J'ai eu ce même problème de réso' mais avec les efets 3D

J'ai réglé ca en ajoutant

SubSection "Display"
		Modes   "1280x1024"

A la section Screen.

Adapte ca a ta résolution.
Et t'auras une bonne résolution AVEC le driver

Si ce qu'est indiqué plus haut ne fonctionne pas

Virtual	1400	1050

Dans la même Sub-section, en retirant ou en complément de Modes

Désolé chewbacca j'ai abandonné le projet quelques temps et comme un bon lâche, je suis passé sous vista. Ca n'auras pas duré longtemps, parceque passe de linux à windows est selon moi encore moins aisé que l'inverse !! Donc je suis de retour, et je vais régler ce problème une fois pour toutes.

Je fait une upgrade (update-manager -d) pour voir la RC si elle règle quelques problèmes due à ma chrome9 hc, et si non, je reviens tester ta solution.

Je tiens quand même à te remercier de l'aide que tu as apporté à tout ces malheureux possesseurs de la chrome9 !

PS : Avez vous testé la RC de Intrepid ? Avez vous un feed-back à propos de la compatibilité de votre carte graphique ? Parait-il que ce bug était signalé et supposement réglé pour le prochain noyau...

Le driver openchrome n'est pas déjà installé dans ubuntu???? Par ce que moi j'ai l'acceleration 3D qui fonctionne mais compiz ne fonctionne pas!!!

Si t'as la 3D c'est que le Driver est là !

La manip pour avoir compiz :
Dans un terminal :

sudo gedit /usr/bin/compiz

tu cherches cette ligne

WHITELIST="nvidia intel ati radeon i810"

rajoute a la fin avant les guillemets

via

et/ou

openchrome

redémarre ton serveur X

normalement ca devrait fonctionner.

salut chewbacca et merci de m'avoir répondu smile
j'ai fait ce que tu ma dit met quand je rajoute openchrome dans la ligne whitelist et que j'active compiz fusion ma session graphique crash est je revien a l'écrand de connexion gdm.
J'ai essayé de mettre via a la place de openchrome mais sa me marque "les effets n'on pas pu être activé. Et j'ai essayé de mettre via et openchrome sur la ligne met quand j'active compiz ma session graphique crash.:(

Bizarre, peut-être fait il que tu upgrades ta version du pilote.

pour cela, faut voir quel est ton matos.

Ce n'est pas le piote Openchrome qui est actif sur ta machine.

MMh, tente une désinstallation/réinstalaltion du pilote et modifie ton xorg avec ce que je t'ai mis précédemment

Quand je veut instaler le paquet il dise que le paquet et déjà installer mais que je peut le réenstaller. Sa sert à rien que je l'install vu qu'il est déjà installé sad

sudo apt-get remove "le paquet du driver"
sudo apt-get install "le nom du paquet"

Il est zarb ton chipset de faire cher comme ca, moi mon chrome9 j'lai installé au poil sans difficultés majeures

oui mais peut être que sa crash par ce que mon chipset n'est pas assez puissant pour mettre compiz fusion

Normalement si, Mon chrome 9 se débrouille pas trop mal (900 FPS au glxgears)

Ou ca peut être un crash du a compiz aussi, faudrait voir...

Fais une copie du /var/log/Xorg.0.log, on verra ce que disent les messages d'erreur, et on avisera en conséquence.

salut moi aussi j'ai un chipset km400/kn400 et j'ai trouvé un autre pilote qui est via_ubuntu710_unichrome-v40072d-kernel-bin-_v0.80.Mais au moment de l'installation après avoir suivi le fichier readme et ouvert un terminal dans via_ubuntu710_unichrome-v40072d-kernel-bin-_v0.80  j'ai tapé :

sh VIA_U710_UniChrome-GFX-v40072d.run

et ça donne

 sh VIA_U710_UniChrome-GFX-v40072d.run
