berguem

pb dual boot vista/ubuntu7.10

je suis débutant sur linux, et j'ai commencé par ubuntu7.10. je l'ai installé sur ma becane, il ya 3 semaines, le pb que depuis que je lai installé, j'ai plu accès à vista(deja intallé sur une partie de mon disque dur, ce denier est réparti en 3, vista (29.3 go), libre (29.3 go) et libre( le reste de 80 go).).
pour installr ubuntu j'ai tenté 2 fois et la troisième ca marchait et je suis sur que j'ai pas touché vista parcequ'il y est tjr sur mon disque dur.
au demarrage je trouve pas vista et aprés un long travail j'ai commencé à l'avoir au demarrage mais je sais pas quoi mettre dans

HD0,0 me semble correcte...
Il existe un Totu complet sur Grub

Salut

si j'ai bien compris t'as vista dans ton grub (qui a l'air correct) mais il ne démarre pas. Il te met un message d'erreur ?

Sinon la doc pour régler le problème du ntfs vista est ici

j'ai essayé le (hd0,0) et voila ce que m'a donné aprés que j'ai selectionné vista au demarrage: error13 invalide or unsupportable executable format.

j'ai essayé aussi 1,5,6 et voilà le résultat: error12 invalide device requested.

non, c'est bien hd0,0... c'est Vista qui à perdue "ses petits"... ou Grub smile

je ne suis pas trés doué en anglais mais si j'ai bien compris, le forum parle de 2 disque durs alors que moi j'ai qu'un disque dur et je ne sais pas ou  se trouve vista
exactement ( sur ql partition).

D'après ce que tu dis, Vista est sur une partition de 29,3Go, or d'après ton fdisk -l, la seule partition qui se rapproche de cette taille est /dev/sda5.

As-tu essayé (hd0,4) dans Grub pour voir si cela fonctionnnait? (par ailleurs ton erreur avec (hd0,0) semble dire que cette dernière n'est pas bootable).

Pour le HD, ça peut-etre le 00,01,03,04 (hd0,0;hd0,1;hd0,3;hd0,4)
