PB démarrage après transition vers 14.04 LTS

Bonjour,

Après avoir fait la mise à jour vers la version 14.04 LTS, je ne peux plus redémarrer.

au redémarrage apparait la page  :
GNU GRUB version 1.97~beta4
me propose
Memory test - mtest86+ que je valide
apparait
error : unknown command 'knetbsd'

Je suis un novice et une bille en info (linux installé par un "pro") Que dois-je faire, merci pour votre sollicitude.

Je vois là que tu avais précédemment Ubuntu 12.04 dans ton ordi. Tu as vu que le gestionnaire de mises à jour venait de te proposer "la nouvelle version 14.04.1 LTS de Ubuntu est disponible" et tu n'as pas hésité deux secondes. Tu aurais dû...parce que maintenant il va falloir sortir les rames. 
Je te prie de faire un Boot-Info en suivant cette procédure simplifiée : http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.ph … #p16690381
Si tu n'as pas de support live de Ubuntu 14.04.1 dont tu as besoin pour faire ce Boot-Info, je te suggère de réaliser une liveUSB Ubuntu 14.04.1 64bits en suivant ce tuto : http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.ph … #p16713311

Bonjour, merci pour les info mais j'avoue que je ne sais pas comment m'en servir.
En effet au démarrage de l'ordi, je n'ai plus accès à vista, n'apparait que : Memory test (memtest86+)
                                                                                                                    Memory test (memtest86+, serial console 115200).
J'ai donc récupérer les aplli via un ordi portable sur une clé usb. Cela va t-il suffir ??

Bonjour,
J'ai eu un pb suite à la mise à jour d'ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS. j'ai du faire un boot-repair avec un live usb (Un grand merci à malbo).
Donc suite aux précieux conseils de malbo voici le lien url du boot-info

la version "Grub2 (v1.97-1.98)" confirme le message que tu as noté dans ton post #1 : "GNU GRUB version 1.97~beta4". Cette version est obsolète (elle correspond à Ubuntu 9.10). Cela signifie que ton ordi démarre sur ce chargeur d'amorçage de Grub qui n'est pas compatible avec la version de Grub de ton Ubuntu 14.04 et c'est pour cela que ça ne fonctionne pas.
Dans le Boot-Info du post #6, on voit à la fin les intentions de réparation de Boot-Repair :

Cela signifie que si tu fais la "Réparation recommandée" de Boot-Repair, il va remplacer le chargeur d'amorçage obsolète par le chargeur d'amorçage qui va bien dans le disque dur sda (ça c'est ce qu'on veut) mais il va le faire également dans tous les lecteurs sauf les lecteurs USB dans lesquels il n'y a pas d'OS (là, tu vas intervenir comme je l'explique plus bas). Concrètement, tu vas refaire tout ce que tu as fait pour faire le Boot-Info mais cette fois, au lieu de cliquer sur "Create a BootInfo summary", tu vas cliquer sur "Recommanded repair" (ici). Au cours de la réparation, Boot-Repair va te demander des confirmations :
- est-ce que sda (320 GB) est un disque USB ? (tu répondras non puisque sda est ton disque interne)
- est-ce que sdb (16 GB) est un disque USB ? ( tu répondras oui puisque sdb est ta liveUSB)
- est-ce que sdg (1000 GB) est un disque USB ? ( tu répondras oui puisque c'est ton disque dur externe WD My Book )

Un grand merci pour vos indications et le temps passé sur mon pb.

Lors de mon boot repair ne m'a pas demandé les confirmations pour sda (320gb) sdb et sdg. Cela à t'il un lien avec le pb suivant :

Je peux de nouveau redémarrer, mais j'ai 2 choix pour rouvrir ubuntu soit  : ubuntu ou Advanced options for ubuntu
J'ai essayé ubuntu, il apparait la page ou est demandé mon mot de passe, après il marque qu'il et je tombe sur mon image d'accueil vierge sans icones donc ne peut rien faire. Pour Advance options j'ai plusieurs choix : ubuntu with linux 3.13.0-33 généric ou linux 3.2.0-67 généric.

Après essai idem pour 3.13.0-33 généric, ouvre fond d'écran avec en bas à droite ubuntu 14.04 LTS  et le message d'erreur suivant System Program Problem detected.

Suite...mais pas fin.
Je pense avoir également un PB de carte graphique. je tente de refaire un boot-repair, des fois que j'ai loupé une manip, a partir de la clé liveusb.
arrivé sur la session (essayer ubuntu) au bout de quelque seconde l'écran reste figé, plus de contrôle ni avec la souris ou le clavier.
Je sèche donc de nouveau.

Tout ce que tu décris là indique que la réparation de ton démarrage a été faite. Par contre, ce n'est pas parce que ça démarre que ça fonctionne bien.
Il y a une chose que j'aimerais bien savoir : quand tu es en session live (Essayer Ubuntu sans l'installer) de Ubuntu 14.04.1, as-tu les mêmes anomalies ?

En bidouillant j'ai pu redémarrer en mode graphic sans échec (l'image est déformée...)
Un message d'erreur apparait "l'application gtk-uptade-icon-cache-3.0 s'est arrêtée de façon innatendue.
Je n'arrive plus à accéder à certain fichiers (via les raccourcis) comment les restaurer ? et comment redémarrer sans pb de carte graphique svp.

Je n'avais pas vu ta réponse avant d’inonder la discussion de mes avancées.
Effectivement je n'ai pas essayé ubuntu, j'avoue que je suis perturbé dans mes démarches par ce souci d'écran qui se fige en mode normal.
Ce pb à démarré avant que j'installe 14.04.1, suite à une mise à jour...
Est-il possible de réparer ou alors de repartir sur un ubuntu plus ancien mais adapté à mon matériel ?

Avant de lâcher la proie pour Londres, ce serait bien que tu répondes à ma demande que je réitère ; quand tu es en session live (Essayer Ubuntu sans l'installer) de Ubuntu 14.04.1, as-tu les mêmes anomalies ? (je veux dire l'écran qui se fige, plus de contrôle ni avec la souris ou le clavier.) Le but de ma demande, c'est d'avoir une confirmation par cet essai que ton ordi déteste cette version 14.04.1

Oui comme je précisais sur mon dernier message "Ce pb à démarré avant que j'installe 14.04.1, suite à une mise à jour..." - au bout de 10-15 minutes d'utilisation l'écran se figeait et plus de contrôle.
Pour récapituler suite au boot-repair : sur Ubuntu (14.04.1) n'y ai pas accès - (après avoir identifié le mot de passe, apparait juste le fond d'écran, pour moi la session n'est pas ouverte, aucune manipulation possible)
Sur ubuntu with linux 3.13.0-33 généric après un dernier essai et quelques petits messages d'erreur que je n'ai pas le temps de noter, pour le moment l'image est correcte et un message apparait :
"Impossible d'appliquer la configuration enregistré pour les écran - aucun des modes choisis n'est compatible avec les modes possibles : Tests des modes pour CRTC 379 - Tests du mode 1920x1080@0Hz avec une sortie à 1280x1024@0Hz (passe 0)
CRTC 379 : Test du mode 1920x1080@0Hz avec une sortie à 1280x1024@0Hz (passe 1).

Après avoir fermer cette fenêtre, je peux continuer à naviguer avec ma souris (pour le moment). Je note que sur mon écran apparait une flèche (pointeur de souris) qui reste figé. ai vu passé un message pour ma résolution écran, Mon ordi est apparemment en mode "low".

Toutes mes excuses pour les explications confuses.

Malbo te demande de démarrer sur le LiveCD d'Ubuntu 14.04, pour savoir si le problème vient d'une incompatibilité entre Ubuntu 14.04 et ton ordinateur, ou d'un problème de pilotes dû à la migration.

Pour passer un sujet en résolu : modifiez le premier message et ajoutez [Résolu] au titre.
