Moi, c'est ce que je fais : je déplace les documents de Windows sur la partition de partage NTFS mais il faut que tu prennes garde au risque de perte de données qui est indiqué dans cette discussion : http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=981841
Pour éviter ce risque, il faudra que tu désactives le démarrage rapide de Windows 8 (si tu n'avais pas utilisé de partition de partage, tu aurais pu le réactiver après install mais puisque tu vas utiliser une partition de partage NTFS, c'est impératif de maintenir désactivé le démarrage rapide)

EDIT : il y a des plus futés que moi qui arrivent à éviter le pb que je vais évoquer mais chez moi, il y a une contrainte lié à l'utilisation de la partition de partage NTFS, c'est que je ne peux rien mettre à la corbeille depuis une session Ubuntu : si je veux supprimer un document qui se trouve sur la partition de partage, je dois faire une suppression définitive du document. Moi, je trouve cela complètement logique s'agissant d'un espace de stockage commun - qui n'appartient pas à un OS particulier - mais certains sont tout chagrinés pas cela et veulent absolument pouvoir mettre "à la poubelle" avec possibilité de restaurer en cas d'erreur. Je te signale la chose puisque tu dis que tu n'es plus trop familiarisé avec la cohabitation Ubuntu/Windows.

OK, je ne connaissais pas ce problème (de veille hybride).
Je viens de vérifier : la veille hybride était déjà désactivée.
Bon je crois que je vais passer à ma première tentative d'installation.
Les tailles des partitions que j'ai choisies dans le message précédent te semblent correctes ?

Non je ne suis plus habitué : un jour, il y a plusieurs années, sur mon ancien ordinateur, windows s'est retrouvé planté ; j'ai un peu essayé de le réparer mais pas trop. J'ai fini par récupérer la partition pour une version en développement d'Ubuntu. Ca ne m'a pas manqué (jusqu'à ce que mon fils ait besoin de windows pour un logiciel de musique, aussi j'ai été acheter un ordinateur d'occaz bon marché). J'ai donc fonctionné sans windows pendant plusieurs années, sauf sur un vieil ordinateur très peu utilisé (pour l'anecdote : ma compagne qui ne fait pas bcp d'ordinateur mais qui a du se plier à mes lubies ubuntiennes, s'est retrouvée un jour devant windows (pre 8) et n'a pas su lancer un programme tellement elle n'était pas habituée - elle cherchait en haut ou à gauche sans voir que le menu démarrer était en bas). Mais là je vais filer le vieil ordinateur à ma sœur et par prudence je conserve un windows sur un des ordinateurs de la maison. Et puis j'aime bien windows 8 (metro).

où il y a une partition NTFS partagée.
J'augmente un peu la racine d'Ubuntu parce qu'avec un \home non séparé j'aurais besoin d'un peu plus de place. Même si les répertoires musique, video etc sont remplacés par des liens symboliques vers la partition partagée, les autres répertoires (.config, etc.) restent dans le \home non séparé.

OK j'avais lu trop vite ton post #27 et j'avais compris que tu préférais finalement abandonner la partition commune.
Ce que tu as prévu dans le post #29 est correct. Il semble que tu sois friand de la fonctionnalité hibernation sous Ubuntu : c'est dommage parce que tu aurais pu abandonner la partition swap (tu as 8 Go de RAM : ta swap ne sera jamais utilisée) ce qui aurait permis d'augmenter l'espérance de vie de ton SSD. Même si l'absence de swap est déconseillée (voir ici), nombreux sont ceux qui passent outre (8 Go de RAM !).

Beh je n'ai jamais utilisé cette fonctionnalité jusqu'ici parce que... elle ne fonctionne sur aucun de mes ordinateurs.
Je me disais que si elle fonctionnait sur ce nouvel ordinateur ce serait un plus, mais c'est sûr que ça bouffe 9 Go pour une fonctionnalité que je ne suis pas certain d'utiliser.
Après je ne cours pas non plus tellement après de l'espace disque : ma musique et mes documents (dropbox) seront sur la carte SD, mes photos sont stockées sur un NAS et sur un disque dur externe. Avec 148 Go de stockage sur le SSD je suis large en regard de mes habitudes actuelles (mais elles peuvent changer) ; je peux même rapatrier une partie des photos.

Je vais réfléchir à ta suggestion.

Salut,

Encore hésitant ?

Pour ma part, ça s'est très bien passé. Secure boot et fast boot désactivés, installation via une carte SD. Côté partition, j'ai viré la partition Lenovo de 4Go, définitivement inutile, et réduis celle de Windows pour faire de la place. J'ai hésité à supprimer le recovery. Une seule partition pour Ubuntu (14.04), pas de SWAP.
Windows n'a pas bronché, l'ordi boot sur le grub, puis sur Ubuntu au bout de qqs secondes si je n'ai rien sélectionné avant.

Concernant le tactile, après configuration de "Accès universel" et du clavier virtuel, on arrive à quelque chose d'assez efficace, à défaut d'être optimal. Cela mérite encore un peu d'exploration.

Pas trop le temps de m'étendre sur le sujet désolé, je viendrai faire part de ma config plus tard. Bonne chance !

Je n'hésite pas.
J'ai hésité quand j'ai eu l'ordinateur, et au bout de 2 jours je me suis choppé un adware à cause d'un clic sur "ok" un peu rapide et, comme par ailleurs je n'ai pas réussi à installer LaTeX (pas super insisté non plus), j'ai su que j'installerai Ubuntu (et bizarrement il y a un autre truc qui fait pencher la balance c'est l'absence des mettres majuscules accentuées dans le clavier de Windows - et faire ALT144 ou ALT128 pour avoir le E aigu ça me saoule sans clavier numérique).
Je n'hésite pas, je vais juste contre ma tendance naturelle à aller trop vite et je me force à différer.
J'ai bien fait jusqu'ici parce que les conseils de malbo et ton présent témoignage (sur le SWAP) font qu'au final je suis très loin de mon idée initiale (swap, /var, etc. sur carte SD) qui n'était peut-être pas très bonne.
Par ailleurs j'ai pas mal de trucs à faire IRL, dont un déménagement aujourd'hui. Ça (ce "Ça" avec la cédille sur le C majuscule, il me faut passer par le correcteur d'orthographe pour l'avoir, et ça me saoule) permet de se forcer à prendre son temps.
Mais bon d'ici la fin du weekend ça devrait être fait.
Je pars sur Gnome Ubuntu évidemment (cf ma signature) qui fonctionne aussi bien (testé l'autre jour sur clé USB).
Sur ce, à demain (dure journée en perspective).

Bon j'ai détaillé.
J'ai l'interface en anglais mais je suppose que c'est du fait que ce soit la beta. Pas possibilité de changer (le clavier est fr).
Le procédé pour reconnaître le bluetooth du wiki ne fonctionne pas chez moi...
Sinon mes montages /windows et /dos sont les seuls ... que je ne vois pas dans nautilus.

Il y a du avoir un bug.
Ci-dessous mon fstab (tel qu'il a été créé par l'installation) mais je crois que je vais ouvrir un autre fil :

Pourquoi veux-tu créer une nouvelle discussion puisque l'install n'est pas finie ? Je te propose de poster ici ton Boot-Info en utilisant ton Linux-Secure-Remix comme pour le post #14 mais avant de lancer Boot-Repair n'oublie pas de faire la mise à jour comme expliqué dans ce post : http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.ph … #p13154581
Avec le Boot-Info, je pourrai te conseiller pour le montage des deux partitions NTFS.

Tu devrais supprimer les 4 lignes suivantes de ton fstab (ou les commenter) :

Et quand ce sera fait, tu utiliseras ntfs-config pour créer les montages de ces partitions. Compte-tenu des labels que tu as déjà donnés à ces partitions, ntfs-config va créer :
pour sda5, un point de montage /media/Windows8_OS
pour sda6, un point de montage /media/Data
Si ntfs-config crée d'autres points de montage pour les autres partitions NTFS, tu n'auras qu'à supprimer les lignes indésirables du fstab pour ne laisser que les lignes pour sda5 et sda6

En fait je crois que c'est une méprise de ma part.
Après modifs, je me suis aperçu que les répertoires /dos et /windows étaient peut-être bien montés mais comme ils n'étaient pas indiqués comme devant être montés dans /media, ils n'apparaissaient probablement pas comme partition montée, mais ils existaient probablement à la racine.

Enfin bref, j'ai modifié tout ça avec ntfs-config dans une première passe (pour les paramètres) puis en créant les bons raccourcis dans /media puis en modifiant le fichier /etc/fstab de façon à qu'ils soient montés comme prévus.

J'ai aussi réussi à faire en sorte que la carte SD ne soit pas montée seulement pour l'utilisateur principal mais au démarrage du système. Comme elle est un peu lente à monter, ça ralentit le démarrage (d'ailleurs il y a un message disant que la carte n'est pas monter et indiquant qu'il faut soit attendre soit passer cette étape (S) soit monter manuellement (M). Les premières fois j'ai lu trop et pensé que la carte n'arrivait pas à être montée, puis j'ai utilisé le premier choix proposé (attendre) et après quelques secondes le système démarre normalement avec la carte SD montée.

Du coup pas besoin de temporiser le démarrage de Dropbox (qui gueule si la carte SD n'est pas montée avant le lancement de Dropbox) mais je la laisse quand même (la temporisation), juste au cas où.

Je mets à jour dans le premier message en résumant la procédure.

Plus que le Bluetooth à faire fonctionner.

Esio, l'auteur du wiki, m'a indiqué par couriel un autre fichier pilote que celui indiqué dans le wiki et ressemblant à celui du wifi (qui lui fonctionne) mais je crois qu'il y a une erreur à la compilation du pilote.

Je me rend compte que le wiki n'est peut être pas assez explicite; j'utilise encore le code de lwfinger https://github.com/lwfinger/rtl8723au_bt

Il se trouve que mon intention est aussi d'utiliser le Bluetooth depuis mon boulot (c'est pour ça que j'ai pris un 13 pouces, meilleur compromis, selon moi, entre le convofrt et la mobilité).

Hum, les accès à la carte SD sont parfois interrompus sans que j'identifie la raison, ce qui fait que tout travail sur cette carte est hâché (écoute de musique, mise à jour de Dropbox, etc.).
Du coup je vais probablement devoir tout rapatrier sur la partition d'échange entre Windows et Ubuntu.
Ce qui fait que, finalement, j'ai besoin de place (110 Go de musique et 13 Go de Dropbox).
Et que, par chance, en suivant tes conseils de ne pas faire de swap, j'ai pas mal de place de disponible.

Bon, pour l'instant je ne rapatrie pas (je fais plein de manips en même temps, il est possible que les ralentissements viennent de là). J'attend de voir un peu.

Plus que le Bluetooth.

J'ai l'impression qu'il m'indique que j'ai déjà un pilote en fonction (in function btusb_probe) ou un truc du genre.
J'ai désinstallé ce pilote (succès), compilé le pilote indiqué par esion dans son couriel (cf plus haut) (succès), redémarré, mais tjs pas de Bluetooth fonctionnel...

Tu devrais pouvoir réactiver les deux. Mais après réactivation du fast Boot, tu auras probablement un message au démarrage de temps en temps qui te dira que la partition sda5 ne peut pas être montée, avec "Continue to wait, or Press S to skip mounting or M for manual recovery". Il suffira d'appuyer sur la touche S et Ubuntu démarrera sans faire le montage de la partition sda5. Pour éviter cette situation, il faut toujours quitter Windows 8 par Redémarrer (et pas par Arrêter): c'est expliqué ici

Hum, quand j'active le "secure boot" je ne peux pas démarrer sous Windows.
J'ai le grub mais quand je choisis Windows j'ai le message suivant :

Bon je crois que je vais abandonner pour le Bluetooth. Je peux me connecter via mon mobile par le cordon USB, donc ça fera l'affaire.
Par contre le réglage des boutons de luminosité, qui fonctionnait quand j'ai la procédure indiquée dans le wiki, ne fonctionne plus. Peut-être suite à une mise à jour. Je ne sais pas trop.
C'est génant. Le bouton "mode avion" ne fonctionne pas non plus.
