(RESOLU) Firefox & Thunderbird is already running, but...

Bonjour,

je viens d'installer Xubuntu 16.04 (Voyager) sur mon nouveau netbook et comme à chaque (ré)installation depuis des années j'ai copié/collé les dossiers ".mozilla" et ".thunderbird", mais cette fois, impossible de démarrer les 2 applications, le message affichant "Firefox is already running, but is not responding..."

Or :
1) redémarrer ne change rien
2) ils n'apparaissent pas dans le gestionnaire/moniteur de tâches
3) la commande "firefox -safe-mode" donne le même message ""Firefox is already running, but is not responding..."
4) j'ai éliminé tous les fichiers "lock" et ".parentlock" de ces 2 dossiers

5) seul fonctionne la suppression du fichiers ".ini", mais alors je perds tout !!!

je suppose q le problème vient donc de ce fichier, mais les infos qu'il contient me semblent tout à fait correctes :

Il y a bien un dossier "hv78x2w1.default"

quelqu'un pourrait-il m'aider ?

Il y a probablement dans chaque profil ( Firefox et Thunderbird ) un fichier .parentlock → à supprimer.

Bon. Les profils importés depuis l'ancienne installation appartiennent-ils bien au nouvel utilisateur du nouveau système ?

oui, j'utilise toujours le même nom d'utilisateur
ce qui me surprend, c'est q j'ai fait cette opération des dizaines de fois au cours des années, et je vois pas ce qui peut avoir changé...
peut-être y a-t-il eu un problème lors de du copiage de ces dossiers sur ma clef USB, et donc forcément problème lors du copiage depuis cette clef...
je vais retenter l'install totale après vérification de la clef...

Cela dit tu vois bien que rien ne t'appartient là-dedans ( root:root ) alors tout devrait t'appartenir ( fael:fael ) ;-)

Donc un petit

sudo chown -R fael:fael ~/.mozilla

devrait régler ton problème.

La même blague avec Thunderbird, et même solution :

sudo chown -R fael:fael ~/.thunderbird

reste à savoir d'où vient le problème

Tu as utilisé une clé usb pour transférer les données, quel était son système de fichiers, son formatage ? Et comment as-tu réalisé les copies ( des lignes de commandes ? Via l'explorateur de fichiers ? En utilisateur normal ou en super utilisateur ? )
