1) Sauf si tu veux réinstaller tous les 6 mois,
Tu prends la LTS. C'est la 14.04.1.
2) Choisis Ubuntu ou Kubuntu avant d'installer, c'est beaucoup plus tranquille que de changer de variante après.

En fait, je voulais juste savoir s'il y avait un avantage à installer KDE par-dessus Unity (quitte à supprimer Unity après) sur Ubuntu? J'ai lu que la 15.10 sera peut-être la dernière version de Kubuntu, donc... De plus, cette méthode permettrait peut-être de proficter de KDE 5 sur la 14.04 LTS, ce qui n'est pas le cas avec Kubuntu?

Salut,
Si tu veux raisonner à long terme, l'avenir de kubuntu, donc soutenu par canonical, semble effectivement incertain pour l'instant. On peut néanmoins espérer que le maintien (bugs, sécurité) de kubuntu 14.04.1 sera effectué comme prévu, jusqu'en 2019 donc.
Evidemment, si tu installes 15.04, il faudra impérativement que tu passes à 15.10, puis à 16.04... Cycle normal des versions non LTS... Si 16.04 existe un jour...
En ce qui concerne les bidouillages pour tenter d'avoir le beurre et l'argent du beurre, c'est comme d'habitude : assez souvent on n'a ni l'un ni l'autre en fin de compte...
Moi j'ai bien une solution, mais je risque de me faire appeler Arthur : installe Debian stretch kde...
Pour l'instant : noyau 4.0, kde5
Ça peut encore évoluer, puis d'ici un temps pas encore très défini, ce sera figé (plus de modifications profondes sauf cas de force majeure), puis ça passera en stable en principe début 2017 (en pratique quand ce sera prêt), ça y restera 2 ans, et ça peut encore être maintenu 3 ans de plus... Et alors Debian, c'est de l'horloge suisse...
(tu peux utiliser l'iso net-install, très pratique...)

Je viens de faire l'installation de Kubuntu sur le disque dur convertir en USB (/ 58Go, autre partition 20Go et Swap 2Go).
Le seul problème est que Windows démarre toujours en 1er et le disque dur où Kubuntu a été installé n'est plus détecté ni par le BIOS ni par Windows.
Merci de votre aide.

1) Linux est installé sur sdc, pas sur sda (Windows 7 + une partie vierge)
2) Ma carte-mère est une ASUS Motherboard, la touche de boot est Suppr.
3) J'ai déjà essayé de booter sur l'USB avec mon BIOS.
Quand je connecte la clé USB Live, pas de problème, je peux bien mettre l'USB avant le HDD interne dans l'ordre d'amorçage.
Néanmoins, cela ne se produit pas quand je connecte le boîtier avec le disque dur externe en USB. J'ai uniquement le choix entre le HDD interne et le lecteur de CD-ROM.
Sinon, y a-t-il un moyen de transformer la partition de GPT en MS-DOS?
Au fait, quelle est l'utilité du drapeau Amorçage et ai-je fait une bonne chose?
Enfin ma partition sdc3 sera-t-elle bien une partition de partage des données?
Au fait, je peux peut-être formater en msdos puis faire une install toute neuve?

- éteins le pc,
- débranche la clef (ou carte) live,
- branche le DDE,
- Démarre en tapotant la touche Suppr dès le début.

Oui, c'est même l'issue la plus probable, suivie d'un reformatage et d'une installation neuve.
Attention : il faut, avant de créer la future table de partitions msdos, utiliser l'utilitaire spécialisé gdisk ou bien écrire des zéros sur le début et la fin du DDE.

Merci de votre aide, mais j'ai trouvé une solution: Dans le mode avancé du BIOS, je peux booter sur Initio (mon boîtier contenant le disque dur de 80Go) et cela fonctionne.
Mais je dois refaire cela à chaque fois... pas très très pratique.
J'ai formaté la 3ème partition vierge de sdc en NTFS avec Gparted.

Voici le protocole que je suis:
- Je martèle la touche suppr au démarrage
- Je switche de EZ-Mode à Mode Avancé dans le BIOS
- Je vais dans le tab Démarrage
- Je sélectionne mon Inifio et je reboote.

Ce n'est pas la même chose.
