Voici ce que contiennent les fichiers :

menu.list --> MAXIMVS

menu.lst.backup --> See : grub(8), info grub, update-grub(8)
                      grub-install(8), grub-floppy(8),
                       grub-md5-crypt, /usr/share/doc/grub
                       and  /usr/share/doc/grub-doc/.   et des explications en anglais

Je me rends compte que "MAXIMVS" se trouvant dans le premier fichier avait été tapé lorsque j'avais installé le thème GTK (voir post #1).

arf plus simple

sudo umount -a
sudo mount /dev/sda2 /mnt
sudo cp /mnt/grub/menu.lst.backup /mnt/menu.lst

redémarre

Il faudrait copier coller le contenu du fichier backup en entier

Tu es un génie ! Donne-moi ton adresse postale pour que je puisse t'envoyer une boîte de chocolats !

A chaque démarrage, le grub loading est un peu long et débouche sur une fenêtre fond noir dans laquelle je dois choisir :

Ubuntu
Ubuntu (recovery mode)
Ubuntu

Etant donné que j'arrive à démarrer sans liveCD, voici ce que me retourne l'instruction :
