En l'état, ton Ubuntu installé sur le disque dur ne peut pas démarrer parce que la partition EFI (sda1) a son système de fichiers qui est cassé (on voit "unknown filesystem type" dans le Boot-Info).

Je te propose de booter avec ton support d'installation, de lancer le parted et de reformater la partition SDA1 en FAT32 puis d'y remettre un drapeau/un fag ESP et de lancer la réparation recommandée de boot-repair dont tu nous fourniras le compte-rendu.
Je ne sais pas comment cette partition a pu se retrouver en si mauvais état.

Tu choisis "essayer avant d'installer"
Tu lances l'application gparted
Tu formates comme je te le propose
Tu reinstalles l'application boot - repair

C'est fait et ça fonctionne toujours pas : j'ai redémarré, on m'a proposé le menu principal (installe, essaye sans installer), j'ai vidé le disque et installé Ubuntu, j'ai éteint, j'ai enlevé la clé USB, j'ai allumé et ça me dit que "the selected boot device failed".

Peut-tu regarder dans ton bios si tu as le moyen de booter en mode legacy, si oui, tu modifies le bios pour refaire une installation legacy, Tu devras fabriquer une partition bios boot de taille de 1Mo avec le gparted à la place de la partition sda1 https://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/gpt#creer_une … _bios-boot et de nouveau lancer boot-repair

Si le legacy support est activé,
tu bootes avec ton support d'installation,
tu choisis essayer avant d'installer.
tu lances gparted
tu te positionnes sur la grosse partition.
tu la rétrécis de 1 Mo.
tu fabriques une partition bios boot
tu relances boot-repair pour réparer de nouveau.

Si tu as bien lu mon poste 32 tu aurais du lire
Une partition BIOS-Boot peut être créée via une version récente de gParted, et doit posséder les caractéristiques suivantes:
Point de montage : <aucun>
Taille : 1 Mo
Type : aucun (non formaté)
doit posséder un drapeau bios_grub
c'est la présence de ce drapeau qui fait que c'est une partition bios-boot

Ne disposant pas des résultats complets des commandes, je ne peux que faire des suppositions :
Le premier résultat indique que le disque (sda ?) n'a qu'une partition en fat32 et ne contient pas grub-pc
Le deuxième résultat indique que le disque (sdb ?) a une table des partitions gpt et ne contient pas de grub-pc non plus.
Je peux supposer que sda est la clé usb et sdb le disque dur.
Précédemment on t'a suggéré de créer une partition bios_boot pour démarrer en mode legacy sur disque gpt. Pour que cela soit possible il faut que grub-pc soit installé dans le mbr du disque et core.img sera placé dans la partition bios_boot. Cette partition est nécessaire car lorsque l'on a un partitonnement msdos grub est dans le mbr et core.img est placé dans l'espace entre le mbr et la première partition (core.img commence à la LBA=1). Or avec un partitionnement gpt cet emplacement est occupé par les en-têtes gpt et les tables des partitions et n'est plus disponible, d'où la création d'un espace réservé par la partition bios_boot.
