[Résolu] Suite MAJ driver NVIDIA, je n'accède plus à ma session.
Bonjour.
Hier ou avant-hier, j'ai vu passer une MAJ des drivers NVIDIA lors de la MAJ journalière de l'ordi.
Ayant aussi une CG Intel sur l'ordi, j'étais dessus via PRIME donc aucun impact visible à ce moment là.
Ce soir, pour jouer à un jeu sur Steam, je bascule via nvidia-setting sur la CG NVIDIA.
Je redémarre l'ordi pour relancer le serveur d'affichage sur la CG NVIDIA.
Et là rien, je n'atteint même pas la page de log de ma session.
Je vais faire un tour dans le recovery mode mais même le mode graphique sans échec ne veut rien savoir.
Un choix me permet de lire le log du serveur d'affichage dans lequel je peux lire un paquet de ligne me semblant indiquer une erreur lors du chargement des drivers NVIDIA.
J'ai essayé - je pense - toutes les options du recovery mode dans l'espoir de redémarrer sur la CG Intel mais rien à faire.
Je signale que le BIOS ne me donne aucune possibilité non plus de ce côté là.
Étant encore loin d'être un king sur Ubuntu, y aurait-il une âme charitable qui souhaiterai me dépanner ou m'orienter dans la résolution de mon problèmes ?

nam les infos sur les dépôts sont disponibles dans bisnext première section
Hardware and System Summary > Repos
la procédure dont tu donnes le lien purge le pilote nvidia, la commande qui commence par echo nouveau... il ne faut pas l'utilser, ça force le chargement du pilote nouveau par le noyau, et si tu réinstalles le pilote nvidia ça va être en conflit.

Oui, mais les infos dans bisnext ne sont pas extensives, j'aime bien voir tout le sources.list et être certain que les PPA sont vides)
Sinon, la procédure en question, je l'ai utilisée de nombreuses fois quand j'étais aventureux avec les pilotes, elle est réversible
Et elle fonctionne : ici le premier objectif est de redonner un accès graphique à Nine Tails Fox avant que d'analyser le pourquoi et de trouver la solution pérenne, non ?

Oui mais n'utilise pas la commande echo nouveau... ça sert à rien et ça fait conflit après, même si ça marche c'est vraiment pas une bonne idée que le système constate un conflit de pilote et s'en débrouille.

Mais ça sert à rien nam, c'est pas son problème les dépôts et c'est une session Live !
Nine Tails Fox pour la procédure il faut que tu la fasses après avoir démarré en mode recovery, c'était pas précisé. Et pour remonter la partition en lecture écriture il faut au préalable exécuter cette commande au terminal :
sudo mount -o remount,rw /

C'est ce que j'allais dire, sans passer par le mode recovery, ça marche moins bien ^^
J'ai fait la manip, je peux accéder à nouveau à ma session. Je suis actuellement sur la CG Nvidia et c'est le driver Nouveau qui est activé pour la CG Nvidia.
Je viens juste de finir d'installer le driver Nvidia 375.66 et je vais maintenant tester de repasser sur la CG Nvidia à l'aide de Prime pour valider tout ça.
Edit : bon, ben ça à l'air de fonctionner sans problème, je suis sur la CG Nvidia avec le dernier driver à jour d'activé et ma session est OK niveau graphique.

Je sais que c'est moi qui les ai installé pour régler des problèmes (je ne saurais même plus dire lesquels mais y en a pas des tonnes) après recherche ou pour installer des logiciels qui n'étais pas présent sur la Logithèque.
De là à me souvenirs de tous à quoi ils servent exactement, je dois t'avouer que non, pas tous. Surtout ceux dont le nom n'est pas explicite.
Ca fait plusieurs fois que je me dis que ça serais bien de noter tout ce que j'ajoute avec le lien vers la page où je l'ai pris et l'explication du pourquoi du comment mais la flemme je pense à chaque fois.
Après il peut aussi arriver que dès fois, certaines manip que je test me font installer un ppa qui au final ne donne rien. Et il m'arrive donc de ne pas forcément le désinstaller, ce qui n'est pas bien, j'en suis conscient.
Je fais une réinstallation propre de Linux en version LTS et du Home environ une fois pas an*.
A ce moment là, si je ne rencontre plus les problèmes, tant mieux, plus besoin de magouiller pour le régler.
Et les ppa à rajouter pour certains logiciels absents, ben ça je ne peux pas y couper.
Mais pareil, je ne pourrais pas trop donner d'exemple comme ça. J'installe et j'oublie un peu vite. Et a chaque réinstall, je re-découvre presque qu'il y a des manips à faire en plus.
*A l'aide de ton super tuto pour optimiser et finaliser l'installation d'ailleurs. Je te remercie pour tout ce travail d'ailleurs, ça centralise plein de petites chose à faire pour avoir une session qui tourne au poil. Je ne me souviens même plus si je suis inscrit ou pas sur ton site d'ailleurs.

Il me semble que celui la c'est un de ceux que j'ai installé mais qui ne faisais rien en faite, que j'aurais du virer mais que je n'ai pas fais.
Il n’apparaît pas en graphique dans la liste des ppa de la fenêtre Logiciels&Mises à jours.
Et je n'arrive pas à le virer d'ailleurs :

Non, pas au courant.
J'ai du installer ça pour essayer de résoudre un problème multimédia, depuis une page doc.ubuntu-fr.org et ça n'avais pas marché, vu que ce n'est pas pour la bonne version d'ubuntu.
J'ai sûrement du réussir à le résoudre autrement, sinon je pense que je m'en souviendrais ^^
Mais ça va me pousser un peu plus à tenir un journal de mes actions à ma prochaine ré-installation complète, histoire de mieux suivre ce que je fais.

Ah tiens, sympa cette commande, je ne connaissais pas.
Donc finalement j'avais un soucis avec gstreamer et j'ai suivis cette page pour le résoudre : https://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/gstreamer
A la fin du paragraphe 2.3, il est indiqué le pourquoi j'ai installé ce ppa qui contient trusty dans son petit nom.
