HP OfficeJet G55 port parallèle

Salut,

je créé ce post car j'ai un léger souci: mon imprimante OfficeJet G55 refuse de communiquer correctement avec ma Ubuntu 8.10 alors que lorsque j'étais sous Feisty, il n'y avait aucun problème !

Voici les détails:
Sous Feisty, en natif, l'imprimante imprime et scan tout ce qu'on lui demande

Sous Intrepid Ibex, même en installant la dernière vesion d'hplip ( http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/index.html ), il m'est impossible de communiquer autrement qu'en demandant d'imprimer une page.
Il me dira 'Started a print job' et 'print job has completed' mais pour tout autre chose, il me dira 'Device communication error' !
Si j'essaye de scanner avec X-sane, il me dit qu'il ne détecte aucun périphérique !

Identique, lorsque je fais un hp-check, il me dit que tout est OK, mais qu'il ne détecte aucun périphérique !

Toujours ce problème de port parall-le avec Hp-lip... Mais qui en sait davantage ? C'est ubuntu, linux, ou hp-lip qu'il faut blamer ? Et personne ne réagit à ce bug ?? On dirait que les ports parallèles n'émeuvent plus grand monde :s

Ca serait sympa de filer un coup de main la communauté
