Je confirme que malgré la suppression de bootx64.efi, un dual boot W10 / Ubuntu continue de fonctionner parfaitement. Ci-joint le boot info de la situation créée à l'occasion.

C'est l'entrée Boot0000, démarrage sur disque interne qui est censée utiliser bootx64.efi.

En plus ce type de test n'est valable que pour le firmware utilisé (ici l'émulation de vmware) et ne peut être généralisé à tous les firmwares, chacun d'eux étant une implémentation spécifique et parfois fantaisiste de la norme UEFI.

Rassure-toi, j'ai testé aussi avec W10 en priorité et je suis d'accord pour admettre que ça ne prouve rien.... quoi qu'il en soit, kalunux a raison de dire qu'on est purement dans l'hypothèse en affirmant que bootx64.efi est absolument nécessaire.

Et pour le coup, je ne comprends pas cette remarque :

Ce que nous nous tuons à vous dire malbo et moi c'est que lorsque c'est un disque qui est sélectionné, c'est un démarrage en mode fallback qui est exécuté soit EFI/boot/bootx64.efi (quelle que soit la casse de caractères utilisée).

Ceci indique que l'entrée Boot000 est un démarrage sur disque et non sur un programme efi particulier comme grubx64.efi.
Je t'invite à tester de nouveau en sélectionnant via le menu boot manager de vmware le disque scsi (0,0) et là c'est bootx64.efi qui sera recherché en priorité puis une recherche sera réalisée suivant l'ordre de démarrage système suite à l'échec du lancement de bootx64.efi, à moins que tu n'aies testé ainsi.
Les entrées UEFI essayées s'affichent à l'écran.

Tout le monde est d'accord que nous ne pouvons faire que des hypothèses quant à l'algorithme de démarrage du PC de soujaa.

Dans la description de l'entrée UEFI utilisée par le PC de soujaa je ne vois nulle part de chemin vers un programme de démarrage comme \efi\ubuntu\grubx64.efi ou un autre.

Tout ce que je vois c'est HD(1,800,100000,51433955-6c1f-4c1c-98da-b7ba77cd1ea1) qui indique que le démarrage est effectué sur un disque avec GUID (disk identifier) 51433955-6c1f-4c1c-98da-b7ba77cd1ea1 et rien d'autre, donc potentiellement un démarrage en mode fallback.

Moi je me tue à vous dires, qu'il ne faut pas vous basez sur "efibootmgr" mais sur le Bios smile
Et Merci Ikewdu d'avoir fait ce teste qui confirme que le Micro logiciel UEFI s'en fout du fichier bootx64.efi.

Je pense en effet que la clé de tout ça est dans le bios, et non dans le retour de la commande efibootmgr. Certaines informations y restent inscrites lorsque la partition efi, est modifiée, et même formatée. Il y a donc un espace "inscriptible" au coeur même des bios/uefi J'ai vu hier encore un Asus proposant les entrées Ubuntu et Kubuntu alors que la partition efi avait été nettoyée de toutes les entrées Ubuntu. Les entrées ne conduisaient plus à rien, mais elles étaient bel et bien présentes dans l'options "boot".
