# /etc/fstab: static file system information.
#
# <file system> <mount point> <type> <options> <dump> <pass>
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
# /dev/sda2
UUID=3c84a15b-e478-4b37-a1a2-1ec4f4498838 / ext3 defaults,errors=remount-ro 0 1
# /dev/hdb1
UUID=6C34834334830F70 /media/hdb1 ntfs defaults,umask=007,gid=46 0 1
# /dev/hdb5

# /dev/sda1

# /dev/sda5

# /dev/sda6
UUID=8094F44B94F444E6 /media/sda6 ntfs defaults,umask=007,gid=46 0 1
# /dev/sda7
UUID=b10f871f-5c53-4055-b0a5-c6b40df96baf none swap sw 0 0
/dev/hda /media/cdrom0 udf,iso9660 user,noauto,exec 0 0
/dev/fd0 /media/floppy0 auto rw,user,noauto,exec 0 0

@dudumomo : est-ce que cela ne viendrait pas de l'installation ?

grub> find /boot/grub/stage1
find /boot/grub/stage1
(hd1,1)
grub> root (hd1,1)
root (hd1,1)
grub> setup (hd1)
setup (hd1)
Checking if "/boot/grub/stage1" exists... yes
Checking if "/boot/grub/stage2" exists... yes
Checking if "/boot/grub/e2fs_stage1_5" exists... yes
Running "embed /boot/grub/e2fs_stage1_5 (hd1)"... 17 sectors are embedded.
succeeded
Running "install /boot/grub/stage1 (hd1) (hd1)1+17 p (hd1,1)/boot/grub/stage2 /boot/grub/menu.lst"... succeeded
Done.
Error 17 : Cannot mount selected partition

title Ubuntu 7.10, kernel 2.6.22-14-generic
root (hd1,1)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.22-14-generic root=UUID=3c84a15b-e478-4b37-a1a2-1ec4f4498838 ro quiet splash locale=fr_FR
initrd /boot/initrd.img-2.6.22-14-generic
quiet

sudo umount /dev/sdb2 --> qui correspond à (hd1,1) ne t'inquiète pas des messages d'erreur.
2) tu remontes cette partition sur /mnt :
sudo mount /dev/sdb2 /mnt
3) tu édites ton fichier menu.lst :
sudo gedit /mnt/boot/grub/menu.lst
là tu modifies tous les :
root (hd1,1)
# groot=(hd1,1)
par
# groot=(hd0,1)
enfin tu modifies ainsi la partie Xp :
# This entry automatically added by the Debian installer for a non-linux OS
# on /dev/sda1
title Microsoft Windows XP Professionnel
root (hd0,0)
savedefault
makeactive
chainloader

Patient ben t'as intérêt sinon faut être autonome

Je suis maudit
# menu.lst - See: grub(8), info grub, update-grub(8)
# grub-install(8), grub-floppy(8),
# grub-md5-crypt, /usr/share/doc/grub
# and /usr/share/doc/grub-doc/.## default num
# Set the default entry to the entry number NUM. Numbering starts from 0, and
# the entry number 0 is the default if the command is not used.
#
# You can specify 'saved' instead of a number. In this case, the default entry
# is the entry saved with the command 'savedefault'.
# WARNING: If you are using dmraid do not use 'savedefault' or your
# array will desync and will not let you boot your system.
