespérer un peu, moi. hmm
C'est dans ce genre de situations qu'Ubuntu est assez rageant, parce que visiblement le système est globalement correct, mais il doit manquer un tout petit truc quelque part qui fait que ça bloque tout. Grrrr.

Quand tu dis de redémarrer en recovery, je veux bien, mais j'y fais quoi ? Un update de grub (sachant que, si j'ai bien compris, je perdrai toutes les modifs faites sur grub.cfg) ?
Je suis pas sûr qu'il trouverait les sources, d'ailleurs, puisque ma connexion est en wifi (je réentre le pass WPA à chaque session live).
Ca commence à me fatiguer... d'ici à ce que je revienne à Jaunty, y'a plus très loin.

Bonjour,

jean > Oui, bien sûr, il y a des infos qui défilent... à toute vitesse ! smile De ce que je peux voir sur la fin, il charge les profils de différents logiciels, dont Firefox, sans autre problème apparent. Puis le fsck, mais là encore il ne mentionne pas d'erreur. Ensuite il me semble qu'il démarre le serveur X, écran noir bref puis écran Ubuntu avec la barre de chargement... qui s'arrête après le son de démarrage.
Je n'ai pas encore été vérifier, mais je ne crois pas que mon /home soit plein, je ne mets quasi rien dedans (pas tous mes fichiers en tout cas, puisque j'ai une partition d'échange).

Le problème vient bien de Xorg.
En démarrant normalement, une fois qu'il s'immobilise je peux effectivement passer en mode console par un Ctrl-Alt-F2. Et si je repasse aussitôt en mode graphique par Ctrl-Alt-F7, il me redemande login et passwd, et là ça marche, le boot se termine normalement et je retrouve tout mon bazar comme avant.

Maintenant la dernière question : comment résoudre ce problème ?
J'ai tenté de reparamétrer avec les commandes que tu suggères, mais apparemment ça ne change rien.
Je crois que je vais aller potasser la doc de config du serveur X... roll

J'ai tout simplement essayé de changer la fenêtre de connexion... eh bien quand il doit demander un login et passwd à chaque fois, il démarre correctement !
J'en déduis que c'est la connexion automatique qui merdoie. J'ai bon ?
Alors encore une question (toujours la même) : comment résoudre ce problème ?

Bonjour à tous,

Dernières nouvelles du front : comme je l'indiquais à la fin du précédent message, sans la connexion automatique le démarrage est quasi correct (et fonctionne depuis 3 semaines sans plantage, c'est l'essentiel).
J'ai cherché à gauche et à droite, mais pas trouvé comment configurer la connexion auto autrement qu'en mode graphique (qui ne permet pas de configurer grand-chose). Quelqu'un sait ?
Sinon, je me résigne à entrer login et pass à chaque démarrage ; ça fait un peu suer puisque je suis le seul sur mon ordi, mais c'est pas la mort... roll
