en fait, ce sont aussi les fréquences données par le constructeur. Ca ne marche toujours pas; j'ai ajouté les HorizSync et VertRefresh que j'avais enlevés, ça ne joue toujours pas.

Je me suis rappelé de ceci, il faut peut-être utiliser 

Driver        "intel"

à la place de 

Driver        "i810"

après avoir 

 sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-video-intel

En effet, comme on peut le lire sur ce lien dans le forum, lorsque l'on utilise i915resolution avec un écran à grande résolution, il faut remplacer "i810" par "intel" et relancer X.

Pour plus d'info, j'ai retrouvé le topic auquel j'avais participé ici, et la partie intéressante par Varimathras (Le 15/03/2007, à 23:16) concernant la façon de faire.

Il y a peut-être d'autres idées intéressantes dans le corps du message ! hmm

[edit] Si tu sais lire l'anglais, une autre info venant d' "Ubuntuforums" à propos de Can't get xorg to 1680x1050 resolution on Dell E207WFP with i810 (845G), donc le même cas que toi.

Par contre, il te faudra nettoyer le xorg.conf après toutes tes modifications, ce qui évitera des questions inutiles lors d'un éventuel retour sur le sujet. tongue

J'ai fait ce que tu me proposes. Après redémarrage du système, on me dit que le serveur X n'est pas configuré correctement (écran bleu et gris). J'ai relancé la configuration de xserver-xorg mais ça n'a pas fonctionné. Voici mon Xorg.0.log :

Salut,

As-tu bien lu et appliqué ceci http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=103258 comme indiqué dans mon précédent message ? Surtout le dernier message du 30/03/2007 sur lequel je n'ai pas eu de retour !! hmm

Sinon, édites ton xorg.conf en console (ctrl + alt +f1) après t'être loggué, par 

sudo vim /etc/X11/xorg.conf

puis tu remplace "intel" par "vesa" et tu relance le serveur X en console ctrl+alt+F7. Si tu reçois un message d'erreur t'indiquant que X est déjà lancé, redémarres ton PC.

Pour la documentation sur VIM, passes en console F2 et, utilises 

man vim

IMPORTANT : Afin de faire les choses dans l'ordre, et ne pas mélanger plusieurs éventuels problèmes, passes en 1280x1024 ou 1024x768 temporairement. wink

Quand tu as réussi à démarrer, postes ton xorg.conf tel qu'il est maintenant.

Malheureusement, je n'ai toujours pas la bonne résolution. Dans Système->Préférences->Résolution d'écran, j'obtiens maintenant une fréquence de 76 Hz au lieu de 75. C'est un peu bizarre non ?

ah oui : en plus de ça, l'écran sacade énormément. Avec intel au lieu de i810, le serveur X ne part pas.

en tant que root bien sur.

Jai un Dell E228WFP et aucun prob avec le mode 1680x1050@60Hz, parcontre je nai pas de carte Intel, mais bien NVidia
