[Résolu] AMD Radeon sur Lenovo Ideapad 330 (application : Blender)

Bonjour,

J'ai un portable Lenovo Ideapad 330, dans une série comportant une carte graphique "Radeon" (attesté par l'étiquette "Radeon Graphics" à côté de mon TouchPad). Pour le descriptif, cf. au besoin le lien ci-avant : il s'agit d'une carte AMD Radeon 530.

Comme je voulais configurer Blender, je me suis rendu compte que je ne pouvais pas paramétrer correctement le rendu par GPU. En poussant l'investigation, j'ai repéré que, dans les paramètres de Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, onglet "A propos", ma carte graphique apparaissait comme "Intel® UHD Graphics 620 (Kabylake GT2)".

Du coup, je me pose deux questions :
1/ A quel moment la carte graphique a-t-elle été identifiée comme telle (je suppose à l'installation de Ubuntu ?), et pourquoi cette mauvaise identification ?
2/ Y a-t-il quelque chose que je puisse faire pour que la carte soit bien identifiée, et ai-je ensuite besoin d'installer des drivers ?

... mais je ne suis pas à même de dire si c'est ou non le bon modèle. Selon la facture, l'ordinateur est un "Ideapad 330-17IKBR", mais le modèle de la carte Wifi n'est pas indiqué. Lorsque je cherche en ligne, je trouve ce lien chez Lenovo : la référence de la carte Wifi n'est pas précisée. Bref, si c'est trop complexe, pas de soucis pour se recentrer sur la carte graphique.

Sauf erreur de ma part, la carte n'est pas une Intel. Cf. le premier post : si j'en crois l'autocollant près du TouchPad comme le site de Linux-Shop, c'est une (AMD) "Radeon Graphics". Et c'est bien ça qui me chagrine vis-à-vis de la configuration de Blender (cf. le premier post toujours).

Merci pour le lien vers l'autre post : je vais tenter de comprendre comment je dois mettre en pratique pour appliquer à mon cas. Je dois dire que "grub" ne me parle pas du tout.
... et pour le Wifi, je vois dans un second temps : je risque de revenir t'embêter dans une autre section du forum !

J'ai tenté d'aller voir ce qui relève du nomodeset dans le grub, conformément au post indiqué. Quand je regarde le fichier /etc/default/grub, j'ai du "quiet splash" :

Et ça se confirme quand je fais la manip (Echap au démarrage, puis "e" une fois dans le grub), où apparaît une ligne du type :

où on peut noter :
- que le noyau apparaît comme "generic", ce qui répond peut-être à la question précédente ;
- que la partie entre parenthèse n'est pas ce qui apparaît (je n'ai pas relevé le supposé code hexadécimal, je peux le faire si nécessaire) ;
- qu'il y a deux espaces entre "ro" et "quiet splash".

1/ J'avais suivi les recommandations de Linux Shop (vendeur de l'ordinateur), à savoir installer Ukuu et mettre à jour avec des noyaux plus récents. J'ai donné suite à la recommandation de Xubu1957 pour me retrouver avec ce que je pense être le dernier noyau issu de la table officielle fléchant "amd64 i386", à savoir la v5.0.0. Je serais d'avis de tester avec un noyau 5.3, de la version 18.04.4 LTS.

Tu peux donner

cat /proc/cmdline

pour savoir si nomodeset est passé.

Ensuite il faudrait repasser sur les noyaux officiels, donc ne plus passer par ukuu. Je serais plutôt d'avis de repasser sur les noyaux 4.15 vu qu'ils sont installés. Il faudra pour cela dans le menu grub choisir options avancées et prendre le noyau 4.15 le plus récent et sans upstart ni recovery.

As tu passé

sudo update-grub

après avoir modifié /etc/default/grub?

Tu as la partie graphique du processeur et à côté une puce graphique amd radeon

Si je comprends bien, il n'y a pas de "nomodeset".

Pour le noyau : non, je n'ai pas lancé la commande. J'ai désinstallé la version 5.1.6 (me semble-t-il) après avoir installé la version 5.0.0, et me suis assuré que ça redémarrait bien sur celle-ci. Pas de soucis pour repasser sur une autre version via le grub : y a-t-il aussi une modification à faire dans le fichier "/etc/default/grub" ? Jusqu'ici je n'en ai pas effectué.

... j'ai redémarré avec la version 4.15.0.88-generic (identifiée sous Ukuu comme 4.15.0-88.88) : dois-je faire quelque chose pour "stabiliser", de type mettre à jour des paquets et/ou passer une commande comme la suivante ?

sudo update-grub

En outre, quand on ne passe pas par Ukuu, quel est le procédé pour faire de telles mises à jour ? (je diverge un peu du sujet, mais ça me sera utile à l'occasion)

Le processeur contient une partie graphique qui s'appelle UHD Graphics 620 et qui s'occupe de l'affichage actuellement, cela consomme moins que la puce amd radeon.
La puce graphique amd radeon sert en fait lorsque tu veux par exemple jouer, tu auras besoin de plus de puissance, cette puce graphique devrait alors être utilisée.
Ok pour /etc/default/grub, je croyais que tu avais enlevé nomodeset.

Tu peux passer

DRI_PRIME=1 glxinfo | grep vendor

Pas besoin de passer

sudo update-grub

du coup

Les mises à jour du noyau se font avec les autres mises à jour en fait

DRI_PRIME=1 glxinfo | grep vendor a pour but d'essayer d'utiliser la puce amd radeon.

Lorsqu'on modifie le fichier /etc/default/grub, il faut passer sudo update-grub après pour prendre les modifications en compte.

C'est pas ce que j'attendais.
Tu peux donner

uname -r

que je sache quel noyau tu utilises actuellement
