glxgears = 1500fps en moyenne

heu bah moi j'arrive a rien hmm

Carte video Ati X700 Pci-express
Ecran Mitusbishi 120u

j'ai suivi la procedure mis remis en cas de non-fonctionnement mais:

root@NexNex:~# lspci | grep ati

elle n'est pas pris en charge et puis :

qui montre que ce n'est pas utiliser bref j'ai vraiment mis ce qu'il fallait dans le xorg.conf et modules comme montrer au debut
sinon j'utilise le kernel suivant :

Apparement tu as installé une nouvelle version 8.12 ou 8.14 et le module chargé est de version 8.8,
Il te suffit de suivre ce petit tutoriel et tout devrait rentrer dans l'ordre:

1. download official driver .rpm from ATI
2. remove fglrx packages using Synaptic
3. shut down Gnome (terminal: sudo /etc/init.d/gdm stop)
4. cd to download-location
5. sudo alien fglrx_ ... .rpm
6. sudo mv /lib/modules/YOURKERNELVRSIONHERE/kernel/drivers/video/fglrx.ko $HOME
7. sudo dpkg --force-overwrite -i fglrx- ... .deb
8. cd /lib/modules/fglrx/build_mod
9. sudo sh make.sh
10. cd /lib/modules/fglrx
11. sudo sh make_install.sh
12. sudo modprobe fglrx
13. sudo fglrxconfig

Pour la compilation du module verifie que tu as installé les paquet linux-header et linux-restricted-modules correpondant a ton noyau.
ex: linux-headers-2.6.10-5-386  et linux-restricted-modules-2.6.10-5-386

[edit] il te faut aussi les sources du noyau  ex: linux-source-2.6.10

Tu peux de contenter de faire :

sudo mv /lib/modules/YOURKERNELVRSIONHERE/kernel/drivers/video/fglrx.ko $HOME

et de reinstaller le drivers derrière, tu verras bien si ça suffit ou non.

Percy, personnellement j'ai eu les même soucis que toi.

je les ais résolus en exécutant les commandes suivantes :

cp /lib/modules/fglrx/fglrx.ko /lib/modules/2.6.10-5-386/misc/
depmod -ae
modprobe fglrx

Je ne suis pas sûr que tu sois exactement dans les même conditions que toi, par contre j'avais vraiment les même symptomes (fglrxinfo indiquait : OpenGL vendor string: Mesa project... + plantage fgl_glxgears + DRI not initialized... dans /var/log/Xlog.0.log).
Pour ma part j'ai fait l'installation grâce à l'installer fournit par ATI (ati-driver-installer-8.14.13.run) après avoir récupéré les sources et le header du noyau via synaptic.

Mon fichier xorg.conf correspond à la plupart de ceux présentés dans les divers forum :

salut, amis UBUNTUIENS wink

lorsque j'essaye de lancer X (startX), j'ai un message d'erreur comme quoi il n'a pas trouvé la carte, ce qui en soit peut paraitre normal vu que la carte du portable sur lequel j'essaye de lancer X (xorg) avec fglrx est une mobility M6 (qui n'est pas dans la liste des cartes fonctionnant avec les pilotes ATI). J'aimerais forcer la detection de la carte pour lancer les pilotes ATI car lorsque j'avais testé la SUZE a l'epoque les pilotes ATI (surement moins tatillon en detection) acceptaient de se lancer et fonctionnaient correctement.

donc :
quelq'un sait-il comment faire pour forcer la detection de la carte ?

sur le site d'ATI pour mon portable il m'envoie sur le site du constructeur qui ne connais que microsoft frown.gif (et oui c'est un DELL --smartstep250N--).

Les xscreensavers 3D ont l'air de rouler plus cool (j'ai rien tester d'autre pour le moment).[/EDIT]

C'est bizarre, je n'ai pas les scores sous les yeux mais il me semble qu'en installant les drivers via synaptic et en configurant bien mon xorg (avec dpkg reconfigure) j'atteints des scores plutot moyen (environs 400 au fgl_glxgears) alors que voici mes specs :

J'ai désiré attendre de réussir à configurer correctement ma carte ATi, au niveau de la sortie-TV principalement, avant de venir ici poster mes résultats.
Merci pour ce tuto, en fait, merci à cette communauté qui ne cesse de m'épater ! Ubuntu-fr, ou comment rendre linux bien plus accessible. La "puissance" de la distribution ne fait pas tout, le S.A.V. y joue pour beaucoup aussi !!! big_smile
