Bon, alors essaie de connecter ton scanner à ton réseau wi-fi et fais un essai avec Simple Scan pour vérifier s'il le voit dans les préférences (normalement, il doit voir deux scanners différents, un pour chaque type de connexion). C'est fort probable que ce ne soit pas le cas, je crois qu'il y a une manip à faire pour déclarer un scanner réseau mais fais quand même un essai le temps que je retrouve ça.

EDIT : il faudra commencer par voir s'il est détecté en scanner réseau avec :

brsaneconfig3 -d

A priori IPv4. C'est seulement quand il sera connecté que tu devras me donner le retour de la commande brsaneconfig3 -d. Et tu la lanceras dans un nouveau terminal, parce qu'il y a toujours la variable pour afficher les infos de debug de scanimage, ça donne un peu trop d'infos pour s'y retrouver.

EDIT : en fait, la commande, c'est surtout pour avoir l'IP de ton scanner. Si tu peux l'avoir autrement, tu peux la donner directement.

(Et je vais arrêter là pour ce soir.)

Alors : j'ai lu la doc et tenté quelques manip directement sur l'appareil mais je t'avoue que je suis largué.

L'imprimante n'apparaît pas dans le menu paramètres/imprimantes/imprimante réseau ; son adresse IP est 000.000.000.000... Pour obtenir la bonne adresse, j'ai apparemment besoin d'un câble ethernet qui est actuellement enfoui dans un carton (car je déménage incessamment). Bref, tout ceci plus nos précédentes tentatives me découragent un peu malgré tes conseils avisés smile

Est-ce que tu as pu connecter l'imprimante à ton réseau wi-fi (choisir le réseau, entrer le mot de passe) ? Si c'est le cas, tu peux relancer la commande brsaneconfig3 -d, il devrait y avoir son adresse IP quelque part dans le retour. Ça m'étonne un peu qu'il y ait besoin de la connecter en ethernet pour régler ça. En tout cas, ça coûte rien de vérifier.

j'ai retrouvé mon câble ethernet !
Je ne crois pas avoir réussi à connecter le scanner au réseau (comment le vérifier ?). Je suis allé sur le site Brother qui indique l'adresse IP par défaut de leurs appareils (192.0.0.192). J'ai donc entré cette adresse dans le scanner.
J'ai suivi cette doc : https://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/tutoriel/util … _en_reseau ; sans beaucoup de succès.

Il voit toujours ton scanner USB mais rien comme scanner réseau. Je suppose que sur l'imprimante / scanner, tu as une manip pour choisir le réseau wi-fi sur lequel te connecter, non ? Cela dit, en ethernet, ça devrait fonctionner directement. Tu es derrière une box de FAI, je suppose ? elle est bien configurée en mode routeur ?
