[Résolu] Erreur "Unable to locate package linux" dans boot-repair

Bonjour à tous,

j'ai tenté une installation d'Ubuntu 14.04 sur mon portable ASUS U36S via un liveUSB créé avec LinuxLive USB Creator (pas de lecteur CD sur ce modèle).

J'ai fait mes partitions avec GParted, en créant une partition "extended" contenant des sous-partitions ext4 (de 300Go) et swap (de 15Go pour une RAM de 8Go). La numérotation m'a paru étrange (pas de numéro 4) mais l'installation n'a pas renvoyé d'erreur.

Au démarrage, impossible d'accéder à grub pour partir sur Ubuntu (démarrage automatique sous Windows). Je n'ai rien vu dans le BIOS qui permette de régler le problème.

J'ai tenté l'utilisation de Boot-Repair, mais à la dernière étape, j'obtiens l'erreur "E: Unable to locate package linux". Je n'ai pas trouvé sur ce forum d'autre référence à cette erreur. En cliquant sur "Discard", le programme me dit que la réinitialisation de grub a échoué et qu'il n'est plus installé sur la partition sda5.

Je me réponds à moi-même... En trifouillant un peu les options de Boot-Repair, j'ai forcé la réinstallation de grub sur mon disque dur "au-dessus" des partitions. Je ne sais pas si je suis très clair, ça ne l'est pas tellement pour moi à vrai dire : je ne sais pas exactement où mon grub s'est réinstallé.

Le fait est que ça marche, maintenant.

On y voit qu'il y avait de grosses anomalies concernant Grub dont l'absence du fichier de configuration de Grub (grub.cfg). C'est pourquoi la réinstallation de Grub que tu as réalisée dans le post #2 était indispensable.
