Bonsoir,
Après quelques réglages et problèmes résolus, je cherche à finaliser mon installation :
Sur le disque dur 1 : Windows XP Pro
Sur le dd 2 : Ubuntu

Voici ce qu'affiche les commandes :

Disque /dev/sda: 160.0 Go, 160041885696 octets
255 têtes, 63 secteurs/piste, 19457 cylindres
Unités = cylindres de 16065 * 512 = 8225280 octets

règle ton bios pour booter en premier sur le disque avec ubuntu

dans ce cas, depuis le live cd

tu relance une console grub

puis

root (hd1,0)
setup (hd0)
quit

C'était une fausse joie, je n'avais pas redémarré sur WXP pour essayer

Quand je redémarre et que je choisis WXP, j'ai ce message :

Error 22 : no such partition
Press any key to continue

Ce serait plutôt :
cat /boot/grub/menu.lst ou
gedit /boot/grub/menu.lst
et si ça marche pas fais précéder les commandes de sudo

Petit rappel : l'installation de Ubuntu s'est faite sur le DD2 mais avec l'ancien DD1 pour WXP qui a été réinstallé depuis sur un DD1 neuf

J'avais le même soucis.
Un disque SATA sur lequel est installé XP et Linux.
Un disque IDE.

Grub me mettait le root sur hd1.

J'ai donc mis le même disque que pour XP à la main à l'aide de l'éditeur.
Un reboot et voilà.
Je mettrais donc root (hd0,0)

Le fichier est en lecture seule, je ne peux pas le modifier

"Le fichier "/boot/grub/menu.lst" est en lecture seule
