Problème de freeze sur Xubuntu

Bonjour à tous,
Je cherche à résoudre un problème que intervient depuis mon installation d'Xubuntu depuis 3 semaines.
Je suis nouveau sur l'OS et ne connais pas encore toutes les commandes, mais j'apprends doucement et sûrement.

Voilà le problème, mon ordinateur freeze aléatoirement ce qui est embattant, surtout en plein milieu d'une vidéo, ou d'une opération délicate. Et je suis obligé de redémarrer en appuyant sur le bouton d'alimentation.

j'ai tenté de me renseigné sur ma CG en rentrant une ligne de commande. J’espère que ça peux aider.

quelle est le  version utilisé d'ubuntu et quelle version de noyau aussi et ton matériel (pc bureautique ou portatif ,le carte graphique etc

J'ai installer la distribution Xubuntu 14.04 LTS (d'après ce que j'ai compris LTS signifie stable)

Bonsoir, lorsque tu as ces incidents, es-tu sur batterie ou connecté au réseau EDF, avec quel logiciel  lis-tu tes videos, certains sont très consommateurs de C.P.
Tu peux aussi ajouter la commande top -d 2 pour suivre la consommation processeur.

Les incidents, comme je l'ai dis sont complètement aléatoire.
La première fois j'étais sur secteur, en train de faire mes premiers pas sous Xubuntu.
La fois suivante, sur batterie en train d'écouter de la musique (via clémentine) et en faisant des recherches sur ce forum pour apprendre à l'utiliser.
Une autre fois sur secteur, brancher en HDMI en pleine visualisation d'une video. (HDMI avec le son branché sur les enceintes: un point que je tiens à signalé est absolument génial, avec mes autres pc (W$) il n'y avais que le son de la TV qui sortais donc horrible.^^)

Je vais testé ta commande et voir ce que ça donne.

Voilà, a 2H12 du matin. ça l'a refait.
J'étais sur batterie et n'avais que clémentine qui tourné en tâche de fond, pendant que j'étais entrain de surfer tranquillement sur le net.
Quand je dis que c'est aléatoire... C'est un coup de bol parce que au final, ça ne l'a fais que 2-3 fois aujourd'hui.

Salut,

Ouvre un terminal et tape : top , Laisse tourner en permanence tout en l'ayant constamment à l'oeil pour voir si ce n'est pas un logiciel qui bloque tout. Pour rebooter lors d'un freez presse : Alt + Print screen + B , puis va regarde dans /var/log/syslog si au moment du freez il y a des erreurs ou warnings.

j'ai copié les infos du fichier syslog pendant la période d'hier quand ça a planté. entre 2h12(heure que j'ai regardé sur mon portable) et 2h13 heure que j'ai vu sur l'ordinateur au redémarrage)

Bonjour, après de nombreuses recherches, en vain. J'ai finis par en déduire que je n'y pouvais rien. Je dois attendre fin juillet que la version 14.04.1 sorte pour peut être régler mon problème. Mais il est vrai qu'à force de faire les mises à jour régulièrement, il y a du mieux. Ce n'est pas encore optimale, mais je remarque que les problèmes surviennent principalement lorsque vlc est ouvert. Ce n'est pas toujours le cas, mais la plupart du temps c'est plus ou moins lié.

Le gestionnaire de mises à jour permet de passer directement d'une LTS à la suivante sans passer par les versions intermédiaires. Notez cependant que la migration depuis Ubuntu 12.04 LTS ne sera proposée aux utilisateurs qu'à partir de fin juillet, quand la révision 14.04.1 sera sortie. En attendant, les impatients peuvent migrer via la commande update-manager -d.

J'en déduis que pour une version sans problème lors du passage de la 12.04 LTS à la 14.04 LTS, il est plus sage d'attendre la 14.04.1.

je vois que vous n'avez pas de noyau en secours ! il faut toujours au moins garder l'avant-dernier car en cas de plantage vous seriez content de pouvoir démarrer dessus "en mode dépannage

Pour le noyau vous avez la dernière version proposé par le système après avec le 3.14 non officiel vous prenez un risque ?

là c'est trop tard ,il n'y a plus qu'a attendre le nouveau noyau ,il faudrait y penser pour la prochaine fois (au minimum 2 noyaux celui en cours plus l'avant dernier)
pour ce faire vous pouvez utilisez KCLEAN (qui propose automatiquement de supprimer en conservant l'avant dernier)

qui est passer du =  3.13.0-30.54    au 3.13.0-30.55
vous pouvez peut-être forcer cette mise a jour (si elle ne vous ai pas encore proposée) avec

sudo apt-get update

puis

sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Bonjour,
En fait la suppression des anciens noyaux est complètement de ma faute. Je suis passé par le logiciel "Ubuntu Tweak" qui me proposé "Nettoyage" dont les anciens noyaux. J'ai donc accepté sans pensé que ça jouerai sur la restauration du système.
J'ai forcé l’installation de la mise à jour comme tu me l'a proposé alca94.
Je vais utilisé mon ordinateur aujourd'hui, comme d'habitude, et vous ferez un retour. Si le problème est toujours présent, ou si cette mise à jour a résolu le soucis.

Edit: Cela n'a pas duré longtemps, une dizaine de minutes.... De nouveau le même problème, donc la mise à jour du kernel n'a absolument rien changé.
Je viens de pensé à un truc. Mon ordinateur est un portable, alors je doute d'avoir une carte graphique digne de ce nom. Je pense même que ma CG n'est en fait que ma Carte mère. Est-il possible qu'avec une mise à jour du driver de la carte mère, le problème soit résolu? (ou faire comme sur windows, une mise à jour du BIOS?)

Je vais regardé de ce côté. Parce que ça expliquerai que dans le rapport syslog, on retrouve:

Jun  6 02:12:35 Charlie-LDLC kernel: [    0.000000] No AGP bridge found
