Dual chanel ?

Bonjour,

Je regarde sur le forum et sur le net et je trouve des indications contradictoires pour mettre les barrettes en dual boot.

Mon frangin a 3 slots sur sa cm avec 2 barrettes (identiques marque taille et vitesse) de 512 pc3200 ddr400, pourtant au prompt le bios indique qu'elles tourent à 333Mhz ??? (Je précise que sa carte mère supporte le dual, j'ai vérifié).

Sur un site j'ai trouvé qu'il fallait mettre A1 et A2 pour être en dual http://www.commentcamarche.net/faq/149-dual-channel-ram et
ici je lis qu'il faut mettre autre chose genre A1 et B1...
Je pige pas là ... Il faut que je les mette sur quels connecteurs ?

D'autre part si je trouve une barrette de 1go ou 512mo en respectant la fréquence, est-ce que je peux faire un dual chanel avec 3 emplacements remplis ? J'ai trouvé cette info : le dual DDR peut quand même fonctionner avec 3 barrettes mémoires 256 + 256 Mo pour un contrôleur et 512 pour le deuxième contrôleur. Soit 1 Go de DDR fonctionnant en dual!
Çà voudrais dire qu'il faudrait que je lui achète une barrette d'1go pour faire du dual ?
Autre question j'ai trouvé une barrette d'1go mais c'est de la pc2700 333mhz. C'est mieux 2go qui tourne à 333 ou 1go à 400 ?

Par un de mes pc j'ai 4 slots avec 4 barrettes identiques en tout point, donc je ne me pose pas la question du dual sauf que je ne vois pas ça dans le terminal...

En principe, ce genre de choses sont décrites dans le mode d'emploi de la carte mère, non ?

Dommage, il manque le retour de la commande "dmidecode".
J'ai vu que tu as fait une tentative, mais tu as oublié d'utiliser "sudo"…

sudo dmidecode

Car c'est ce retour qui va (peut-être…car avec DELL…) nous renseigner sur les possibilités et les composants qui équipent cette carte mère

Bien sûr, tu devrais avoir accès à un manuel spécifique à ton modèle de machine
spécifiant le type et la taille RAM maxi de mémoire que cette carte mère est capable de gérer.

Actuellement, tu as 4 barettes DDR2 PC2-6400 1GB, et toutes les 4 sont de même référence "8HTF12864AY-800G1" => DDR2 PC2-6400 Micron technology

Comme tu as 4 barrettes du même type, qui plus est de la même référence, il y a tout ce qu'il faut pour que le contrôleur de mémoire de ta carte mère puisse gérer ces barrettes en DUAL Channel, et c'est d'ailleurs ce qu'il fait.

(Vu le retour de "dmidecode", tu pourrais même tenter d'y installer 4 barrettes de 4Gb PC2600 => 16GB maxi.)

Pour ce qui est del la machine de ton frère, rien d'étonnant : les contrôleurs pour les processeurs sockets A ne supportent la plupart du temps pas le fsb 400 en dual channel


Mint 17.1 KDE, Antix,  Handy,  Slax, Toutoulinux...
