problème démarrage{résolu}
Bonjour, suite à un bug, j'ai réinstaller Ubuntu 14.10, et l' installation c dérouler sans problème mais quand je fait le redémarrage ça me dit no such partition grub rescue> et j'avoue que je suis complètement perdu, en sachant que je n'ai que Ubuntu, pas de dual boot... pouvez vous m'aider??? D' avance merci

Bonjour,
En réinstallant, tu as juste bousillé "grub". Il te faut le réinstaller depuis une session live : ATTENTION, il s'agit de l'installer sur le disque dur de démarrage, cherche la syntaxe correcte pour la commande "grub-install" avec, peut-être après, une "update-grub" pour réactualiser l'environnement de ta machine.
Plus de 50 ans d'informatique, ça en fait des lignes de commandes en console, mais on n'avait pas le choix...
Excellente raison pour, aujourd'hui qu'on le peut, utiliser au maximum les INTERFACES GRAPHIQUES !

N'oubliez pas de régler votre BIOS pour qu'il amorce sur le disque sdb (160GB) !
Les fichiers de démarrage de [L'OS actuellement utilisé - Ubuntu 14.10] sont loin du début du disque. Votre BIOS pourrait ne pas les détecter. Vous voudrez peut-être re-essayer après avoir créé une partition /boot (EXT4, >200MB, en début de disque). Cela peut être réalisé via des outils tels que gParted. for (,msdos2)/boot/grub.On y voit que sur le disque sdb, le chargeur d'amorçage de Grub pointe vers une partition ",msdos2" sur ce même disque dur. Je suppose que ce chargeur est une relique de ton ancienne install : au moment de l'installation, tu as dû laisser sélectionné "/dev/sda" dans le champ "Périphérique où sera installé le programme de démarrage"(en bas de la fenêtre) alors qu'il aurait fallu sélectionner "/dev/sdb". Du coup, si tu mets en priorité de démarrage dans le Bios le disque dur sdb, ça te donne "no such partition grub rescue>" puisque l'ancienne partition n'existe plus. Il faut donc que tu changes la priorité de démarrage dans le Bios pour la mettre sur le disque sda et là ça va marcher comme on peut voir dans cet extrait du Boot-Info :

set prefix=($root)'/boot/grub'On voit que le chargeur d'amorçage de Grub pointe vers "hd1,msdos5", c'est à dire sdb5 et c'est bien la partition racine de ta nouvelle installation.
Si tu parviens à démarrer Ubuntu en changeant la priorité de démarrage dans le Bios, je te conseille de ne pas laisser comme ça et de réparer ta connerie au moment de l'installation. Le bon endroit pour installer le chargeur d'amorçage de Ubuntu dans une installation classique (non-EFI) , c'est toujours le MBR du même disque dur que la partition racine. Dans ton cas, ta partition racine étant sur sdb, il convient que le chargeur d'amorçage de Grub soit sur sdb. Je t'indiquerai comment faire pour rectifier cela.

Le truc bizarre c que j'ai réinstaller en sélectionnant bien le disque dur sdb mais que ça n'a rien changer et au démarrage quand il me met grub rescue, je lui indique hd0,5 et là ca redemare normal? Mais après je ne sais pas quoi faire? Puis-je modifier grub sans réinstaller Ubuntu?

Il y a des explications dans cette doc : http://www.actual-pc.fr/tuto_bios_boot
Toutefois, la procédure dépend un peu des fabricants donc tu peux avoir quelques différences par rapport aux vues qui sont dans cette doc. Dans la doc de ton ordi, en général c'est expliqué comment changer la priorité de démarrage.
EDIT : donne le nom de ton modèle d'ordi et son fabricant : je pourrai peut-être trouver quelques conseils à te donner.

J'ai plusieurs fois eu ce problème en installant une distribution . lorsque je n'ai plus le grub ,j'installe boot-repair (que tu télécharge ) de plus il te permet. de changer le démarrage
c'est un outils à conserver.

Alors... un petit [Résolu] pour clore ton sujet en modifiant le titre dans ton premier message. 
Plus de 50 ans d'informatique, ça en fait des lignes de commandes en console, mais on n'avait pas le choix...
Excellente raison pour, aujourd'hui qu'on le peut, utiliser au maximum les INTERFACES GRAPHIQUES !
Important : Une fois résolu, pensez à clore votre sujet en ajoutant [Résolu] devant le titre du 1er message, et un bref récapitulatif de la solution à la fin de celui-ci. Merci.

ça m'étonnerait bien que le pb soit réglé. Depuis une session de ton Ubuntu installé, je te prie de passer cette commande dans un terminal :
sudo debconf-show grub-pcet de coller le résultat obtenu dans ta réponse.

La ligne significative est la suivante :
* grub-pc/install_devices: /dev/disk/by-id/ata-HDS728080PLAT20_PFD215E7T2KXXMelle indique que le chargeur d'amorçage de Grub se trouve dans le MBR du disque HDS728080PLAT20, lequel est ton disque dur sda.

en démarrant à 2) MISE A JOUR DE GRUB-PC (en effet, tu as déjà répondu à 1) ÉTAT DES LIEUX AVANT MODIF : c'est ce que tu as collé dans ton post #15)
Arrivé à le 5ème étape, tu verras que "/dev/sda" est coché. Tu laisseras cochée cette case mais tu cocheras en plus la case "/dev/sdb"
Tu feras 3) VÉRIFICATION et tu colleras dans ta réponse le résultat de la commande "sudo debconf-show grub-pc" comme tu l'as fait pour le post #15 de sorte que je puisse vérifier que la réparation a bien été faite. Pour la ligne "grub-pc/install_devices", on devrait voir qu'il y les deux disques durs sda et sdb (au lieu de sda actuellement)
Quel est l'intérêt de tout cela ?
- demain si ton disque dur sda tombe en panne, tu pourras démarrer sur sdb puisque le chargeur d'amorçage dans le MBR de sdb sera opérationnel.
- En cas d'évolution de Grub impliquant une réécriture du chargeur d'amorçage - c'est ce qui peut se produire lors d'une mise à niveau de la distribution - les DEUX chargeurs d'amorçage, celui du MBR de sda et celui du MBR de sdb, seront réécrits et donc à jour.

Le résultat est parfait :
* grub-pc/install_devices: /dev/disk/by-id/ata-HDS728080PLAT20_PFD215E7T2KXXM, /dev/disk/by-id/ata-ST3160021A_3LJ1J7PDA présent que tu as rectifié le tir, tu peux remettre le disque ST3160021A (c'est ton disque sdb) en priorité de démarrage dans la Bios. Quelque soit le disque dur qui est en priorité dans le Bios, Ubuntu démarrera de la même façon mais c'est quand même plus "logique" de mettre la priorité de démarrage sur le disque qui contient la partition racine de Ubuntu, c'est à dire sur le disque ST3160021A.
