message d'erreur à l'ouverture du gestionnaire synaptic..

bonjour à toutes et tous!
voilà je débute sous ubuntu et  j'ai tenté d'installer "macromédia flash plug-in, et un message d'erreur s'est affiché :

"Une autre instance de synaptic est en cours d'exécution
Il y a une autre instance de synaptic qui tourne en mode interactif. Veuillez d'abord l'interrompre."

Et lorsque je tente d'aller sur synaptic j'ai ce message d'erreur :

"E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem.
E: _cache->open() failed, please report."

Lorsque je tente de taper " dkgp --configure -a" le terminal m'affiche :

" l'opération demandée requiert les privilèges du superutilisateur"

que dois-je faire?

Lorsque je tente de taper " dkgp --configure -a" le terminal m'affiche :

sudo dpkg --configure -a
