Plantage : démarrage Edubuntu v12.04 uniquement sur mode console.

Bonjour à tous,

Edubuntu ne démarre que sur mode console depuis une MàJ effectué il y a quelques jours.
Après la présentation classique du BIOS, le logo "Edubuntu" sur fond blanc apparait très briévement et je me retrouve avec un écran à fond noir
avec l'intitulé suivant :
"Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS PC tty1",
suivi de "PC Login :" & "Password :",
après mon identification se lit "Welcome to Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS (GNU/Linux 3.2.0-29 -generic i606)"

Dans ce mode console, j'ai pu utiliser sudo update, sudo upgrade, sudo reboot. Sudo halt n'arrête pas l'ordi (malgrè l'annonce "L’ordinateur va s'arrêter maintenant !"), la procédure stoppant au bout de quelques lignes et figeant l'écran.
Mais comment faire pour en sortir et avoir mon démarrage graphique ??

J'ai utilisé le GRUB en forçant son affichage avec la touche "Shift" mais aucune des propositions présentées n'ont pu faire redémarrer normalement.
