pb catalyst 8.9

Salut je suis le tuto pour installer catalyst 8.9. Mais lorsque je tape

sudo dpkg -i xorg-driver-fglrx_8.476-0ubuntu1_i386.deb

dans le terminal voici ce que j'obtient...........................?
Je ne sais pas trop quoi faire

Ça va créer 4 paquets .deb dans votre dossier personnel (5 avec Catalyst 8.8). Commencez par installer xorg-driver-fglrx_[...].deb car tous les paquets en dépendent. Si vous ne l'installez pas en premier il ira chercher la vieille version dans les dépôts apt d'Ubuntu.

mais le pb est que je ne trouve qu'un seul .deb

et comment les trouver dans dossier personnel
comment trouver dossier personnel. C'est le dossier /home/"nom d'utilisateur"  ?????

Salut, pourquoi est-ce que tu as tapé plusieurs fois de suite ? :

./ati-driver-installer-8-9-x86.x86_64.run --buildandinstallpkg
sh ./ati-driver-installer-8-9-x86.x86_64.run --buildpkg Ubuntu
sh ./ati-driver-installer-8-9-x86.x86_64.run –buildpkg Ubuntu/hardy

C'est vrai que la doc a besoin d'un petit rafraîchissement, parce que c'est un peu le bazar tout ça roll

Pour info : le dossier personnel est l'équivalent de "Mes Documents" sous Win. C'est le dossier dans lequel il y a les dossiers "document" "image "musique" "Public" etc..
Tu peux y accéder en cliquant sur Raccourcis>Dossier personnel

À mon avis tu devrais recommencer le tuto depuis le début big_smile :

Dégaine ta console wink
- désinstallation de ce que tu as éventuellement installé :

sudo sh /usr/share/ati/fglrx-uninstall.sh

- on reprend depuis le début : vérifie tes dépôts

sudo apt-get remove fglrx*
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get install module-assistant build-essential dkms fakeroot dh-make debconf libstdc++5 gcc-3.3-base linux-headers-$(uname -r) cdbs

Coupe et colle ton fichier ati-driver-installer-8-9-x86.x86_64.run dans ton /home/elrockito87
puis toujours dans la console :

cd /home/elrockito87

puis

chmod +x ati-driver-installer-8-9-x86.x86_64.run
sudo ./ati-driver-installer-8-9-x86.x86_64.run

Une fenêtre apparaît, répond toujours de manière positive (comme sous Win ^^ ).
Une fois l'installation finit, on créer les paquets :

Dans la console :

sudo sh ./ati-driver-installer-8-9-x86.x86_64.run --buildpkg Ubuntu/hardy

A ce moment il te compile les paquets. Ils apparaîtront dans ton /home personnel
Installes-les avec GDebi, en double-cliquant sur les paquets crées dans ton /home, respecte l'ordre de la doc à savoir :
En premier xorg-driver-fglrx_8.9-0ubuntu1_i386.deb
Puis xorg-driver-fglrx-dev_8.9-0ubuntu1_i386.deb
Ensuite fglrx-kernel-source_8.9-0ubuntu1_i386.deb
Enfin fglrx-amdcccle_8.9-0ubuntu1_i386.deb

Pour finir :

sudo aticonfig --initial -f

Cette commande règle le fichier xorg.conf automatiquement, ça marche dans la plupart des cas.
Si ce n'est pas la cas chez toi, modifie ton fichier xorg.conf manuellement :

gksu gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf

puis créer la ligne

	Driver	"fglrx"

dans la section "Device", entre "Identifier" et "BusID"
Redémarre le PC (ou le serveur X) et normalement tes Catalyst sont installés.
Vérifie avec la commande :

glxinfo | grep "direct rendering"

Qui doit te répondre "yes"

Si tu rencontres d'autres problèmes, n'hésite pas à poster !

ne peut pas lire le bas de la fenetre tente de redemarrer en recovery

tu commenceras par cocher la case "désinstaller le driver ATI" pour tenter de virer toutes les merdouilles existantes. Puis quand Envy NG aura fait le ménage, tu relanceras avec "installer le driver ATI" coché.

j'avais installe envyng et vire les anciens pilotes mais je suis passe en qwerty et j'ai fais la co****** d'accepter les paquets proprietaires propose par ubuntu au redemarage alors je ne sais pas si c'est les paquets proprietaire ou envyng qui a  pose le pb mais je vais refaire tout ça ce matin si les petits me laisse 2 min ou alors ce soir.
Si vous avez d'autres idees  malbo ou heliox je suis partant

Commence par modifier ton xorg.conf

gksu gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf

puis supprime totalement la ligne
        Driver          "fglrx"
qui se trouve dans la section "Device"
enregistre puis redémarre X (ctrl + alt + back)

Normalement tu devrais retrouver une résolution correcte (car le driver générique "vesa" sera chargé automatiquement)
rouvre ton terminal et tape :

sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

Répond en fonction de tes préférences (désactive le "framebuffer"). Puis redémarre, tu auras un clavier en français si tout se passe bien.
Ensuite je te conseil de reprendre ce qui est dit dans mon dernier message.
Mais si tu ne comprends pas ce qui est dit, contente-toi d'aller dans Système>Administration>Gestionnaire de pilotes propriétaires et coche la case "pilote d'accélération graphique ATI". Cette méthode te permet d'avoir les Catalyst 8.4 sans aucune manipulation.

Peut-être ta carte est-elle trop récente pour être détectée automatiquement par Ubuntu ??

Les différents paquets sont-ils tous bien crées ?
Le problème doit donc venir de la commande

sudo aticonfig --initial -f

qui reconfigure (?mal?) le serveur X ?
Dans ce cas, essaie peut-être de reprendre mais en t'arrêtant avant la commande citée puis modifie manuellement le fichier xorg.conf :
Créer la ligne suivante dans la section "Device" entre "Identifier" et "BusID" (en respectant les espaces, tabulations,etc) :

	Driver	"fglrx"

Peut-être la solution ?

Salut,

Je suis également nouveau sous Ubuntu 8.04 (-5jrs) et j'aimerais aussi profité de Compiz Fusion mais pour ça, je dois mettre à jour les pilotes de ma carte graphique. C'est une Gainward golden sample HD 4850.

Comme la méthode manuelle à l'air laborieuse (http://wiki.cchtml.com/index.php/Ubuntu … tion_Guide), j'ai voulu tester ta méthode.

J'ai donc installer EnvyNG.

Cependant, ça ne fonctionne pas. Quand je mets : mettre à jour le pilote ATI automatiquement, j'obtiens :

EnvyNG ERROR: Envy does not recognise your card as compatible with any version of the driver. This might happen because either your card is not supported by the driver or Envy's hardwaredectection failed. You can try the manual installation at your risk

Et la méthode manuelle ne me propose que la version 8-6 du pilote alors qu'elle est actuellement à la 8-9 !!! (http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/linu … adeon.html)

Du coup, EnvyNG a, c'est sûr, une interface graphique correcte, mais bon... si ça marche pas ensuite...

enfaite il installe la dérnier version STABLE des pilotes ATI est faut dire que les 8.9 sont pas stables...:rolleyes:..contrairement aux 8.6

Ah d'accord !!! Je ne savais pas que EnvyGN ne proposait que les pilotes stables.

Donc, je vais donc l'installer car les méthodes avec x lignes de commande, pour l'instant, je suis pas très chaud...

J'ai réinstallé mon systeme la et j'ai tenté les 8.9 (joie d'avoir enfin wine et compiz en même temps toussa)

probleme c'ets que tout ce passe merveilleuse ment bien sauf qu'au reboot X plante lamentablement ne me laissant pas d'autre choix que de reboot (même pas de prompt)
j'ai regardé le log et a part des warnings j'ai rien vue de probant
enfin je vous colle le log pour la rout.

Bon, j'ai lancé l'installation avec EnvyNG... résultat... écran en 800x600

J'ai bien lu qu'il fallait aller dans le fichier xorg.conf mais que faire ensuite au niveau de la résolution. Avant j'avais 1280x1024 (je crois... car ça s'était mis tout seul par défaut)

Comment faire pour retrouver ma résolution ???

Please Help me viiite... à chaque fois que je redémarre le PC, après le chargement de GRUB, j'ai un écran me disant que ni mon écran ni ma carte graphique n'ont été reconnus... et je dois les reconfigurer. Mais même lorsque je mets 1280x1024 pour la résolution d'écran, après la connexion à la session, il me met un petit 800x600 (je dis ça, mais c'est peut être moins... ça me fait presque mal à la tête tellement c'est gros...)
