multiboot Seven/Ubuntu:cloner sur disque + grand ( et plus ) ( résolu)
Bonjour.
Mon PC certes vieux ( 4 ans ) tourne en multiboot Seven 64 bits : Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty 64 bits.
Tout fonctionne bien ( Seven quelques jeux : Ubuntu internet et photo numériques ).
Le HD a 4 ans et fait seulement 500 Go, je souhaiterai rajeunir mon HD ( peur de perdre mes photos ( sauvegardées sur un HD externe ) et surtout en disposer d'un plus grand.
Je passerai alors à un 1 To.
J'ai utilisé il y a 4 ou 5 ans Gparted.
Ma question : quel logiciel pour installer tout ce qu'il y a sur mon 500 sur le futur HD de 1 To ?
Je pense surtout au multiboot et à Grub.
J'ai des partoches en NTFS et Ext4.

Aucun logiciel ne te fera ça intelligemment. je pense qu'il est très utile que tu réinstalles tout toi-même suivant tes besoins, un peu comme si tu emménageais dans un appartement plus grand. Si tu souhaites un avis, tu peux faire un Boot-Info (tu commences à l'étape2) depuis ta session du Ubuntu 14.04 : Tu colleras l'URL de ce Boot-Info dans ta réponse et on essaiera d'en discuter.

Bon la réinstall d'Ubuntu pas de problème.
C'est le Seven qiui m'inquiéte ( je l'ai acheté hein ) va-t-il vouloir accepter une réinstallation ? Vu que le disque dur ne sera plus le même. Et je ne parle pas de la tapée de mises à jours.
Sinon j'ai suivi l'étape 2 : ça donne http://paste.ubuntu.com/9239040/
Là j'avoue que je suis largué.

Ne peux-tu pas envisager de conserver ce disque dur avec Windows 7 dessus et ubuntu dessus et d'ajouter un deuxième disque dur 1 To ? Tu pourrais te contenter d'utiliser le disque de 1 To pour le stockage de données uniquement.

Aucun logiciel ne te fera ça intelligemment. je pense qu'il est très utile que tu réinstalles tout toi-même suivant tes besoins, un peu comme si tu emménageais dans un appartement plus grand. Si tu souhaites un avis, tu peux faire un Boot-Info (tu commences à l'étape2) depuis ta session du Ubuntu 14.04 : Tu colleras l'URL de ce Boot-Info dans ta réponse et on essaiera d'en discuter.

Perso j'utilise soit clonezilla (gratuit) soit Acronis, bien plus efficace mais payant.

@PPdM : quand tu utilises Clonezilla, après l'opération tu dois avoir un souci avec Windows 7 parce que ce dernier doit refuser de démarrer dans un autre disque dur que son disque dur d'origine, non ?

Oui l'idée d'utiliser le 1 To en esclave est une alternative.
Cependant ce HD va avoir 4 ans à la fin du mois, je pensais le remplacer par un neuf de 1To et mettre le vieux en esclave ou en externe ou encore garder le vieux au cas ou ( en cas de crash du nouveau ).
Si j'utilise Acronis en version d'évaluation, saura-t-il tout me copier ( grub , multi boot...) ?

Bonjour.
Je testerais ceci.
Copier de partition à partition les deux systèmes tout installé et paramétré. C'est ce que je fais à la maison.
Les deux hdd branchés.
En session live Ubuntu.
Préparer le hdd de 1 To avec Gparted.
Table de partitions de type MSDOS.
Toujours avec Gparted. Copier/coller (çà va prendre du temps suivant la grandeur de la partition) sur le hdd de 1 To dans l'espace non alloué, la partition W$ en premier.
Un coup de Boot-Repair pour restaurer un mbr Generic compatible W$. sur le hdd de 1 To.
Chez moi çà marche pour redémarrer mon XP. Vérifier que W$7 redémarre. Si il ne redémarre pas ce n'est pas grave puisque la réinstallation de Grub du Ubuntu va écrasé le MBR du hdd de 1 To, et permettre de faire démarrer les Os depuis le menu Grub, comme sur le hdd de 500 Go.
Sur le Hdd de 1 To. Dans l'espace disque non alloué derrière W$7, préparer les partitions qui vont recevoir la copie de Ubuntu. (partition étendue + partitions logiques.) Voir à la fin des explications pour une éventuelle partition d'échange de données entre les deux Os. donc créer cette partition à ce moment là.
Pour Ubuntu. On peut changer la taille de/des partitions d'installation. La limite minimum est la taille des données écrites sur ces partitions.
Mettre des label (étiquettes) sur les partitions d'installation de Ubuntu. Ceci pour faciliter les commande de copie de partition à partition. Çà évite d'avoir à recopier les UUID des partitions dans les commandes de copie...
Par exemple;
Disque source le hdd de 500 Go , partition système Ubuntu ==> syst-ubuntu
partition /home séparé, si il y a ==> hom-ubuntu
Disque cible le hdd de 1 To; partition système ext4 vide ==> copy-syst
partition home ext4 vide ==> copy-hom
Préparer une partition swap de la taille que l'on veut.
Toujours en session live . Copie de partition à partition avec la commande cp .
Monter (en les ouvrant avec le gestionnaire de fichier Nautilus) les partitions source et cible .
Copie.
Pour copier le système. Ouvrir en grand le terminal pour voir ce qui se passe.(faire un copier/coller des commandes).
sudo cp -av /media/ubuntu/syst-ubuntu/. /media/ubuntu/copy-systQuand la copie est finie (retour au prompt) .
Copier le partition /home si il y a .
Ouvrir en grand le terminal pour voir ce qui se passe.(faire un copier/coller des commandes).
sudo cp -av /media/ubuntu/hom-ubuntu/. /media/ubuntu/copy-homQuand la copie est finie (retour au prompt) .
Les partitions cible de la copie de Ubuntu sont en place.
Changement des UUID des partitions.
Il faut changer dans la partition cible système, les UUID des partitions (cible syst, /home et swap) dans le fichier /etc/fstab. du système copié. Car celles qui y sont portées, sont celles du disque source. Il faut les changer pour celle du disque cible.
la commande;
sudo blkidVa lister les disques, partitions avec les label et UUID.
Dans la partition cible système, ouvrir le fichier fstab en root. avec gedit.
sudo gedit /media/ubuntu/copy-syst/etc/fstabChanger les UUID des partition système / , /home séparé si il y a, et swap . Avec les UUID indiqué par le terminal. Faire des copier /coller. Opération délicate, il ne faut pas se planter.
Ajout d'une entré pour la partition swap dans le fichier fstab. Çà ressemble à ceci;
# swap was on /dev/sd*6 during installation
UUID=6500a8d6-2aa9-4fd0-9635-c322293922a3 none swap sw 0 0Ne pas oublier de changer l'UUID de la partition swap, par celui indiqué par le terminal.
Enregistrer fermer gedit et terminal.
Réinstallation de Grub. Soit en commande avec un chroot. Soit avec Boot-Repair. Je préfère Boot-Repair.
Installer Boot-Repair, et réinstaller Grub sur le Ubuntu du hdd de 1 To. En passant par les Options avancées.
Choisir le Ubuntu dans le hdd de 1 TO. (Oui, sont proposés celui du hdd de 500 Go et celui du hdd de 1 To.).
Mettre Grub première partie; onglet "Emplacement de Grub" ; dans "Placer Grub dans" indiquer le hdd de 1 TO pas le hdd de 50 Go. Valider et Appliquer.
Normalement au rebot sur le hdd de 1 TO tou doit fonctionner.
Voila la copie des Os du hdd de 500 Go sur le hdd de 1 To est finie. On retrouve nos paramètres, données perso et même la corbeille des Os pleine si on ne l'a pas vidée.
Voila. C'est ce que je fais chez moi, pour trimballer mes Os tout installés paramétré de disque en disque .
malbo, dirait de profiter de ces manips pour créer une partition d'échanges de données formaté en NTFS ,de bonne taille.
Pour caser les données utilisables sous W$ et Ubuntu ...
Donc ne surtout pas s'en priver .

on pas de soucis si tu reboot sur le même PC, tu sais, les disques nous le faisons a la chaîne, quand une machine a une panne matérielle, on swap le disque sur une machine identique sans souci, si on a besoin de plus de place on clone sur un plus grand, ce qui coince c'est quand les composants du PC sont trop différents.

Les temps bénis avec Partimage! ...Mais il fonctionne encore pour ce genre d'opération, sauf qu'il ne supporte pas le ext4, et je vois que tu as du ext4.
Tu peux faire la même chose avec partclone qui lui supporte le ext4
Mais comme dit PPdM, si par exemple la carte graphique est différente, c'est chocolat, quoique...on peut s'en sortir

Bon je suis en plein doute.
J'ai fait un cd bootable de clonezilla ainsi qu'une clé usb bootable.
Je vais théoriquement recevoir mon 1 To demain.
Je pense utiliser clonezilla pour copier tout ce qu'il y a de mon vieux 500 Go sur le futur 1 To.
Mais je mélange tout ce soir.
- dois je formater préalablement le 1 To avant de cloner ?
- dois je partitionner préalablement le 1 To avant de cloner ( je conserverai la même taille des partitions sous Seven toutes en NTFS ). Je donnerai plus de place / et /home , avec en plus une partition d'échange formatée en NTFS pour qu'elle soit visible aussi bien par Ubuntu que par Seven.
- clonezilla va-t-il se débrouiller avec Grub ?
Comme je ne change que le disque dur, Seven ne devrait pas me poser de problème lors du clonage.
Sinon si ça merde, je tenterai une réinstallation de Seven ( seul le disque dur est changé, la CM et le reste sont identique ). la réinstallation sera possible non ?

L'image faite par Clonezilla, est un ensemble de dossiers et fichiers compressé que l'on doit stocker quelque part.
Un autre disque dur externe ou pas. Ou a distance...
On ne copie pas de disque à disque... Je n'ai pas vu cette fonction ...
Est-ce bien ce que tu veux faire?

J'ai refais des copie de partitions de disque à disque, avec Gparted ces derniers temps.
Avec Gparted sur session live Ubuntu 14.04 .
On peut copier maintenant des partitions plus petites dans des partition plus grandes. Mais pas l'inverse.
Les partitions copiées gardent le même UUID que la partition source.
On peut même copier des partitions qui n'ont pas le même format.
Exemple;
Une partition NTFS de 20 Go. dans une partition de l'autre disque de 50 Go format ext4.
Au final, la partition de 50 Go sera au format NTFS et garde l'UUID de la partition de 20 Go.
Je pense que pour copier correctement la partition système de Windows. Il vaut mieux ne pas chercher à changer la taille de la partition copie sur l'autre disque.
Au démarrage de la partition copiée. Windows va vouloir faire une vérification du disque, qui risque de mal se terminer.
Il faut qu'il reprenne de nouveaux repaires d'espace disque.
Chez moi, la copie sur une partition de même taille, voir dans un espace disque non alloué de taille suffisant pour y recevoir la copie de la partition système Windows, çà marche.
Mais j'ai eu des soucis en voulant changer la taille de la partition qui reçoit la partition copiée.
Pour les partitions de stockage, et les partitions système Linux, çà marche bien.
Une foi toutes les partitions copiées, on réinstalle grub sur l'Os Linux, et c'est reparti sur le nouveau hdd.

J'ai découvert Ubuntu avec la 07.10.... Et alors?!... Depuis je regarde de temps en temps si Windows marche toujours....

Bon j'ai lu la doc de Clonezilla.
Comme mes deux disques dur 3,5" sont des Seagates, j'ai utilisé Discwizard qui est une version déclinée de Acronis ( enfin presque ) et gratuite ( avant avec mes Maxtor il y avait Maxplast ).
J'ai donc copié mon 500 Go sur le 1 To en utilisant la méthode bourrin ( multiplie toutes les partition par un même facteur ).
Au redémarrage, j'avais bien mon Grub avec les choix habituels, Ubuntu et Windows.
En choisissant Windows j'avais un écran qui me disait " error no suc device f0dae3.........appuyer sur une touche " et Windows fonctionnait.
Sous Ubuntu c'était
-gave up waiting for root device Common probleme
- boot args ( cat/proc/cmdline )
- check rootdelay..........
- check root
- missing module ( cat/proc/modules/; ls /dev )
Alert ! /dev/disk/by-uuid/ f0dae..................doesn't exist
.........bref problème de uuid.
Avec Gparted pas moyen de changer les uuid.
J'ai modifié mes partitions en taille ( + petites pour Windows ) puis crée une partition d'échange en NTFS pour Seven et Ubuntu.
Quand je suis allé dans fstab, il n'y avait que 2 lignes
Grosse bétise :j'ai crée une table de partiton.
Depuis, plus rien, HD vide.
J'ai cherché pour récupérer la vieille table..............
Rien ?

Il ne faut pas chercher à changer les UUID comme çà...
Lorsque tu auras accès à nouveau à tes partitions...
En session live, tu passes la commande
sudo blkidÇà va lister les partitions avec leur UUID...
En root, tu vas voir dans le fichier /etc/fstab de l'Os Linux qui fait démarrer ta config, et tu vérifies que les UUID des partitions correspondent bien avec ceux indiqués par blkid.
Si çà ne correspond pas tu changes par les bons...
Il faut ensuite installer/utiliser Boot-Repair, en passant par les Options avancées, pour réinstaller Grub sur l'Os Linux qui démarre la machine, en faisant bien attention de mettre Grub sur le bon hdd...
Si tu veux bien poster un Boot info avant de faire quoi que ce soit, çà facilitera pour te guider.

Dans le post "15 j'étais sur l'écran de Testdisk.
En sélectionnant la première ligne ( >* HPFS - NTFS 0 32 33 11473 131 50 184320000 ) et en tapant p ou P ça ne donne rien, blocage. Même q ou Q ne fonctionnait pas. Sur les lignes en dessous je retrouve tout.
Je n'ose pas faire Enter et selectionner Write pour réecrire ma table. Ca serait bon non ?

Non, le fstab n'est pas LE fichier vital au système.
D'ailleurs il est vide et le système fonctionne quand même.
On mets dans le fstab, les partitions que l'on souhaite voir monter automatiquement au démarrage. Ca ne me rassure qu'à moitié.
Les uuid actuels ne correspondent pas aux uuid initiaux. Comment les changer alors qu'ils ne sont pas présents dans fstab ?

J'ai réussi à rentrer le bon uuid de ma swap dans fstab

Avant ma malheureuse intervention , j'arrivais quand même à aller sur Seven. j'avais le choix apparent du multi bot ( mais seul seven fonctionnait ).
Maintenant il veut que je mette les Cd pour réparer Seven, je n'ai plus le menu du multi boot.
Bon j'ai toujours le live ça me permet de chercher.
Même si je tente un boot-repair, le probléme des mauvais uuid reste.
La commande blkid me retourne

Obligé de m'absenter... De retour.
Dans le dernier Boot info le hdd de 1 To est vu comme vide, pas de partitions dedans...
Donc il n' y avait pas de réparation (réécriture de la table de partitions avec Test-disk) à ce moment là, si j'ai bien compris ...

Bon j'ai sauté le pas, j'arrive à çà.
Suivi du tableau des partitions, il me semble...
