peut etre que tu es parti un peu trop vite pour ajouter une nouvelle résolution
?? as tu vérifié si elle n'existait pas déja

xrandr -q

te listera les résolutions reconnues pour ton ecran
il est possible que 1368x768_60.00 soit deja dans cette liste...

tu obtiendras une liste de ce genre

xrandr -q
Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1440 x 900, maximum 8192 x 8192
HDMI-0 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)

avec "+" pour indiquer le mode optimum et "*" pour le mode actif   (1440x900 60 Hz pour l'exemple)

si ta résolution est bien dans la liste tu pourras la forcer manuellement pour tester

#La commande ci-dessous change la fréquence à la nouvelle valeur de 1440×900 à 60 Hz :
xrandr -s 1440x900 -r 60

??? a voir aussi si tu utilises un adaptateur pour connecter l'écran sur la carte

il y a pas mal de soucis d'affichage avec la 16.04 et dans certains cas c'est probablement causé par un soucis d'adaptateur ou convertisseur de connexion video
plutot que par des problemes de drivers de carte

j'ai eu un cas pratique
sur une tour xubuntu 15.10 qui marchait tres bien j'ai fait une fresh install de Ubuntu 16.04 pour essayer les améliorations unity
pas de composant graphique sur la carte mère
carte nvidia GTX750
ecran VGA 19" avec adaptateur VGA-DVI sur la carte nvidia
drivers libres "par defaut"

avec la 15.10 xrandr me renvoyait bien toutes les possibilités de l'écran jusque 1600x1200

l'install de la 16.04 s'est bien passée
mais au reboot, PAF,  ecran noir apres le grub

- l'ecran et le cable vga marchent bien sur une autre machine
- si je mets un ecran direct DVI ca demarre tres bien en 16.04 avec la definition optimale de cet ecran
- si je remets l'adaptateur vga l'ecran reste noir (mais je n'ai pas l'erreur check cable)

- si je reboot avec l'adaptateur vga-div et que j'active la ligne de commande grub avec "c"
vbeinfo me donne bien toutes les possibilites de l'ecran de 320x240 jusque 1600x1200

mais je coince a partir de la

+ si je boot direct -> ecran noir seules les sessions terminales ctrl+alt+F1 , F2... marchent
en passant sur la console du terminal j'ai essayé :
-en consultant /var/log/Xorg.0.log j'ai toute une liste de Modeline qui correspondent aux caracs de l'ecran
-cvt 1280 1024 me donne un Modeline correct
-j'ai une bonne definition d'ecran largement superieure a 640x480  (80 lignes d'affichage)
on dirait donc que l'info se perd avec le lancement du serveur graphique de xorg

+ si je force manuellement nomodeset je stagne en 640x480 et xrandr ne voit absoluement que ca pour "ecran 0 generique"

+ si je boot via recuperation (qui a le nomodeset inclu) la j'obtiens du 1024x768 et xrandr me propose 3 modes 640/800/1024
?? je ne vois pas du tout d'ou vient la difference entre le cas 2 et 3 car on a nomodeset dans les 2 cas...

la carte video est bien reconnue dans lspci et ca marche si je mets un ecran directement DVI
c'est vraiment un soucis d'auto detection materielle de l'ecran dans le cas d'un adaptateur

je vais essayé si ca peut se forcer en créant un fichier 50-monitor.conf sous usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d

mais c'est ce changement de détection entre 15.10 et 16.04 qui est surprenant

apres divers tests de parametres et de multiples reboot c'est vraiment bizarre

le lancement de xorg plante pour "presque rien"

il faut bien créer un fichier 50-monitor.conf pour eviter le recours au nomodeset qui empeche d'avoir les bonnes résolutions
mais il est quasi vide
aucun besoin de forcer la création de nouveaux modes ou de définir des fréquences spécifiques avec cvt/gtf

#fichier conf dans /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d 
Section "Monitor"
Identifier "Monitor0"
   Option          "PreferredMode" "1280x1024"

Section "Screen"

le seul truc indispensable (pour mon ecran) est    Option          "PreferredMode" "1280x1024" 

tout le reste est bien reconnu !!!

salut

quand je fais des initiations Xubuntu
la remarque que j'ai le plus souvent c'est que les bords des fenetres (pour agrandir, reduire...) sont tres difficiles a selectionner car trop fin
(voir chiants...)

il faut des doigts de fee pour choper le "cheveux" qui sert de bordure et cliquer dessus

?? y aurait il un parametre pour epaissir ce bord de fenetre et le rendre plus facile a selectionner

une de mes machines vient de passer en 4.2.0.25 via les maj automatique
mais l'autre ne me fait QUE des mises a jour applicatives sans toucher au noyau qui reste bloqué

ca va beaucoup mieux deja

Les NOUVEAUX paquets suivants seront installés :

0 mis à jour, 14 nouvellement installés, 0 à enlever et 5 non mis à jour.
Il est nécessaire de prendre 67,5 Mo dans les archives.
Après cette opération, 291 Mo d'espace disque supplémentaires seront utilisés.

a priori ca ne concernait que le noyau

?? pour la cause ?? erreur de syntaxe de ma part dans un ancien nettoyage ou autre
normalement j'utilise juste kclean ou autoremove

a force de dépanner les machines des voisins ou des copains et de garder du matos "pour pièces"
ou de sauver de la décharge des machines encore en bon état "y a trop de virus j'en achete un autre"

je me retrouve encombré de qq UC anciennes mais pas obsolètes
à base de pentium 4 ou amd athlon 64 ...
toutes fonctionnelles (avec RAM, HD, CG) formatées sous xubuntu

si jamais vous connaissez des structures dans le sudEst que ca pourrait intéresser

c'est pour offrir une nouvelle vie à ces machines qui ont échappé à XP ou Vista...

en dessous de 500 c'est du "sacerdoce" sans parler des soucis de SSE ou PAE... selon les applis

au dessus de 500 c'est utilisable pour de la bureautique simple

a partir de 1000 c'est largement suffisant pour tous les jours (hors jeux...)
et ca correspond a des machines qui ont entre 5 et 10 ans.... qui sont jetées ou non réparées en cas de defauts divers

Je suis bien d'accord avec toi que jeter ne doit venir qu'en dernier recours, lorsque le matériel n'est pas récupérable.

c'etait bien mon but initial mais les emmaus de mon coin n'en veulent pas
d'ou mon appel a d'autres idees...

la raison invoquée est "on ne vend pas d'informatique car sinon on serait obligé de faire le support"....

salut

juste pour info pour une machine avec une nvidia gtx 750 ti (plus recente que le presario 2800..)
sur laquelle je devais faire une fresh install (xubuntu 15.10 x64)

l'installation est vraiment difficile avec des caracteres clignotants en gris noir que l'on devine plus ou moins
comme je connaissais les menus j'arrivais a suivre sans devoir jouer avec les options de demarrage mais bof bof
meme apres l'installation avec le pilote libre et xorg ca restait tres pleureur/clignotant

par contre avec le pilote proprio nvidia-update ca marche tres bien..

pour info
pour "jouer" j'ai reteste sur la meme machine une installation en 15.04 et la tout l'affichage est nickel avec le driver libre xorg

c'est quand meme surprenant qu'une carte graphique qui etait bien gérée en 15.04 ne le soit plus en 15.10

j'ai déterré un vieux portable compaq presario 2800 (datant de 2003-2004...)
la connection réseau marchait bien sous windows XP

pour le rajeunir je suis reparti sous lubuntu en fresh install 15.10 tant qu'a faire

mais impossible d'activer le réseau
(ca ne vient ni du cable ni du switch... et a priori pas de la machine vu que ca marchait en windows)
j'ai aussi essayé avec une xubuntu 14.04 mais meme blocage

en mode graphique je n'ai carrement pas d'interface reseau disponible
et si je la cree il me la supprime au reboot...

apparemment un admin a deplacé le post depuis la partie réseau

je maintiens que c'est bien un soucis reseau et non 15.10 vu que j'ai le meme soucis en 14.04...
mais vu qu'il n'y a pas de LTS lubuntu, quitte a essayer lubuntu j'avais pris la derniere/future...

grace a vos conseils et un peu d'huile de coude duckduckgo j'ai maté l'ancetre

il y a bien un module e100 qui correspond aux pilotes de pas mal de chipset intel mais qui n'est pas chargé automatiquement
(apparemment un conflit d'eprom qui gene la detection cf les erreurs dans dmesg avec le lancement du e100)
certains preconisent aussi d'installer les firmware-non-free pour debloquer (cf le tuto de nam1962) mais je n'ai pas creusé cette piste

modinfo e100

m'a permis de vérifier qu'il faisait toujours parti de mon kernel actil
on pouvait ensuite forcer l'activation avec

 sudo modprobe e100 

mais ca ne marchait toujours pas...
il a donc fallu le decharger pour les prochains test avec

 sudo modprobe -r e100

apres divers recherches sur askubuntu j'ai decouvert les options qui manquaient

sudo modprobe e100 eeprom_bad_csum_allow=1

j'ai pu tester que tout marchait bien...(ping de ma box puis firefox puis update...)

il ne restait plus qu'a l'activer au demarrage... avec

 sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d/e100.conf 

on met dedans > options e100 eeprom_bad_csum_allow=1
on peut bien sur utiliser gedit a la place de nano ...
il ne reste plus qu'a l'activer avec

 sudo update-initramfs -u

oui mais non

j'ai effectivement joué en lubuntu 15.10 (quitte a ne pas avoir de LTS Lubuntu et a devoir formater le bazar pour virer windows XP)

mais mon soucis avec le module e100 qui pilote la carte réseau intel est un probleme GENERIQUE
j'avais le meme blocage d'absence de liaison ethernet avec Xubuntu en 12.04 et 14.04

dans le cadre de la modernisation d'une PME/bureau d'étude (windows XP ...) qui essaie de se tourner vers le libre
on coince pour trouver une équivalence à un logiciel devenu obsolete, abandonné par l'éditeur

cette appli, quotidiennement utilisée, permet d'agréger de multiples documents d'origines diverses (pdf, images, tableur, traitement de texte)
dans un seul document final "rapport" avec une mise en page relativement homogene
(table des matieres, Numerotation des pages, mini corrections des documents inclus)

Scribus a quelques elements correspondant mais trop de "finasserie" pour la micro mise en page qui au final le rendent assez lourd pour ce type d'usage

Latex pourrait etre pas mal pour inclure les parties textuelles des rapports mais coince pour l'importation des tableaux ou des images externes

?? avez vous des idées d'autres produits (pas forcèment gratuit) qui pourraient permettre de solutionner ce besoin d'agrégation

on va rester en mode "facile"
l'agregation n'a pas forcèment besoin d'être dynamique
il s'agit surtout de produire un rapport final en pdf, pas un projet en constante evolution

si les documents initiaux bougent beaucoup on refera l'agregation si besoin
pas besoin que cela se fasse des l'ouverture du document final

gsacn2pdf ne semble savoir utiliser que les images binaires
si on importe un pdf "texte" (comme ceux générés par libre office ou par une imprimante pdf)
gscan2pdf ne voie que les logos et pas les documents complets

j'ai testé la version 1.25 (dépots) mais ca ne semble pas pouvoir convenir du tout
a moins que je n'ai raté un truc, pour utiliser nos fichiers générés en interne
il faudrait les imprimer pour les rescanner
