modifier les options de demarrage

Bonjour,
Je suis débutante sur Ubuntu, j'ai recherché parmi les différents messages avant de poster, mais j'ai du mal à suivre les discussions et à identifier si mon problème a déjà été traité.

Je m'explique :
J'ai jusqu'ici toujours utilisé Windows, et je souhaite découvrir l'environnement linux, je me suis donc lancée et ai installé Ubuntu 14.04 sur un disque usb externe. Jusqu'ici pas de probleme !
Je pense avoir zappé une étape lors de la configuration du chargeur d'amorcage.

Ce que je souhaiterais, c'est que lorsque lorsque mon HD USB est connecté que j'ai un menu de demarrage qui me laisse le choix entre demarrer sur Windows ou sur Ubuntu, et si le disque USB n'est pas branché que mon PC demarre automatiquement sur Windows.

Actuellement,  lors du demarrage du PC j'ai cet écran qui s'affiche :

je tape exit (un reflexe windows) et là il y a 2 cas de figure :

1/ Si le disque USB est branché j'ai accès au menu GNU GRUB et je peux choisir parmi les options l'OS qui me convient (meme si le délai est tres court genre 5 secondes, il démarre selon l'option active)....

2/ Si le disque USB n'est pas connecté, j'ai la ligne de commande "GRUB>" qui boucle à l'infini, je dois retaper exit pour en sortir et windows est lancé automatiquement.

J’espère avoir été claire. Il manque surement des infos, et le sujet est surement déjà traité, mais j'avoue etre un peu larguée sur le vocabulaire de cet environnement. Meme si je fais des efforts, lol !


PS : J'ai un peu potassé et pensé à utilisé boot-repair, mais je ne suis pas sure que ca a voir avec mon probleme, et je suis larguée quoi!!!!!

Je pense que ça doit pourvoir se régler. Peux-tu donner le nom complet du modèle de ton ordi et son fabricant ?
D'autre part, je te prie de connecter ton disque dur externe et de démarrer ton ordi sur le Ubuntu qui est installé sur ce disque dur externe. Depuis la session de ce Ubuntu, je te prie de faire un Boot-Info en suivant cette procédure simplifiée : http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.ph … #p16690381
Tu indiqueras l'URL du Boot-Info dans ta réponse.

On voit que Ubuntu est normalement en priorité de démarrage.
Je te propose dans un premier temps de mettre à jour le chargeur d'amorçage de Grub en passant cette commande depuis une session du Ubuntu de ton disque dur externe :

sudo grub-install

Après cela, tu devrais démarrer directement sur le menu Grub au démarrage (au lieu du message "Minimal BASH-like" que tu as actuellement).

D'autre part, en pressant la touche F9 au démarrage de ton ordi, tu devrais pouvoir sélectionner "Windows Boot Manager" et démarrer sur Windows. Tu peux confirmer ?

J'ai passé la commande et l'installation s'est bien terminée.
J'ai redémarré l'ordi, en pressant F9 j'ai toujours au démarrage  le message "Minimal BASH-like", entapant exit, j’accède au menu de démarrage Grub. D'ailleurs que je presse F9 ou non, j'ai la meme chose !

Normalement tu as une option "boot from efi file" dans ton système UEFI : http://www.eightforums.com/installation … post157771
Cela permet de démarrer un des fichiers .efi que tu peux voir dans sda2 (*) dans le Boot-Info. As-tu essayé ?

[*) sachant que :
/EFI/ubuntu/shimx64.efi démarre Ubuntu
/EFI/Microsoft/Boot/bootmgfw.efi démarre Windows 8

J'ai testé les options de demarrage et ca ne change rien...


Ok, je me décourage vite, mais ca fait plus d'une semaine que je cherche une solution sans vraiment trouver, j'ai voulu tester ubuntu et meme si le système a l'air sympathique, devoir rappliquer à chaque fois que quelqu'un utilise le PC devient prise de tete !

Je vais arrêter les frais et revenir à Windows.
Pour enlever ubuntu, j'aurais qu'à reformater le disque usb, ca ira.
Ma dernière question est comment  restaurer mon fichier boot, j'ai essayé un fixboot, mais je pense que c'est loin de suffire....
J'ai passé ma soirée dessus, j'en ai mal au crane !

Je pense que j'ai trouvé pourquoi ça merdouille. Au démarrage, le système UEFI lit le fichier /EFI/ubuntu/shimx64.efi qui est en priorité de démarrage. Ce fichier contient une instruction qui lui dit de se rendre sur la partition sdb2 (la deuxième partition du disque dur externe) pour y chercher un fichier /boot/grub/grub.cfg. Le problème c'est que le disque dur externe n'est pas encore opérationnel (il démarre un poil en retard par rapport au disque dur interne). Donc le processus de démarrage par Grub étant impossible puisque la partition sdb2 ne peut pas être lue, il y a l'affichage du message.
Je pense qu'il faut rétablir le démarrage par défaut sur "Windows Boot Manager" (alors qu'il est actuellement sur ubuntu). Cela se fait en allant dans l'UEFI (touche Echap au démarrage puis F10)
