[Résolu] Freeze répétitifs et aléatoires après installation ?
Bonjour à tous,
Je dispose d'un ordinateur peu récent et j'ai voulu installer Ubuntu en cohabitation avec Windows.
J'ai donc suivi toutes les étapes décrites sur ce site (au passage bravo, c'est très bien expliqué !) mais une fois installé j'ai pu me rendre compte qu'après plusieurs minutes le système gelé... C'est arrivé beaucoup de fois et je me suis dit que ça devait venir de ma configuration, trop peu performante pour Ubuntu. J'ai donc désinstallé la distribution et j'ai installé Lubuntu en pensant que ça serait mieux. Effectivement, c'est beaucoup mieux. Je suis resté plus de deux heures dessus à naviguer pour le découvrir.
Je pensais donc que c'était bon mais non, rebelote, freeze !
Concernant les symptômes :
C'est arrivé plusieurs fois depuis l’installation, parfois 5 minutes après avoir démarrer parfois 1 heure après... Parfois je naviguais simplement dans des dossiers ou regardais une vidéo ou bien encore rien du tout (je suis parti et lorsque je suis revenu l'ordinateur était gelé...)
Cela semble donc totalement aléatoire.
Lorsque ça arrive le curseur ne peux plus être bougé, le clavier ne répond plus, l'image est fixe et le son est en boucle sur une très courte période pendant toute la durée du freeze.
Les freeze durent environ 5 minutes mais ça peux aussi durer seulement 20 sec et tout repart comme si de rien était. Les fenêtres correspondant aux raccourcis pressés pendant le bug s'ouvre (terminal, gestionnaire de tache par exemple) et si je visionnais une vidéo sur youtube celle-ci reprend au même endroit.
Des pistes ?
Etant novice sur Linux je ne sais pas trop quoi faire et quoi chercher et j'espère que quelqu'un pourra m'aider. D'après ce que j'ai lu sur divers topic ici même il est possible que ça vienne de la carte graphique ?

Exclu d'abord un pb de ram, vérifies que le swap n'est pas utilisé.
Sinon la carte graphique est ancienne, je te conseilles d'essayer avec xubuntu qui utilises un autre gestionnaire de fenêtre plutôt robuste.

J'ai fait un MemTest pour vérifier les barrettes de RAM, celui-ci ne renvoi aucune erreur.
Pour ce qui est du swap j'ai ceci en fonctionnement normal :

Modération : merci d'utiliser des images de petite taille (300x300) ou des miniatures pointant sur ces images (Un hébergeur comme Toile Libre le permet).

Mais pour ta RAM à 1 Go :
memory taille: 1019MiBDans la famille *buntu, seule Lubuntu te laissera un peu de fluidité, tu as bien fait de la prendre.

En même temps que tu ai l'impression que ça freeze dés que le swap commence à être utiliser c'est un peu normal, le disque dur c'est moins rapide que la mémoire.
Je te conseilles de racheter de la RAM (alternative : passer au browser lynx;) ),
c'est ce que j'avais fait pour une veille machine, la DDR2 (j'imagine) se trouve pas trop cher (genre dix eus le Go).

J'ai fait un réglage du swapiness comme tu me l'as suggéré Moko138, on verra ce que ça donne.
Merci pour l'info Alca94. Si le problème persiste je m'orienterais vers cette solution. Mais tu ne penses donc pas qu'un changement de pilote de la carte graphique pourrait être bénéfique ? (En supposant qu'il en existe 
)
Acheter de la RAM est en effet une possibilité Jacobus77, car c'est vrai que je suis assez pauvre en RAM sur ce PC !

PCI is supported
Il y a 3 choses différentes
PCI : Le connecteur générique des pc des années 1995-2003 (qui prenait la suite de l'ISA). On y branchait des cartes-son, des cartes usb, des cartes réseau etc.
AGP : connecteur spécifique pour les cartes graphiques.
Plus tard est venu le PCIe ou PCI express, capable de recevoir des cartes variées dont des cartes graphiques de génération nouvelle.
/!\ Le PCI et le PCIe n'ont rien à voir et ne sont pas compatibles.
Par ailleurs le PCIe est dorti après la ram de type DDR.
Or le cas qui nous occupe en est à la ram SDRAM, contemporaine de l'AGP.
Sur le lien grosbill on reconnaît du PCIe et c'est écrit : "PCI Express x16 2.0".
==> Pas compatible ordinosaure.

Concernant les ports sur ma carte mère les voici en image :
Donc j'ai bien 2 ports PCI et 1 port PCI-Express comme tu l'expliquais moko138. Mais par contre j'ai 2 ports DDR2 et non SDRAM visiblement.

Je n'ai pas accès à tes images,qui sont peut-être bien lourdes pour ma pauvre connexion.
Mais s'il est exact que ton pc a un port PCIe et utilise de la DDR2,

Dans un premier temps je vais retourner sous la version 12.04 de Lubuntu voir si le problème persiste. Si ça ne va pas j’achèterais une carte graphique. Mais pour être certain que le problème viens de celle-ci, y'a t-il un moyen de voir en direct ce que la carte graphique calcul ? Je veux dire comment elle gère sa mémoire etc...
Dans l'hypothese où c'est possible, quand le freeze survient je pourrais alors regarder ce qui se passe du coté de la carte. Et voir si tout semble correct ou non...

Je suis passé sous la version 12.04 de Lubunutu et plus de problème. Je considère donc le problème comme réglé.
