Carte Wi-fi bloquée par un commutateur matériel
Bonjour à tous!
J'ai un HP pavillon g7 et je n'arrive pas à me connecter en wi-fi car il est "bloqué par un commutateur matériel". Ce commutateur est la touche F12 qui reste orange. Je post les infos qui peuvent être utiles:

Hard blocked: yesJ'ai déjà essayé d'activer le wi-fi au démarrage dans le BIOS mais rien ne change.
Je suis en dual avec windows 7 mais aucun problème de wi-fi. En laissant bien activer le wi-fi sur windows avant de retourner sur Ubuntu rien ne change non plus.
Je suis plutôt débutant sur Linux mais je ferais de mon mieux pour suivre vos conseilles et régler ce problème.

les boutons F quelque chose sont actuellement des touches bi-fonctions :
- fonction du systeme lui-meme (F2 == renommer)
- fonction agissant sur le materiel (chez moi le wifi est active par la touche F3)
pour obtenir la seconde fonction, on utilise une combinaison de touches :
- Fn + Fx (x etant un chiffre de 1 a 12)
- certains bios permettent d'inverser la priorite : fonction systeme ou materielle ?

Merci de ta réponse!
J'ai déjà inverser dans le bios la priorité pour essayer et rien n'y fait, dans les deux cas si j'appuie sur F12 (touche gérant le wifi pour moi) ou sur Fn+F12 le voyant reste orange et j'ai toujours le message indiquant que le wi-fi est "bloqué par un commutateur matériel"

le probleme est recurrent quant a ce materiel wifi : RT5390
le pilote rt2800 ne convient pas, une maj est disponible : pilote rt2860 a compiler

J'ai donc essayé de faire ce que tu m'as recommandé, en suivant les étapes suivantes:
1. download driver http://www.mediatek.com/_en/07_downl...il.php?sn=5001
2 tar -xvf /home/ukbeast/USERNAME/Downloads/2011_1007_RT5390_RT5392_Linux_STA_V2.5.0.3_DPO_v2.bz2.bz2
3 cd 2011_1007_RT5390_RT5392_Linux_STA_V2.5.0.3_DPO
4 download patch http://gridlox.net/diff/rt5592sta_fix_64bit_3.8.patch
5 patch -p1 <rt5592sta_fix_64bit_3.8.patch (if asks for directory point it to pci_main_dev.c)
Jusqu'ici tout est ok, je voudrais juste savoir si il est nécessaire d'effectuer ces opération dans un répertoire précis?
6 make sure /os/linux/config.mk reads HAS_NATIVE_WPA_SUPPLICANT_SUPPORT=y
réponse à cette commande: make: *** Pas de règle pour fabriquer la cible « sure ». Arrêt.
J'ai continué malgré tout..
7 make
8 sudo make install
9 modprobe rt5390sta
Ces dernières opérations se passe sans problème, mais le driver rt2800 est toujours celui utilisé.
Où se situe le problème?

ahlalala je t'ai dit que le ppa ne fournissait pas le binaire pour precise ! et que la version compilee par toi etait la meme ... je pensais que tu allais reflechir au lieu d'appliquer betement ? il te fallait simplement desactiver les "vieux" pilotes ...

C'est vrai que je n'ai pas réfléchie... J'aurais pu comprendre mais ça fait plusieurs jour que je réfléchie et là j'ai voulu faire ce que je lisais étape après étape.
Alors j'ai modifié le fichier de blacklist comme cela:

blacklist rt3090sta
Après reboot cela ne marche pas, je n'ai même plus de "case" Wi-fi dans la configuration réseau.
En réflichissant (et oui j'essaie ^^) j'ai changer le fichier de blacklist en enlevant la ligne blacklist rt2860sta puisque le pilote que j'essaie d'installer me semble être celui-ci.
Toujours le même problème mais il y a un changement lors de la commande sudo lshw -C network

Le problème est que je n'ai pas mes cd live, je les récupère dimanche, et que ma connexion avec mon téléphone me permet de télécharge à 10kb/s 
donc j'attend dimanche pour essayer ça mais si j'arrive à résoudre le problème autrement tant mieux.
Ah oui parce que mon windows à planté aussi...

Problème à moitié résolu!
Petit récap pour ceux qui auront le même soucis avec leur carte ralink rt5390:
1. download driver http://www.mediatek.com/_en/07_downl...il.php?sn=5001
2. tar -xvf /home/ukbeast/USERNAME/Downloads/2011_1007_RT5390_RT5392_Linux_STA_V2.5.0.3_DPO_v2.bz2.bz2
3. cd 2011_1007_RT5390_RT5392_Linux_STA_V2.5.0.3_DPO
4. download patch http://gridlox.net/diff/rt5592sta_fix_64bit_3.8.patch
5. patch -p1 <rt5592sta_fix_64bit_3.8.patch (if asks for directory point it to pci_main_dev.c)
6. make sure /os/linux/config.mk reads HAS_NATIVE_WPA_SUPPLICANT_SUPPORT=y (si message d'erreur aller modifier le fichier config.mk et remplacer le "n" par "y" à la ligne HAS_NATIVE_WPA_SUPPLICANT_SUPPORT)
7. make
8. sudo make install
9. modprobe rt5390sta
10. sudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf
At the end of the file, add these lines:
# Blacklist conflicting kernel modules
blacklist rt2800pci
blacklist rt2800lib
blacklist rt2x00usb
blacklist rt2x00pci
blacklist rt2x00lib
blacklist rt3090sta
Maintenant la carte est reconnue comme il faut mais ne voit pas les réseaux Wi-fi dispo, je vais jeter un œil dans les autres sujet pour trouver une solution.

Donc pour récapituler, le problème à la base était que la carte wi-fi était bloqué par un commutateur matériel, ce problème est résolue en installant le driver rt2860 comme décris juste avant. Le nouveau problème est qu'aucun réseau wi-fi n'est détecté. Voila ce qui certaine commande ma donne :
rfkill list ne renvoie rien du tout! Assez étrange pour moi.

Et merde, j'ai confondu les cartes réseau.
Nous avons la même en filaire mais pas la même en Wi-Fi.
De ce fait, je ne sais pas si tu auras un meilleur support sous Ubuntu 12.04.3 64 bits.

J'ai remarqué que depuis que j'ai effectué cette manipulation, le driver de ma carte a changer, passer de rt2860 à RALINK WLAN

oui, la compilation prend des options par defaut et les active pour le pilote genere ...
en fait il y avait tout un tas d'explications dans le readme (qqchose) des sources ... tu peux tester la connexion en desactivant ton pass de wifi ... dans le premier pilote rt2860sta, le nom de reseau etait "blanc" ...
peux-tu "voir" le wifi dans le module network-manager applet (coin sup droit)
