Pertes de données
Bonjour,
Depuis quelques temps, je remarque des pertes de données, des dossiers entiers disparaissent de mon /home/<user>/.
Aujourd'hui, c'est le profil complet de thunderbird qui s'est effacé.
Existe-t-il dans les logs des moyens de retrouver ce qui a pu se passer afin de corriger les problèmes ?

Oh, c'est juste que je regrette Gnome Panel (ou Gnome 2), Gnome-Shell est trop stéréotypé tout en n'étant pas homogène quant à son affichage, pas assez adaptable, trop orienté tactile qui ne sera d'ailleurs jamais sur du tactile... Et surtout, des crashs et messages d'erreurs en permanence.... Une dizaine à chaque démarrage...
Depuis 1 ou 2 mois, je tente Unity que j'avais fuit lors sa sortie en 2009 ou 2010... Quasiment plus de messages d'erreurs, mais depuis quelques jours, des figeages d'écran à chaque démarrage à froid (5 ou 6 redémarrages nécessaires)... Phénomène déjà rencontré avec Gnome-Shell, j'avais ouvert un post à ce sujet. Mais bon une fois démarré, le PC peut tourner 4 ou 5 heures sans le moindre problème, donc je m'adapte.

Bon, ben là, tes dépôts sont propres, tes disques pas surchargés, il n'y a en principe aucune raison pour avoir des problèmes.
Peut-être faut-il faire un test de ton HDD avec smartmontools ?
Que donne un
sudo apt full-update?

Je ne sais pas tout lire là-dedans, mais effectivement ton HDD a des heures de vol.
Cela dit je ne suis pas sûr que ça explique tes disparitions de dossiers (ils devraient plutôt générer des erreurs si c'était le disque).

17.000 heures : il faut comprendre que l'heure du remplacement approche.
3.018 parcages en 17.000 heures ça ne va pas. Ça fait un parcage toutes les 5h40 mn !
Bref un disque qui n'est jamais en veille qu'on ne laisse jamais se reposer dès lors qu'il est sous tension..

Par contre, l'histoire d'un parcage toutes les 5h40, c'est dû à un souci de config, ou juste à l'utilisation qui en est faite ?

Ça veut bien dire qu'il y a précisément un souci !

Le souci est que ce disque, du démarrage du pc à l'extinction du pc, ne se repose jamais !
Jamais aucun parcage en fonctionnement - une valeur correcte est généralement dans la fourchette des 20 à 40 parcages/heure... -

jamais de mise en veille avec arrêt complet du disque. (Ça, c'est un réglage qu'on peut trouver aussi dans certains bios).

- dans ton Ubuntu, quels réglages tu as concernant la "gestion de l'énergie"
- dans ton bios, quels réglages tu as concernant l'APM.

Bonjour,
En ce qui concerne la gestion d'énergie, j'ai "Mettre en veille si inactif depuis : 1 heure".
Par contre je ne trouve rien dans le BIOS faisant référence à l'APM. (Ce n'est pas un portable, c'est lié ?)

Tu pourrais descendre à 20 mn.
Rien sur l'arrêt des disques ?
Par contre je ne trouve rien dans le BIOS faisant référence à l'APM.
Il est possible que sur les pc récents, cette fonction soit nommée autrement ; je vérifie.
(Ce n'est pas un portable, c'est lié ?)

Ok, j'ai passé la veille à 20min.
Rien sur l'arrêt des disques, ou alors je ne suis pas sur la bonne fenêtre.
La deuxième ligne que je n'ai pas indiquée donne ceci : "Afficher le statu de la batterie dans la barre de menu : Jamais"
Et une astuce sur la luminosité et la consommation.

EDIT :Oui j'avais vu mais rien sur l'ACPI non plus, même dans le mode avancé. J'y retourne au cas ou...

Bon, pas d'ACPI dans le BIOS non plus...
Par contre je viens de voir dans le gestionnaire de disque d'Ubuntu, je viens d'activer : Appliquer les paramètres de délai de mise en veille (DMV) en le laissant à 10 minutes
La GAE (Gestion Avancée de l'énergie) est aussi inactive, est ce que je l'active ?
Si oui, sur quel réglage ? Par défaut, c'est curseur au centre : "Arrêt".
Le curseur à gauche, c'est "Économie d'énergie" et à droite, c'est "Performance optimale".
