[En cours] Mon installation d'Ubuntu en dualboot sur un Lenovo Yoga 13
Je compte installer Ubuntu 14.04 LTS en dualboot sur mon nouveau Lenovo Yoga 13.
Et indiquer ici, pas à pas, comment j'ai procédé, et, éventuellement, demander de l'aide.
Ce premier message sera mis à jour au fur et à mesure.
Pour information, et parce que ce sera important pour la suite :
Il s'agit d'un 13 pouces tactile dont l'écran est pivotable à 360° et qui comporte donc 4 modes :
Standard (100°) : comme tout ordinateur portable
Exposition (280°) : l'ordinateur repose sur la table sur son clavier qui sert de maintien de l'écran
Tente (330°) : comme son nom l'indique
Tablette (360°) : le clavier est entièrement rabattu derrière l'écran
L'ordinateur n'a pas de port RJ45.

Étape 1 : Tester Ubuntu depuis une clé USB
À cette étape rien n'est installé. Il s'agit juste de voir si la version en développement d'Ubuntu 14.04, dite Trusty Tahr, règle les quelques incompatibilités du Lenovo Yoga 13 repérées par Esion et répertoriées ici.
Nous sommes le 27 février, Ubuntu 14.04 LTS n'est pas encore sortie.
J'ai téléchargé la daily build du 26 février, ai utilisé Unetbootin sur un autre ordinateur sous Ubuntu (jamais réussi à faire une clé fonctionnelle avec le créateur de clé par défaut) pour créer une clé USB bootable et l'ai connectée à l'ordinateur éteint.
Après avoir accédé au bios (petit bouton près du bouton "mise sous tension"), j'ai désactivé le Secure Boot (onglet Security), le Fast Boot et indiqué de démarrer sur ma clé en premier (onglet Boot), sortie en sauvegardant les changements (onglet Exit).
Ensuite j'ai "Testé Ubuntu sans installer".
Le démarrage s'est passé sans problème.
Ce qui ne fonctionne pas :
- Wifi (et il n'y a pas de RJ45)
- Bluetooth
- Le clavier et le pad ne se coupent pas toujours (pas souvent en fait) quand on passe en modes tente, exposition ou tablette ce qui rend nuit à l'usage de ces modes, surtout le mode tablette quand on l'a surtout ces genoux ou qu'on la manipule, les autres modes étant plus statiques. Et même lorsqu'il se coupe, il se remet en route parfois.
- L'écran tactile fonctionne mais l'orientation de la machine n'est pas reconnue. Aussi, en mode tente, l'écran est tête en bas... L'inversion de l'affichage à 180° dans les réglages de l'affichage permet de réparer l'orientation sauf que... le tactile de l'écran n'est pas inversé lui. Vous pensez cliquer en haut de l'écran et vous cliquer en bas. Inutilisable dans ce mode donc.
- Le touchpad fonctionne dans tous les modes.
- L'hibernation (mais peut-être que c'est dû au fait que le système fonctionne sur clé)
- Le clavier comporte aussi des raccourcis qui ne fonctionnent pas tous : luminosité (le logo de réglage de luminosité apparaît à l'écran mais les boutons n'ont aucun effet - cela se règle en dur en suivant la procédure décrite dans le wiki, mode avion.
Ce qui fonctionne :
- L'écran est bien tactile.
- Le clavier.
- Le clavier comporte aussi des raccourcis qui fonctionnent : fermeture de l'application qui a le focus, son, rechargement de la page, extinction de l'écran.
- Le touchpad
- Le son
- La caméra
- Les boutons de réglage du volume situés sur la tranche
- La mise en veille (une notification mentionnant le touchpad est visible en sortie de veille, je ne sais pas pourquoi).
- Le lecteur de carte SD
- La prise combo micro-casque (testé avec un casque, pas avec un micro)
Bilan de cette première étape : les problèmes de pilotes de la carte Realtek qui gère le wifi et le bluetooth ne sont pas encore réglés à ce jour pour Ubuntu 14.04 (il existe des solutions post-installation, comme indiqué dans le wiki d'Ubuntu.fr). Ubuntu fonctionne par ailleurs en mode tactile mais sera à utiliser essentiellement en mode standard à cause du clavier qui ne se coupe pas toujours.
Étape 2 : Cloner son disque dur avant toute modification à l'aide de Clonezilla
Toutes les fonctionnalités du Yoga 13 ne sont pas gérées par Ubuntu mais je destine essentiellement cette machine à préparer mes documents LaTeX, écouter de la musique et surfer. Le mode standard sera nécessaire pour le travail sur mes documents et suffira pour le reste, quitte à passer sous Windows si jamais le besoin d'un autre mode se fait sentir.
Comme le dualboot est délicat avec les nouvelles machines, suivants les conseils de malbo, je vais cloner son disque dur.
Matériel nécessaire : une clé USB, un disque dur externe avec un peu de place
Logiciels utilisés : Linux Live USB Creator (sous windows), WinMD5, une iso de Clonezilla
2a) Créer sa clé
- Se rendre sur la page de téléchargement de Clonezilla et télécharger la "stable-releases" (la version testing n'a pas fonctionné chez moi) correspondant à l'architecture amd64 (iso)
- Télécharger WinMD5, le lancer et vérifier que la signature de l'iso précédemment téléchargé est celle indiquée (l'originale est disponible depuis la page de téléchargement de Clonezilla
- Télécharger Linux Live USB Creator, l'installer, le lancer pour créer une clé USB live à l'aide de l'iso. Malbo donne des précisions ici.
- Désactiver le démarrage rapide sous Windows en suivant ce tutoriel.
2b) Cloner son disque dur
Pour cela la procédure décrite dans le wiki est parfaitement opérationnelle pour le Yoga 13. Il suffit donc de la suivre.
Cela prend du temps, aussi veillez à laisser brancher votre machine (au cas où).
Bilan de cette étape : j'ai pas mal galéré avant de trouver une iso de Clonezilla qui permettait de booter sur clé (la version debian stable), mais sinon RAS.
Étape 3 : Partitionnement du disque
3a) Identifier les partitions existantes
Afin de prendre conseil, j'ai décidé de faire un "boot-info" qui permet de lister l'état des partitions et du système. Pour cela il faut démarrer depuis une clé usb live (ou un CD mais pas sur cet ordinateur) comportant cette application par défaut (car la carte wifi n'est pas reconnue et il n'y a pas de port RJ45).
Matériel nécessaire : Une clé USB, un autre support de stockage (USB ou disque dur externe)
Logiciels utilisés : Linux Live USB Creator (sous windows), WinMD5, une iso de Clonezilla
3ai) Créer sa clé
- Se rendre sur la page du wiki d'Ubuntu-fr et télécharger l'iso de Linux Secure Remix.
- Télécharger WinMD5, le lancer et vérifier que la signature de l'iso précédemment téléchargé est celle indiquée (l'originale est disponible sur la page Sourceforge du fichier quand on clique sur le "i" à droite de l'iso)
- Télécharger Linux Live USB Creator, l'installer, le lancer pour créer une clé USB live à l'aide de l'iso.
- Désactiver le démarrage rapide sous Windows en suivant ce tutoriel.
3aii) Obtenir le boot-info
Démarrer sur la clé (boot-secure disabled et boot sur la clé USB dans le bios).
Suivre la procédure indiquée dans le wiki, qui consiste à lancer l'application boot-repair et de choisir d'obtenir le boot-info plutôt que de réparer le boot.
Comme vous n'aurez pas d'accès un internet, un fichier texte sera créé. Vous devez le stocker sur un autre support que sur votre clé (à moins que vous sachiez comment accéder aux documents enregistrés dans le "home" de la clé, ce qui n'est pas mon cas). C'est pour cela qu'un autre support de stockage est nécessaire.
Enregistrer sur ce support de stockage.
Afficher le sur le forum pour prendre conseil.

3b) Planifier sa partition
Après les discussions ci-dessous, j'ai décidé de ne pas toucher aux diverses partitions obscures de Windows, mais de supprimer la partition Lenovo (sda7, 4Go), de réduire la partition Windows (sd5, 237 Go) à 60 Go, "déplacer" la partition non identifié (sda6) de façon à ce que tout l'espace libéré soit en commun. Dans cet espace seront créées une partition racine pour Ubuntu de 24 Go formatée en Ext4 (pas de swap ni de partition /home) et une partition d'échange de 150 Go formatée en NTFS accessible depuis Windows comme depuis Ubuntu.
L'ensemble aura donc cette allure :
sda 1 à 4 : inchangées
sda 5 : windows - 60 Go
sda 9 : racine ubuntu - 24 Go - ext4
sda 6 : data - 150 Go - ntfs
sda 7 : l'ancienne sda5 de 375 Mb
sda 8 : recovery de windows - 12 Gb inchangée
3c) Exécuter son plan de partition
Logiciels utiles : cCleaner, EaseUS
Avant de réduire la partition système de Windows (C:), mieux vaut nettoyer un peu son disque dur. cCleaner le fait très bien. Ne pas hésiter à supprimer les programmes inutiles avant.
Il est conseillé de gérer la réduction de la partition système (C:) de Windows depuis Windows, avec des programmes faits pour gérer les problèmes que cela peut engendrer.
Par défaut, Windows fournit un gestionnaire de partition efficace (coin en bas à gauche pour faire apparaître le logo Windows, clic droit, gestionnaire de disque) mais il peut arriver qu'il refuse de réduire la partition en-deça d'une certaine taille. En effet, certains fichiers système sont considérés comme tabou : l'espace d'échange (l'équivalent du swap de linux), le fichier d'hibernation, etc. Même si l'on désactive les deux (fichier d'échange, hibernation), ce que j'ai fait, même si on défragmente avec consolidation de l'espace libre (déconseillé avec un SSD), ce que j'ai fait, l'impossibilité peut demeurer. Une application externe peut quand même faire le boulot (c'est plus risqué). J'ai essayé EaseUS, conseillée sur quelques forums (attention lors de l'installation, elle veut aussi installer plein d'autres trucs, changer le moteur de recherche, etc, aussi ne cliquez pas sur "ok" sans lire) et ça a fonctionné. La réduction se programme depuis le logiciel, facile d'usage, et nécessite un redémarrage (elle se fait en redémarrant) puis un autre pour recharger Windows. Toujours avec EaseUS, suppression de la partition Lenovo, déplacement de la partition inconnue de 375 Mb, création de la partition de 150 Go. Ces modifications ne nécessitent pas de redémarrage. Et c'est fait.
La partition racine d'Ubuntu se fera pendant l'installation d'Ubuntu.
Bilan de cette étape : L'élaboration du plan de partionnement a pris du temps, comme en témoignent les échanges de ce fil (voir ci-dessous). La modification de la partition système donne toujours de l'appréhension, surtout avec un logiciel inconnu, mais finalement tout s'est bien passé.
Étape 4 : Installer Ubuntu
4a) Créer sa clé
- Pour sa compatibilité avec le bios UEFI, il faut choisir une version internationale d'Ubuntu, comme expliqué dans le wiki. J'ai choisi la version de test Ubuntu GNOME 14.04 beta1 pour l'architecture amd64.
- Télécharger WinMD5, le lancer et vérifier que la signature de l'iso précédemment téléchargé est celle indiquée (l'originale est disponible dans le fichier MD5SUMS.txt de la page de téléchargement de l'iso.
- Télécharger Linux Live USB Creator, l'installer, le lancer pour créer une clé USB live à l'aide de l'iso. Malbo donne des précisions ici.
- Désactiver le démarrage rapide sous Windows en suivant ce tutoriel.
4b) Démarrer sur la clé puis installer
- Il faut de nouveau se rendre dans le bios pour désactiver le démarrage rapide, le secure boot et indiquer de démarrer sur la clé USB (qui doit être branchée pour être disponible dans les choix
- J'ai choisi de tester sans installer juste pour voir si cela fonctionnait puis, comme c'était le cas, je suis passé à l'installation.
- Au moment de choisir où installer Ubuntu, choisir "Autre chose", puis sélectionner l'espace précédemment libéré et y créer une (ou plusieurs selon vos choix) partition primaire qui sera montée comme étant la racine du système. Comme indiqué précédemment, je ne créerai pas de partition pour le /home ni d'espace d'échange (swap) malgré les cris de l'installateur au moment de valider les partitions. Ne pas indiquer à l'installateur d'utiliser la partition EFI (windows) pour l'EFI : il le fera tout seul.
- Une fois l'installation terminée quitter sans redémarrer. Choisir éteindre. Enlever la clé. Puis redémarrer.
- Si tout s'est bien passé, comme ça a étté le cas pour moi, le "grub" apparaît et vous demande quel système choisir. Ce sera Ubuntu pour cette fois.
Bilan de cette étape : L'installation d'Ubuntu, quand tout est prêt, est très simple et très rapide, encore une fois.
Étape 5 : Réglages d'Ubuntu
5a) Faire fonctionner le wifi
Par défaut le pilote de la carte Realtek n'est pas intégré dans le noyau actuel, aussi il faut l'installer à la main. La procédure indiquée dans le wiki fonctionne parfaitement. On se connecte depuis la session windows, on télécharge l'archive, on la décompresse et on la compile. Tout est expliqué ici.
On redémarre et le tour est joué.
On en profite pour mettre à jour le système ce qui installe, dans mon cas, une mise à jour du noyau et donc la nécessité de recompiler le pilote 
Nota bene : le wifi met parfois du temps à accrocher le réseau ; il faut juste être patient ; une fois accroché il tient parfaitement.
5b) Faire fonctionner le bluetooth
Ce fut difficile, mais ça fonctionne enfin avec le dernier ajout d'esion dans le wiki. On télécharge le pilote, comme indiqué, on le décompresse et on donne au répertoire un nom et un emplacement accessible (car il faudra le faire après chaque nouveau noyau, comme pour le wifi). Dans le répertoire : make puis sudo make install.
On redémarre et ça marche !
5c) Faire fonctioner les touches du clavier réglant la luminosité de l'écran
Les boutons en question font apparaître à l'écran le pop-up indiquant que la luminosité augmente ou baisse, mais, en fait, ils n'ont pas d'effet sur la luminosité.
Heureusement la procédure indiquée dans le wiki fonctionne parfaitement pour corriger ce défaut.
5d) Monter la partition d'échange, la partition windows et la carte SD au démarrage du système
5di) Les partitions internes
Le paramétrage des droits en écriture et lecture lorsqu'on désire monter une partition est toujours un peu pénible et nécessite parfois, pour des gens comme moi qui n'ont qu'une connaissance très superficielle de ces choses là, pas mal d'allers et retours entre l'usager qui tente de monter sa partition et les gens sur les forums qui veulent bien lui donner un coup de main, aussi, sur les conseils de malbo (toujours lui), j'ai utilisé, juste pour les droits, l'application ntfs-config comme indiqué dans le wiki. Attention, il ya un léger bug, comme décrit dans le wiki : la première fenêtre montre bien la liste de toutes les partitions disponibles, et il faut cocher celles qui vous intéressent (chez moi la partition Windows et la partition d'échange), mais la fenêtre suivante qui permet de paramétrer les droits ne prend pas forcément le focus, aussi il faut aller la chercher parmi les fenêtres ouvertes. J'ai activé tous les droits en écriture et validé.
Ensuite, pour que ces partitions soient bien montées comme je l'entendais, j'ai procédé ainsi :
J'ai créé dans /media (car je veux que ces partitions apparaissent comme si c'était des disques auxiliaires) les répertoires servant de point de montage Windows8_OS et Data par un (dans un terminal) :
sudo mkdir /media/Windows8_OS
sudo mkdir /media/DataJ'ai ensuite édité le fichier des partitions montées au démarrage (attention une mauvaise manoeuvre ici peut planter votre système) par un (dans un terminal)
sudo gedit /etc/fstabJ'ai identifié les lignes ajoutées par ntfs-config pour mes deux partitions et remplacé les points de montage choisis par cette application par /media/Windows8_0S et par /media/Data.
Enregistrement sans quitter.
Pour voir si tout fonctionne, un petit (dans un terminal) :
sudo mount -aEt j'ai vu que cela marchait.
Tout fermer. Redémarrer.
5dii) La carte SD
J'ai essayé plusieurs trucs sans succès et j'ai finalement tout fait à la main en m'inspirant des paramètres précédents :
Créer le point de montage dans /media :
sudo mkdir /media/CarteSDPour identifier le point de montage par défaut de la carte SD :
. la carte non insérée, ouvrir le fichier /etc/mtab par un (dans un terminal) :
gedit /etc/mtab. Insérer la carte, rafraîchir l'affichage et noter la nouvelle entrée (chez moi /dev/sdb1)
Modifier le fichier des partitions montées au démarrage (attention une mauvaise manoeuvre ici peut planter votre système) par un (dans un terminal) :
sudo gedit /etc/fstabAjouter la ligne suivante en fin de fichier :
/dev/sdb1 /media/CarteSD ntfs-3g defaults,locale=fr_FR.UTF-8 0 0où les paramètres "defaults,locale=fr_FR.UTF-8 0 0" sont un copié/collé des paramètres qui fonctionnent pour les partitions décrites au paragraphe précédent.
Enregistrer.
Redémarrer.
Nota bene : cette manipulation n'a d'intérêt que si vous avez, comme moi, une carte SD qui reste à demeure dans votre ordinateur. Le montage de cette partition est un peu lent au démarrage et Ubuntu indique un message d'avertissement du type "la partition n'est pas encore montée, attendez, ou bien passer cette étape (S), ou bien monter manuellement (M)" ; il suffit d'attendre un peu et la partition se monte (si vos paramètres sont corrects).
5e) Paramètres pour le disque SSD
Dans le wiki sont proposés de nombreux réglages possibles pour augmenter la durée de vie du disque SSD. Comme j'ai pas mal de mémoire à savoir 8 Go (mais pas de swap toutefois) j'ai suivi le mode d'emploi pour :
. passer les répertoires /tmp et /var/log en mémoire vive
. passer le cache de Firefox dans /tmp
5f) Installer les paquets qui vont bien
Comme l'installation s'est faite sans connexion internet, les codecs pour lire les mp3, dvd, etc. n'ont pas été installés. Pour régler cela, dans un terminal :
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-addons
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras5g) Passer l'interface en français
Même si vous avez choisi le français à l'installation, une grande partie de l'interface reste en anglais car vous avez installé le système sans connexion internet (les paquets correspondant aux langues ne sont pas présents sur la clé USB Live, hormis l'anglais). Pour avoir le français , dans un terminal :
sudo apt-get install language-selector-gnomeLancer l'application (Language Support <=> Prise en charge des langues).
Sur le premier onglet : Installer / supprimer des langues
Choisir le Français.
Appliquer à tout le système.
Cela sera pris en compte au prochain redémarrage.

Je pense qu'il serait intéressant de faire une distinction concernant le touchpad, en indiquant notamment dans ce qui ne fonctionne pas, le fait qu'il ne se désactive pas en mode tablette. Idem pour l'orientation de l'écran qui n'est pas automatique.
De plus, ce qui fonctionne :
- Lecteur SD
- La caméra
- Les boutons de réglage du volume situés sur la tranche
- Micro / casque
- La mise en veille
J'ai plusieurs questions :
Lors de la sortie de veille, il y a une notification avec la représentation du touchpad, pourquoi ?
Comment faire un "clic droit" à l'écran tactile ?
Il existe des adaptateurs RJ45 => USB, ça fonctionne bien ?

J'ai modifié.
Pour les choses que tu signales, je referai un test ce soir pour confirmation et modifierai en conséquence.
Les adaptateurs USB/RJ45 semblent tous être fournis avec un logiciel ou un pilote. Du coup j'ai pas osé en acheter. Si c'est un logiciel, il est possible que ça fonctionne sans pilote et donc que ça marche sur Ubuntu. Si c'est un pilote, il est probable qu'il ne soit pas pour Ubuntu.
Je vais réfléchir. Peut-être que je vais en prendre un quand (adaptateur) parce que j'aurais Windows à la fin de mon dualboot, donc même si ça ne marche que sous Windows, ça pourrait m'être utile.

J'ai pas testé la caméra (oublié), mais j'ai mis que ça fonctionnait en me basant sur ton expérience.
Les boutons de réglages je ne savais même pas qu'ils existaient !
J'ai la notification touchpad aussi en sortie de veille. Ainsi que celle pour le réseau (indiquant qu'il ne fonctionne pas).
Peut-être que le touchpad c'est pour dire que le touchpad s'est remis en route ?

J'ai souvenir que certaines versions d'Ubuntu qui ne voulaient pas s'installer chez moi avaient ce genre de comportement.
Il me semble que le login est "admin" et le mot de passe "user". C'est indiqué sur le site de Clonezilla. Après cette étape, je suis à nouveau resté bloqué. Je suis finalement passé par Parted Magic qui fonctionne très bien.

Parted Magic clone aussi ?
Clonezilla est un des outils présents sur Parted Magic. En l’occurrence, ça m'a semblé bien plus simple à mettre en œuvre via Parted Magic, mais je ne suis pas une référence non plus hein...
J'ai suivi ce tutoriel si besoin.

Bon le clonage est en cours terminé.
Il est temps de réfléchir au partionnement du disque.
J'ai un disque dur SSD de 256 Go dans la machine et j'ai acheté une carte SD de 128 Go destinée à rester en permanence dans l'ordinateur.
La carte SD est destinée à recevoir mon répertoire Dropbox (de 13 Go), qui contient tous mes documents de travail et sur lequel je travaille systématiquement, donc avec bcp de modifications de fichiers, ainsi que l'essentiel de ma musique (116 Go actuellement, mais il faut que je fasse du tri). Idéalement cette carte SD sera partagée entre windows et ubuntu (je ne sais pas si Dropbox va accepter).
Pour le disque dur SSD, il est de 256 Go, et là j'hésite pour la répartition windows/ubuntu : moitié/moitié ? un quart/trois quarts ?
Je devrais être la plupart du temps sous Ubuntu, donc 1/4 3/4 semble le plus logique, mais comme l'essentiel de ma data sera sur la carte sd, je n'aurais pas besoin d'énormément de place pour Ubuntu, donc 1/2 1/2 peut aussi être une solution.
À moins que je stocke aussi un peu plus de data (des photos ?) dans une partition sur le SSD et alors un 1/3 1/3 1/3 serait envisageable ?
Quels sont vos conseils ?
Par ailleurs j'ai cru lire qu'il valait mieux éviter le swap sur un ssd (j'ai 8 Go de mémoire vive). Vous en savez plus ?

J'ai fait un boot-info et mis à jour le message de démarrage.
J'ai un peu galéré : j'ai voulu utiliser ma clé USB live d'Ubuntu et y installer boot-repair, sauf que l'ordinateur qui a une connexion internet n'a plus qu'un seul port usb et un touchpad défectueux (c'est aussi pour cela que j'ai acheté un nouvel ordinateur). Enfin bon, j'y suis arrivé, en suivant le mode d'emploi du wiki. Sauf que quand j'ai redémarré sur le Yoga, quand j'ai voulu lancer boot-repair, il m'a dit que l'application n'était pas installée. Du coup j'ai tout repris en téléchargeant une iso de Linux Secure Remix.
Le même problème (de non persistance) m'est arrivé avec le pilote de la carte Realtek (wifi/bluetooth). J'ai eu beau suivre le mode d'emploi du wiki, sans rencontrer d'erreurs à la compilation, le pilote ne semble pas être installé en dur sur la clé USB car au redémarrage, toujours pas de wifi/bluetooth fonctionnel. A moins que la carte ait changé entre temps et que ce ne soit plus le bon pilote. Qui sait ?

sdc est la Clé USB Live de Linux Secure

Pour les partitions déjà présentes sur le SSD, de ce que je crois comprendre :
sda1 (1 Go) semble lié au boot de Windows (pas touche)

Pour faire de la place pour Ubuntu, et en restant prudent, je récupère les 4 Go du sda7, en supprimant cette partition, et je réduis la sda5. Je ne toucherai à rien d'autre.
J'aurais donc ce bordel de partition pour Windows, je décale tout de façon à ce que tout soit sans espace, et je libère ainsi de l'espace pour Ubuntu en fin de "disque".
Pour la place consacrée à la sda5, je ne sais pas encore. Pour l'instant, Windows tourne avec 34 Go de place, j'ai donc de la marge.
Tout dépendra si je fais 1/2 windows 1/2 ubuntu ou bien 1/3 windows 1/3 ubuntu 1/3 de data en commun.
Sinon j'ai ouvert un fil pour savoir si je peux mettre le /var, le /tmp (j'ai lu qu'on pouvait passer le /tmp en mémoire vive quelque part, ça peut être une option) et le swap sur la carte SD (avec 8 Go de mémoire vive, le swap ne devrait pas être souvent à contribution, je mettrai le paramètre qui force Ubuntu à n'utiliser le swap qu'en cas de besoin pour épargner ma carte SD, cependant je voudrai pouvoir hiberner si jamais l'hibernation fonctionne en dur). J'attends des réponses.
Vous avez un avis sur tout ça ?

L'esthétique on s'en fout. Du moment que tu libères de la place pour loger Ubuntu, que ce soit au milieu du "disque" ou à la fin, ça n'a aucune importance à mon avis. D'autant que la notion de début ou de fin de disque pour un SSD, c'est curieux...
Pour tes autres questions, je n'ai pas de conseil à donner.

Si c'était moi, je ne mettrais rien du tout sur la carte SD (pas de swap ni autre chose) qui fasse partie de l'installation de Ubuntu : je m'en servirais uniquement pour le stockage de données (au même titre qu'un disque USB externe ou qu'une clé USB). Mais mon avis n'est pas solide sur ce point et ton projet est peut-être valable.
Sinon pour l'installation, il y a des choses précises à faire concernant l'EFI ?
Il faut impérativement sélectionner "Autre chose" à l'étape 3 de l'installation, que ce soit pour ta première tentative d'installation ou pour une réinstallation ultérieure : l'installateur de Ubuntu est une calamité (c'est toujours le cas pour Trusty : il ne sait pas gérer la présence de Windows 8. Il ne le "voit" pas ) et il ne faut faire confiance qu'à l'installation manuelle
EDIT : j'ai oublié de te signaler qu'il serait utile de désactiver le démarrage rapide de Windows 8 pendant la préparation de l'installation et pendant l'installation elle-même parce qu'on voit dans ton Boot-Info les conséquences négatives de l'activation du démarrage rapide (ce sont tous les messages "The NTFS partition is in an unsafe state..."). Je viens d'appuyer sur des points un peu délicats mais sinon les conseils généreux pour l'installation sont à mon avis dans ces deux docs :

Pour la carte SD, c'était pour prendre en compte que le SSD est moins durable. Mais à vrai dire ça complique et j'ai peur qu'en cas de retrait de la carte ça pose pb. Du coup je prends ton avis en compte et s'il n'y a que le tien, je ferai comme tu le conseilles. Par contre j'ai lu que tu ne fais pas de /home séparé mais je vais en faire un pour sauvegarder mes données je crois, quand même.
OK, je désactive ce démarrage rapide là tout de suite. Tu veux que je refasse le boot-info avec ce démarrage désactivé ?
Pour "autre chose" de toute façon je vais passer par là pour le changement des participations. Mais hormis passer par là, il faut faire quelque chose (j'ai lu tellement de trucs que je m'y perds) ? Il faut utiliser la partition EFI de windows pour le boot ? Toussa ?

Pas la peine : tu le fais tout seul dans ton coin le Boot-Info et si tu ne vois plus de messages "The NTFS partition is in an unsafe state..." dans le Boot-Info, c'est que tu as fait ce qu'il fallait.

Tu n'as besoin de t'occuper que de créer la partition racine, la partition /home (puisque tu souhaites en avoir une) et la partition swap (*).
Tu n'as rien à faire s'agissant de la partition EFI parce que l'installateur voit qu'il y a une partition EFI existante (celle dans laquelle les chargeurs d'amorçage de Windows 8 sont installés) et il va installer automatiquement les fichiers qui permettent l'amorçage de Ubuntu dans cette partition. Quelque soit ce qui est sélectionné dans le champ chargeur d'amorçage, l'installateur ne se sert pas de ce qui est sélectionné (tu peux laisser comme c'est par défaut)
(*) j'ai noté sur le forum que pas mal de gens ne créent aucune partition swap dans leur ordi dans le cas où comme toi ils n'ont qu'un SSD. Par contre, ceux qui ont un SSD + un HDD adoptent une partition swap sur le HDD (ça ne doit servir à rien mais bon...)

Et tu as une idée de à quoi sert sda6 ?
PS : j'ai remis le boot-info sans le Fast Boot de Windows (dans le premier message).
PPS : le fait que j'ai oublié de désactiver le Fast Boot, ça ne nécessite pas que je refasse un clonage du disque ?

Je n'en sais rien mais je te conseille de ne pas y toucher. Comme je t'ai déjà écrit plus haut, fais de la place pour Ubuntu en faisant maigrir depuis Windows 8 (suivant la doc) le disque C: mais laisse à leur place toutes ces partitions d'origine.

A mon avis non. L'image disque servira à remettre l'ordi en config d'origine. Et la config d'origine, c'est Fast Boot activé sur Windows 8.

Oui, mais le problème c'est que sd6 est entre deux partitions auxquelles je peux toucher (je crois) : la sda5 avec windows et la sda7 avec les utilitaires lenovo (je ne comprends pas pourquoi ils font une partition juste pour stocker leurs applications et pilotes, un répertoire aurait été suffisant, mais bon).
J'ai actuellement :
. sda5 (237 Go) / sda6 (367 Mo) / sda7 (4,3 Go) / sda8 (12 Go)
que je pensais transformer en quelque chose comme :
. sda5 (113 Go) / espace à récupérer (128 Go) / sda6 (367 Mo) / sda8 (12 Go)
Mais bon, je peux aussi ne pas toucher à sda6 et sd7 et seulement récupérer de l'espace sur sda5.
Sinon je pense que je vais suivre ton conseil : ne rien installer sur la carte SD du système.
J'hésite entre deux options maintenant, si tu as un conseil, je suis preneur :
En gros :
. sda5 Windows (109 Go)
. sda 9 \ (racine) (15 Go)
. sda10 swap (9 Go = 8 Go de mémoire vive + 1 Go - pour l'hibernation)
. sda11 \home (104 Go)
Ou bien
. sda5 Windows (60 Go)
. sda 9 \ (racine) (20 Go) pas de \home séparé
. sda10 swap (9 Go)
. sda11 en NTFS, montée au démarrage, pour de la DATA partagée (148 Go)
Mon cœur penche vers la seconde solution, qui est en gros ce que j'avais avant sur mon ancien ordinateur, sauf qu'il n'y avait que Linux dessus et cette partition était en EXT4, partagée entre plusieurs distributions (Ubuntu / Ubuntu version de développement / Fedora). Là le problème c'est que c'est en NTFS et j'ai peur qu'il y ait des problèmes de droit si j'y mets, par exemple, le répertoire Utilisateur (le home) de windows. Il y en avait déjà, des pbs de droits dans mon ancien système, le compte principal (celui qui déposait l'essentiel des fichiers mp3 ou jpg) devant à intervalles réguliers faire un sudo chmod -R 777 sur ce répertoire commun. Là ça peut être pire vu que ne maîtrise plus tellement Windows. Ton avis ?
