Cependant, il peut arriver qu'une livraison  d'un nouveau noyau résolve le problème

Je connais des cas, où il faut un certain temps pour que l'ordinateur mette en route où se termine.

Quelque fois, cela aide beaucoup pour les cas où il dit qu'il attend  1 minute 30 seconde avant de tuer une tache qui ne veut pas se finir et encore une autre  pour le même temps ou qu'il dit qu'il est en train d'installer des mises à jours importantes.

On n'a pas encore trouvé d'explication car ce n'est pas facile de collecter..


Tu devrais déjà attendre 10 minutes avant d'agir.

Bonjour Geole, certainement pas! Ce n'est pas parce que je remercie ceux qui bossent pour trouver une solution que je n'ai pas envie de poursuivre la recherche, et j'espère bien qu'on trouvera la solution.
Il me semble avoir essayé ta procédure et que ça n'a rien donné, à moins que je n'ai pas fait ce qu'il fallait. Faut pas oublier que pour moi on est souvent à la limite du latin et du chinois, et qu'il faut me donner une marche à suivre précise pour que je manipule sans erreur.
Le temps d'attente, 1mn30, 10 mn, ou toute la nuit, j'ai évidemment tout essayé sans résultat.
Par exemple

il peut arriver qu'une livraison  d'un nouveau noyau résolve le problème

moi je ne sais ,pas ce que ça veut dire...

Le dernier noyau sorti est le 5.0.0.38 > linux-headers-generic.

J'ai le souvenir d'avoir vu une discussion un peu semblable sur un problème d'hibernation.
Pas de solution  n'avait été trouvée. Un jour, l'utilisateur a fermé la discussion en disant que le nouveau noyau qui venait de s'installer automatiquement avait résolu le problème.

Pour les optiions,  avec ton éditeur de fichier favori,   fait la commande suivante
Soit   

sudo nano /etc/default/grub

Soit 

gedit admin:///etc/default/grub

Vers la neuvième ligne, tu trouveras une ligne ressemblant à cela
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash  Options déjà ajoutées par l'utilisateur$VTOFF=7"

Tu remplaces les deux mots  quiet splash par ces mots  loglevel=7 systemd.log_level=debug
Tu sauvegardes le fichier et tu quittes l'éditeur.
Tu vérifies que la modification est bien faite en lisant le résultat

cat /etc/default/grub

Tu demandes à ubuntu de prendre en compte ta modification avec cette commande

sudo update-grub

Ce n'est qu'au boot suivant et à l'arrêt suivant que cela causera.

Bien entendu, si cela n'apporte rien de concret, on peut revenir en arrière en faisant le remplacement inverse.

D'autre part, il m'a semblé que le journal moderne ne conserve trace que de la session en cours. Afin de faire le point, peux-tu donner le retour de ces commandes permettant de voir le nombre de fichiers ainsi que le paramétrage

ls -Rls /var/log/journal
 cat /etc/systemd/journald.conf

que je te propose déjà de modifier pour ne pas dépasser 1 Go de taille globale, pas plus de 15 jours de suivi et pas plus de 10 fichiers avec cette commande

sudo journalctl --vacuum-size=1G  --vacuum-time=15d --vacuum-files=10

NOTA. J'ai mémorisé cette remarque

C'est lorsque cela va se terminer qu'il est intéressant de voir son bavardage....


Lorsque la journalisation conserve ses journaux, il est alors facile de voir comment le boot-précédant s'est terminé. Par exemple avec cette commande

journalctl --no-pager --boot=-1|  tail -100

Comme tu as un journal qui date du  6 Janvier à 18:24, Tu devrais essayer la commande ci-dessus sans avoir besoin de modifier le paramétrage.

Je découvre le paramétrage, je peux donc mal interpréter
Voici ce que je lis

Je crois comprendre qu'en tout c'est  limité en 100 fichiers   quelque que soit la taille obtenue

Pour le journal de la session actuelle -certainement  pour les machines 24 heures sur 24-, il semble ne pas y avoir de limite, Je n'ai pas cherché de commande permettant la mise à jour de ces paramètres.

Il y a un truc qui me chiffonne : un problème d'hibernation est-il envisageable ? Il me semble qu'une option dans un fichier conf (relatif à mkinitcpio ? ou initramfs?) empêcherait le recours à l'hibernation et les problèmes qui seraient liés (recherche prolongée de la swap au boot et à la fermeture, par exemple. Je vais voir si je retrouve des précisions sur cette piste.
