[Résolu] Impossible de se connecter à Internet (Ubuntu 16.04 LTS).

Bonjour,

Je suis nouveau sur Ubuntu et j'aurais besoin d'assistance.
Suite à un disque dur mort, j'ai décidé d'en racheter un et de migrer sur Ubuntu.  J'ai téléchargé la version 16.04LTS. Tout s'est bien passé sauf.. qu'il est impossible de me connecter à internet avec un câble éthernet. Je n'ai pas de carte WiFi sur l'ordinateur. Mais un autre ordinateur sous Windows se connecte en WiFi sur ma box sans problème.

J'ai fouillé les forums en Français et en anglais avant de poster ici. Je me suis aperçu que ma carte realtek nécessitait un firmware que j'ai téléchargé. Mais rien du tout. Lorsque j'utilise la commande nmcli g ça me met : Etat : déconnecté - Connectivité Aucun. Avec nmcli d le périphérique enp3sO type éthernet est indisponible.

Avec Ifconfig je trouve :

Pour ce qui est de cat /etc/network/interfaces:

Plus étrange, j'ai testé :

sudo dhclent et sudo dhclent enp3s0

et là... ça ne répond pas pendant plusieurs minutes puis ça se "connecte". Je mets des guillemets car si pour la première fois je vois Etat connecté et que les flèches haut/bas apparaissent en haut à droite de l'écran, lorsque j'ouvre Firefox, rien ne se passe sauf l'éternel message d'erreur. Si je reboot, ça revient à l'état précédent, sans connexion...

Si vous avez une idée, je suis preneur :)

Il semble que ton système doive être mis à jour pour que l'ethernet fonctionne.

Comme tu as une connexion wifi, fait ce qui suit :

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install r8168-dkms

Pour mettre tout ton système à jour :

sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Tu vas supprimer le paquet qui ne passe pas :

sudo apt-get remove r8168-dkms

Ensuite mets à jour ton système :

sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

J'ai parcouru le lien de bug sur le launchpad ainsi que le forum à propos de "RTL8111/8168/8411".

Les noyaux après la version 4.4 ne sont pas compatibles avec l'ajout du module r8168-dkms.

Il te faut donc installer la version 16.04.1 LTS. La même version en Torrent, si tu préfère.

Teste la version en live, sur ton PC, avant d'installer.

J'avais aussi déjà vu d'autres messages sur le sujet mais rien ne m'avait fait avancer, et un certain nombre semblaient incompréhensibles...

Du coup, ça veut dire que c'est un problème lié à la carte réseau dont les pilotes sont incompatibles avec les dernières versions d'Ubuntu pour une connexion filaire ?
Si j'installe la version 16.04.1LTS et que ça fonctionne, est ce que ça voudra dire que je ne pourrai plus faire de mises à jour sur les prochaines versions car ça ne marchera probablement pas ?

J'essaye vite !

Si tu installes cette version, le système restera avec la version de noyau 4.4.xxxxx. Le système ne te proposera que ces versions la jusqu'en avril 2021.

Passé cette date, il faudra voir quoi faire. Mais les choses auront bien évolué entre temps...

Un truc étrange : un ami m'a donné un câble pour connecter ma box à mon ordinateur en USB et... ça fonctionne. Bien moins vite qu'en WiFi ou Ethernet mais bizarrement ça marche. J'avais testé un autre câble Ethernet au cas où mais ça ne marchait pas non plus. Du coup, plutôt que modifier ma version d'Ubuntu (j'ai un peu peur de tout perdre et de passer trois heures à tout refaire), je vais peut-être rester sur celle-ci.

Mais comment ça se fait qu'un câble USB puisse fonctionner et pas un câble éthernet ?

Le système reconnaît lorsque le câble USB est utilisé comme câble réseau. Un pilote spécifique est chargé. Il m'est arrivé de l'utiliser lorsqu'il n'y a pas de pilote pour les composants wifi et ethernet.

Avec le câble USB tu ne passe pas par ta carte ethernet.

Je comprends mieux. Au pire, peut-être que d'ici quelques temps, j'essaierai de changer de carte réseau et d'en prendre une avec des pilotes libres, ça m'ennuie d'être limité à des versions antérieures d'Ubuntu. Pour le moment je me contenterai du WiFi et USB.

Les questions :
- Vu que, si j'ai bien compris ce que j'ai fait auparavant, j'ai supprimé le module 8168-dkms, faut-il que je le réinstalle ?
- Ce n'est pas problématique que j'ai le noyau de la version 17.04 sans avoir la version 17.04 installée ?

Le problème c'est que je n'ai pas ce fichier dans mon système. Je peux donc le créer mais pas l'éditer. Du coup, ça commence plutôt mal, surtout si je suis supposé l'avoir...

Pour le howtoinstall, de manière assez logique, j'ai toujours la même erreur de noyau dont avait parlé Inbox :

Je pense me passer d'Ethernet pour pouvoir rester sur les versions plus récentes d'Ubuntu.
Et, si c'est lié à la carte réseau et qu'un jour j'ai besoin d'une connexion plus rapide, je changerai de carte pour en prendre une avec des pilotes libres. Je dois pouvoir trouver ça pour un prix très abordable et c'est simple à changer.

Bon, je vais peut-être passer pour un idiot mais finalement ça marche. J'ai juste désactivé le mode routeur dans les paramètres de la freebox et depuis ça fonctionne avec un câble Ethernet...
Quand j'aurai le temps, j'essaierai de me mettre à tout ça parce que je ne comprends pas !
