Problème installation Ubuntu 14.04

Bonjour à tous,
Je ne sais pas comment intituler ce fil car je suis incapable d'identifier le problème.

J'essaie d'installer Ubuntu sur l'ordi portable d'un ami, mais je rencontre beaucoup de difficultés. L'ordinateur semblait cassé. Il a cessé brutalement de fonctionner du jour au lendemain et lors du démarrage, après qu'apparaissait le logo de la marque (ACER), l'ordinateur cessait 9 fois sur 10 de fonctionner (il s'éteignait automatiquement). S'il ne s'éteignait pas, il restait sur un écran noir sans que Windows ne se lance. J'ai tout de même réussi, je ne sais pas trop comment, à lancer Ubuntu en live avec une clé usb. Mais impossible de l'installer. Le disque dur semblait cassé. J'ai donc changé le disque. Après de multiples essais, j'ai finalement réussi à installer Ubuntu sur le nouveau disque.

Désormais, la situation n'est guère plus encourageante. Neuf fois sur 10, l'ordinateur continue de s'éteindre brutalement après avoir été allumé au bout de cinq à dix secondes, avant même qu'ubuntu ne se charge. Lorsqu'il ne s'éteint pas, après Intel Undi, je vois apparaître la phrase : Client Mac ADDR suivi d'un nombre, puis GUID également suivi d'un nombre. Ensuite, le curseur clignote et tourne sur lui-même. Ensuite, Ubuntu ne semble pas se lancer correctement. J'ai bien un écran violet, mais rien ne se passe...

A un moment, j'ai pu voir écrit : "Proble failed" ou quelque chose comme ça.

J'ai tout de même réussi une fois à lancer Ubuntu. Je lui ai fait faire les mises à jour, mais impossible de le relancer depuis.

Je ne suis pas très précis. Une idée du problème ?

Merci pour ton aide.

Une petite précision : Au démarrage, j'ai vu un message indiquant PXE-MOE je ne sais plus trop quoi... Ensuite, j'ai eu un message de ce type 0.918150 APCI PCC probe failed. Et ensuite, j'ai eu le menu du GRUB. Je ne sais pas pourquoi. J'avais le choix entre Ubuntu, ou options avancées ou autre chose...

Je me demande s'il n'y a pas un problème de surchauffe car le ventilateur tourne toujours à fond les manivelles et lorsque j'essaie de le redémarrer après qu'il a tourné pendant un certain temps, il se coupe automatiquement au démarre et impossible de le redémarrer. Il faut que j'attende au moins dix minutes. Là, je viens de réussir à le redémarrer et Ubuntu semble correctement fonctionner (à ceci près que je n'arrive pas à avoir Ubuntu en français, malgré le fait que j'ai téléchargé les langues).

Effectivement cela peut être un problème mécanique ou un virus au niveau du BIOS. Mais avant d'arriver à ce genre de conclusions il faut éliminer les cas les plus probables.

Un bon dépoussiérage du ventilateur avec changement de pâte thermique ne pourrait pas lui faire de mal (sur certain Acer c'est très accessible)

Je me suis trompé, c'est un Asus. Mais je vais tout de même essayer de nettoyer le ventilateur.

Pour le moment, impossible de lancer Ubuntu. L'ordi reste bloqué sur le premier écran de démarrage (Intel UNDI, PXE-2.1 (build...)...

Et plus précisément sur cette phrase : CLIENT MAC ADDR : ................ GUID............. DHCP. .... Le curseur clignote mais absolument rien ne se passe.

Bon, bon... C'est mal barré !

Bonjour et merci pour toutes ces réponses. Je vais essayer ce soir de modifier le bios. J'ai entièremet réinstallé Ubuntu hier soir. Désormais, il arrive qu'il se lance, même si je n'ai pas le sigle d'Ubuntu au démarrage. J'ai seulement l'écran violet.

Pour le ventilateur, j'ai réussi à le démonter entièrement et à bien le nettoyer. Effectivement, il faut changer les pâtes thermiques, notamment celle du processeur, qui est toute fondue. Comment faire pour retirer les restes de l'ancienne pâte ? Est-ce que je la lasse et cole un patch de la nouvelle par dessus ?

normalement un simple chiffon suffit NE SURTOUT PAS GRATTER AVEC UN OBJET MÉTALIQUE et il faut surtout enlever l'ancienne avant d'en remettre .Un grain de riz sur le processeur et sur le chipset graphique
je préfère la pâte en seringue plutôt que les patch

O.K. Sur le chipset graphique, le patch se décolle très facilement. En revanche, sur le processeur, on dirait que la pâte a fondu. Elle n'a pas l'air de se retirer facilement. J'essaierai de la retirer ce soir avec un chiffon. O.K. pour la pâte en seringue. Je vais essayer d'en trouver aujourd'hui pour faire un essai ce soir !

vous nettoyer fortement avec le chiffon imbibé ,l'important c'est la surface "miroir" du chipset

EDIT= vous pouvez toujours essayer de ramollir le patch avec un sèche-cheveux (ça supporte bien la chaleur moyenne)

Pour les problèmes d'arrêt brusque, c'est beaucoup mieux depuis que j'ai nettoyé le ventilateur. Mais je l'entends toujours tourner à fond. Demain, je vais me procurer de la pâte thermique.

Pour le reste, c'est un peu mieux, mais pas top. Parfois, l'ordi bloque en cours de démarrage sur un écran noir, ou alors me propose le menu du grub, puis bloque après. Là, il a redémarré cinq fois sans problème, mais toujours sans le logo d'ubuntu.

Oui mais les solutions de ce poste n'ont pas fonctionné jusque la.
2 approches :
1) Ce n'est pas essentiel donc laisse tombé ce point
2) Essaie le driver nvidia à la place du driver nouveau

Si, il reste de la pâte thermique. J'en ai pris un bout sur un chipset sur lequel il y avait un gros patch. Mais je vais refaire les pâtes ce soir.

En fait, l'ordinateur ne fonctionne pas vraiment bien. Parfois, il démarre sans problème, parfois (et c'est le plus souvent), il bloque sur le message APCI PCC Probe failed, ou alors me lance le menu du GRUB. Lorsque je sélectionne lancer Ubuntu, Ubuntu ne démarre pas. Bref, l'ordinateur est beaucoup trop capricieux !

Comment faire pour essayer le driver nvdia ? Je n'ai jamais essayé d'utiliser les drivers propriétaires jusqu'à présent. Il y a une doc sur le site ?
