Ben, il est dans le synaptique le 2.6.12.16 et je l'ai installé

sinon j'ai refais le tuto de benouil :

(Mais, quand même, grave les problèmes....)

Une idée, reprendre calmement.

Démarrer sur ton ancien kernel (celui de l'install 2.6.12. ??) Echap au boot.

Virer par synaptic (c'est plus facile pour être vraiment sur) tout ce qui a été rajouté comme kernel, tout les nvidia .

Puis, par synaptic toujours, rajouter le kernel qui va bien (avec les headers et restricted correspondant), re-installer les nvidia (common, glx, settings)

Non reprendre calmement là je peux plus, j'ai passé 3 jours à désinstaller réinstaller désinstaller réinstaller, j'ai du formater 6 fois en tout, j'ai passé + de 48h sur le même problème : TV out
De plus je suis sûr que ça ne passera toujours pas en suivant le tuto pour compiler le nouveau noyau, bref, merci beaucoup de votre aide je vous en suis très reconnaissant mais là, ras - le - bol

aïe, les problèmes se multiplient

mon tuto, je l'avais testé sur le moment, il marchait très bien.. ..chez moi, sur une install toute fraîche, donc ça devrait fonctionner chez toi si t'as pas trop trifouillé ton sources.list

tu as bien installé les librairies ncurses-dev?

Edit : j'ai vu que tu avais édité "menuconfig", c'est pour ça que ça passait aussi, c'est parceque je faisais des C/C de tes codes donc finalement menu-config ne devrait pas passer

EDIT 2 :

il doit y avoir une erreur dans la dernière ligne de commande :

/usr/src# dpkg -i linux-image-2.6.12.fantas.deb

Puis, à chacun son niveau, c'est pas indispensable pour l'utilisateur bureautique lambda AMHA. Mais si tu t'interresses un peu à ton système, t'en apprendra un peu plus chaque jours

Mais je te rassure, personne ne peut TOUT connaitre sous linux, c'est bien trop vaste...

Si je te dépanne, c'est que, comme tous ceux qui se lance dans l'aventure linux, j'ai eu droit ç ce genre de moments de solitudes..

utilise la complétion automatique, c'est super pratique !!! utilise la touche TAB pour compléter les commandes, répertoires...
fais 'dpkg -i li[TAB]'
et bash te completera linux-image-2.6.12_xxxxxxxx.deb

Ok verdict : Formatage (le 7eme)

je me suis bel et bien retrouvé avec le nouveau noyau, sauf que.... impossible de se connecter plus de son, des erreurs, j'ai pas été chercher plus loin, et toujours la même erreur d'interface pour les drivers nvidia en .run -_-..............

Je tente le tout pour le tout, je le réinstalle, si ça passe pas, j'me jete du rez de chaussé

Ok j'ai installé le nouveau noyau et pris soin de l'uploader ici > http://fantasmagorial8.free.fr/kernel-image-2.6.12.2-03-2006_10.00.Custom_i386.deb

si tu as besoin de le passer à quelqu'un...

Toujours est-il que je ne peux pas lancer le .run même erreur, "no precompiled kernel interface blablablablabla..."

j'ai formaté et installé directement ton noyau, je n'ai "rien" fait d'autre

dans ce cas, c'est normal, il te faut les kernel-source configurées pour installer le .run de nvidia

Ce que tu peux faire, c'est refaire mon tuto jusqu'au make-kpkg exclus, et après l'install des dernier drivers nvidia devrait marcher
