[RESOLU] Grub, menu.lst... Dual boot + boot sur 2 ème DD

Bonjour tout le monde,:)

J'ai 2 DD : Le premier en dual boot - UBUNTU et XP Pro
Le deuxième boot en VISTA oem familial

J'étais en UBUNTU d'abord, et j'ai installé Windows XP Pro en dual boot ensuite. J'ai du réparer mon grub pour pouvoir booter de nouveau sur UBUNTU. Ca marche sauf que plus de trace de WIN XP Pro dans le grub.

Lors du démarrage grub , celui-ci me propose UBUNTU et ses variantes et VISTA, mais pas de trace de mon XP.

Je crois que je dois éditer mon menu.lst , mais comment ?:/

Salut, ben commence par donner ton fichier menu.lst. On y verra plus claire, non?

sudo gedit /boot/grub/menu.lst #remplace gedit par kate pour kde

rajoute à la fin

title Windows
root (hd0,1) #1 si c'est sur la 2ième partition que se trouve win
chainloader +1

enregistre, redémarre

choisis windows

s'il y a une erreur, redémarre, place toi sur win
appuis deux fois sur e,
remplace 1 par 2 (fais des tests) dans
root (hd0,1)

puis valides en appuyant sur la touche enter puis sur la touche b

ne fois la bonne valeur trouvée, réédite la section du menu.lst

Salut

Essaye de rajouter en fin de menu.lst un paragraphe comme ceci :

# This entry automatically added by the Debian installer for a non-linux OS
# on /dev/sda1
title Microsoft Windows Xp
root (hd0,0)
savedefault
chainloader +1

en espérant qu'Xp soit installé sur /dev/sda1 sinon il faudra jouer avec la ligne en gras :
/dev/sda2 --> root (hd0,1) etc..

Pour éditer ton menu.lst la commande est :
sudo gedit /boot/grub/menu.lst

J'ai édité le menu.lst comme tu disais Jeanjd ...

J'esssaie un reboot et je te dis quoi

Hello,

Merci les gars et en particulier un grand merci à Jeanjd qui me dépanne pour la deuxième fois !!

Ca baigne, ça roule nickel de chez UBUNTU !

Menu.lst impecc : J'ai les trois versions UBUNTU generic, mentest et recovery
J'ai en plus maintenant les 2 OS Windows XP et Vista

Je suis aux anges, je peux utiliser l'un ou l'autre OS et faire tourner mes anciens programmes que je n'ai pas encore retrouvés en version UBUNTU (J'ai pas bien cherché parce qu'ils existent sûrement):D

Encore une fois merci et j'espère être en mesure de vous aider, moi aussi (Y faut encore attendre un peu ...:)
