Problème ProFTPd en mode passif

Bonjour,

J'ai un problème avec ProFTPd en mode passif. J'espère que vous pourrez m'aider.

Plateforme : Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS "trusty"
Version : ProFTPD 1.3.5
Kernel : 3.14.32-xxxx-std-ipv6-64


Description du problème :

lorsque je fais un

sudo service proftpd restart

proftp ne prends pas en compte la configuration de masquerading et affiche :

*Stopping ftp server proftpd [ OK ]

au lieu d'afficher

La dernière ligne me permettant de visualiser que le serveur à bel et bien pri en compte la configuration de masquerading.

Je me retrouve obligé d'effectuer 2 fois la commande de redémarrage du service a chaque fois pour qu'il prenne correctement en compte mon adresse de masquerading, ce qui est peinible.

Je cherche depuis plusieurs jours sur le web sans trouver de piste de résolution, je suppose qu'il s'agit peut-etre d'une erreur dans mon fichier de conf aussi je vous le joint afin que vous puissiez visualiser ma config :

J'ai trouvé une parade pas très propre mais qui me permet de redémarrer en une seule instruction :

j'ai édité mon bash pour y ajouter une instruction personnalisée pour redémarrer le service

mousepad ~/.bash_aliases

contenant

alias restartftp='sudo service proftpd stop && sleep 10 && sudo service proftpd start' 

le sleep de 10 secondes entre l'instruction stop et l'instruction restart fait que le masquerading est bien pris en compte à chaque fois. mais c'est un peu du bidouillage, si vous trouvez une solution plus propre je prend

Re : Problème ProFTPd en mode passif

Après quelques jours de recherche, ce problème est un bug qui arrive sur certaines machines à base Debian sans que sa prévalence ou ses causes soient réellement identifiable. L'instruction de redémarrage personnalisée incluant un "sleep" reste la seule alternative.

A noter que cela pose problème lors de la rotation des fichiers logs (logrotate), car si les fichiers log sont en cours d'utilisation, logrotate force le "restart" du service proftpd, un restart qui n'est donc pas complet puisque le masquerading n'est alors pas correctement pris en compte. Pour ceux qui seraient confrontés au problème voici la méthode de résolution :

Editer le fichier de configuration

sudo mousepad /etc/init.d/proftpd

Aller au niveau de l’instruction « force-reload|restart) » (ligne 180), ajouter l’instruction « sleep 10 » avant l’instruction « start ».

Lors des logrotate, si besoin de forcer le restart du service, celui-ci redémarrera proprement, cela évitera que votre ProFTPd plante tous les dimanches matins ou tous les débuts de mois.
